It has more authentication modes than any other package I've seen. Ok,I know this is the wrong list, but the horde documentation is IMHO somewhat insufficient and outdated... It sucks, to be blunt. I was looking for a simple way to create/delete users, read other user's mail, Yes - you can manage users; change the permissions on folders, subscribe and unsubscribe to folders, change SIEVE filters (including other user's filters). You can at least view quota information, I believe you can change those settings if you are an administrator. and maybe managing IMAP quotas. The system consists of cyrus imapd/sendmail/PAM authentication via saslauthd. Horde can authenticate users by checking to see if it can establish an IMAP connection; so it can use whatever Cyrus is configured to use. Or it can use a database (aka SQL/RDBMS) for users, or an LDAP server. I'd love to hear some success stories... 10x in advance, Stoyan P.S. res, * Res [EMAIL PROTECTED] [2006-11-13 23:08]: Looking for a web management interface to cyrus-imap, one that allows domain admins to add/del email accounts etc. Cyrus-Imap 2.3 + Sendmail The ones we've found on google all seem to refer to exim or postfix. since everyone else seemed to suggest a webmail application instead of the requestes web management app, I'll throw in cyrusmaster (google: cyrus web inetrface, 1st match). not sure it does virtual domains, though. also it heavily uses LDAP which you probably won't like, otherwise you'd be using Exi... ooops ;) cheers, -p.schober -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] - vienna university computer center Universitaetsstrasse 7, A-1010 Wien, Austria/Europe Tel. +43-1-4277-14155, Fax. +43-1-4277-9140 Cyrus Home Page: http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/ Cyrus Wiki/FAQ: http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/twiki List Archives/Info: http://asg.web.cmu.edu/cyrus/mailing-list.html

Plz don't waste your energy if you want to reply use exim/postfix because we do not intent to move from Sendmail as we need some of its very advanced features for other things... and you'll be ignored :) Any pointers in a good direction muchly appreciated. -- Cheers Res Just a world that we all must share, it's not enough just to stand and stare, is it only a dream that there'll be no more turning away - Floyd Cyrus Home Page: http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/ Cyrus Wiki/FAQ: http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/twiki List Archives/Info: http://asg.web.cmu.edu/cyrus/mailing-list.html Cyrus Home Page: http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/ Cyrus Wiki/FAQ: http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/twiki List Archives/Info: http://asg.web.cmu.edu/cyrus/mailing-list.html
