lm command
Hi guys, I am haveing trouble deleting, or renaming a few mailboxes that I created when I first set up the system for testing purposes. Cyrus has been running for 6 months without a problem with about 100 users, but I would like to tidy these up. When I try to delete these mailboxes I either get command failed: Mailbox does not exist or command failed: Operation is not supported on mailbox. I have attached my sessions below so you can see what I do... Should I delete the corresponding directories and then rebuild the database or what? Thanks for taking the time, Daniel. --- lm INBOX nick.kotlarksi user.achim user.achim.Sent user.adam user.daniel sam user.daniel root rl // as a test lam user.daniel danielm lrswipcda root lr//expected result sam nick.kotlarski root c command failed: Mailbox does not exist lam nick.kotlarski command failed: Mailbox does not exist sam INBOX root c lam INBOX root lca dm INBOX command failed: Operation is not supported on mailbox ---
delete folders...
Hey all, Just a quick question on a point I seem to be stuck... How can I delete folders outside of the user area? People are able to create folders in a level above their inbox, but they can't delete them, I don't seem to be able to delete them through cyradmin either (no it's not an ACL problem). Should I just delete them from the level of the operating system? Then would I have to resync the database? Some clues pls... Daniel.
bare newliines
Hi cyrusers! I've been importing mail from Eudora. I import the mail into Mozilla, using the import function. It then appears in local mail. I then copy the mail over to the IMAP server. I've often been copying emal I hit an email that is not properly constructed and aborts the copy fails. The error is that there are bare newlines in the emails... What can be done about this? D.
happy first timer
I want to say thanks for the tips I received over the last week or so. The problems turned out to be fairly minor permissions problems in both cases, but I might have taken a while longer to find them if not for some hints I got here (and on a french sendmail site hehe). I am so happy I have Cryus up and running! Yay! Time to break out the champagne... :-) Daniel.
