[efloraofindia:180317] Please serialize your uploads every month separately.

2014-01-28 Thread Gurcharan Singh
Dear friends
The various uploads by members, whether identified or those meant for
identification are real life of this group, enabling members to see new
plants, refreshing their memories and keeping experts busy and active. In
order to help us compile and tabulate the data I would again request
members to serialize their uploads separately each month. To keep data
separate for monthly fortnights and general posts, I would request members
to serialize them separately every month. You should start from 1 every
month to avoid spill over from previous month. Please indicate month with
the serial number. For my February uploads my serial number would start
like this:
1. Salicaceae (including Flacourtiaceae) Fortnight:.(Plant name or
unique code ) from..(place)-GS-Feb-1
2.(Plant name or unique code) from
...(Place)-GS-Feb-1 (for general posts)

At the end of the month you may send a mail also indicating your number of
uploads in each category.

Re: [efloraofindia:180325] Please serialize your uploads every month separately.

2014-01-28 Thread Dinesh Valke
Thanks Gurcharan ji for this advice; it will streamline the group's
database.

I propose that the mail we send at the end of fortnight OR the month to
carry a standard subject line ... something like this:

1) My Salicaceae (including Flacourtiaceae) February 2014 Fortnight uploads
2) My February 2014 uploads

If everyone writes the same and exact subject line they would all merge
into the same thread - and it would be to our advantage. It would be less
burdensome for the person who compiles the statistics.

Regards.
Dinesh

[efloraofindia:180328] Syzygium

Dear members,

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on
Syzygiumhttps://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/m/myrtaceae/syzygium

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in
India nearby areas with details keys directly or through links as far
as possible. It's quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the
accepted names synonyms taken from other links.

Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the
page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see
all the details.

Any comments are welcome.

It would be less
burdensome for the person who compiles the statistics.

identification are real life of this group, enabling members to see new
plants, refreshing their memories and keeping experts busy and active. In
order to help us compile and tabulate the data I would again request
members to serialize their uploads separately each month. To keep data
separate for monthly fortnights and general posts, I would request members
to serialize them separately every month. You should start from 1 every
month to avoid spill over from previous month. Please indicate month with
the serial number. For my February uploads my serial number would start
 like this:
 1. Salicaceae (including Flacourtiaceae) Fortnight:.(Plant name
 or unique code ) from..(place)-GS-Feb-1
2.(Plant name or unique code) from
 ...(Place)-GS-Feb-1 (for general posts)

At the end of the month you may send a mail also indicating your number
 of uploads in each category.

[efloraofindia:180344] Trichosanthes

2014-01-28 Thread J.M. Garg
Dear members,

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on
Trichosantheshttps://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/a---l/cl/cucurbitaceae/trichosanthes

[efloraofindia:180361] Premna

2014-01-28 Thread J.M. Garg
Dear members,

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on
Premnahttps://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/a---l/l/lamiaceae/premna

Any comments/ corrections are welcome.

[efloraofindia:180374] Ixora

2014-01-28 Thread J.M. Garg
Dear members,

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on
Ixorahttps://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rubiaceae/ixora

Any comments/ corrections are welcome.

It might be Calliandra haematocephala Alba.
Calliandra haematocephala has red flowers (think haemoglobin!) and smaller
leaflets.
