Re: vga
I have an imacg4 17" flat screen with the white round base. I tried to feed video to my TV via that vga adapter and it only worked for some videos. I cannot remember which ones but I read somewhere that the iMacg4 I have was more oriented towards acedemics. Even iTunes purchased videos wouldn't play on the TV with the adapter. Don't know if that helps or not.. Todd On Sep 13, 2010, at 4:07 PM, Dennis B. Any Intel iMac would be a distinct improvement over the MDD, but I'd recommend getting at least a 2nd Gen (using the Core 2 Duo) over the first Gen which use the Core Duo CPU...there's quite a difference in performance between the two. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are a member of the iMac Group, a group for those using Apple iMacs and eMacs. considering a used iMac
I've been running a PowerMac MDD for almost 7 yrs now, and feel it is time to move up to something a little newer. I can't afford an iMac right out of the store so can anyone recommend a used model? I do some graphic design (photoshop, inDesign) and want to try transferring some vhs tapes to dvd. I'm not very familiar with these and have always had towers that I could customize. iTunes Nuisance
What could possibly cause the iTunes application to launch itself three times in 4 or 5 minutes this afternoon, and do it again repeatedly at random intervals? What could cause it to launch itself when this iMac is in sleep? iTunes is opening with a screen for downloading music, importing CDs, and watching tutorials, all of which I do not care to do. Is Apple playing games with this machine? Running OS X 10.6.4 on iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with iTunes 10.0. Several weeks ago, this random launching also happened when I was running the latest version of iTunes 9. The only way I used iTunes 9 is to occasionally listen to Radio. I have not used iTunes 10. Other Apple Stuff in the House: Old style Apple TV, wife's MacBook, and wife's old style iPod Touch, all using WiFi on Apple Express 802.11g and syncing her iTunes. My iMac is set for WiFi on Time Capsule 802.11n, but AirPort is turned off in favor of Ethernet to the Time Capsule. Apple Express and Time Capsule are ethernetted to a Verizon FiOS box whose WiFi is turned off. I played with SiteSucker over the weekend after downloading the .dmg. It promises to be useful for me, but the first website I attempted seemed set to lock out any copying.
