News for SIG11: imapd only crashes when account is configured for subscribed folders.
Yeah! I don't believe it! I can access my imapd account. All I did was changing the advanced options in mozilla to get all folders and not only the subscribed ones. Maybe this will help you find the bug finally. Thanks a lot. Bye, Levo. P.S. That unknown option -s for imapd and pop3d still persists and causes SIG11, too. 2.0.16, sasl 1.5.24
Q: pop3d: invalid option -- s, same with imapd. What am I missing?
Hi everyone! When starting up cyrus, I get the following error messages: pop3d: invalid option -- s imapd: invalid option -- s and both, imapd and pop3d crash with SIG11. ldd shows that libssl stuff is compiled and linked in. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? I hope that this somehow relates to my other SIG11 problems that occur everytime I log in to imapd using a fresh imap client. However I can log into my account using an imap client that has been configured over a year ago. Strange, isn't it? Any idea would be very very greatly appreciated. Thanx a lot. Re: Q: pop3d: invalid option -- s, same with imapd. What am I missing?
Hi Ken, I use imapd 2.0.16 (which seems the current version to me) and sasl-1.5.24. I took the original cyrus.conf and didn't touch its services. Thanks again for any hint. I am fighting with this one for months now... :-( Bye, Levo. --- snip --- SERVICES { # add or remove based on preferences imap cmd=imapd listen=imap prefork=5 imaps cmd=imapd -s listen=imaps prefork=1 pop3 cmd=pop3d listen=pop3 prefork=3 pop3s cmd=pop3d -s listen=pop3s prefork=1 sieve cmd=timsieved listen=sieve prefork=0 # at least one LMTP is required for delivery # lmtp cmd=lmtpd listen=lmtp prefork=0 lmtpunix cmd=lmtpd listen=/var/imap/socket/lmtp prefork=1 } Ken Murchison wrote: Levent Gündogdu wrote: Hi everyone! Re: Cyrus 2.0.14 on Linux and signal 11
Hi everyone, I also run into signal 11. But it happens when I try to access the mailserver through imap only. imapd gets signaled to death by 11, when I connect to it with a fresh imap-client, that is, a client which has no information about the folder structure yet. I only have one client, that is a w2k with netscape, that can access the imap server without any problems, but this client was configured over a year ago and knows the folder structure. Other users can access their mails through pop3 without any problems. I also have another user who uses an outlook mailclient with imap and he can also download his mails without any problems, but his folder structure is also known for over a year. I saw that many of the processes, which are invoked by master, can have a -d option for debug. But unfortunately imapd does not seem to have such an option. I'd like to know what happens there since I really want to access my mails from another client (which is linux), but imapd dies in the moment any fresh client (mozilla, netscape, evolution) looks up for mail folders. Do you have any suggestions? I am positive that the hardware is okay, I tested it and especially the server's RAM last week for over 48h and the server is in production for month now, so I assume it has to do something with cyrus. Thank you for any help you can offer. Bye, Levent.
