Re: [info-tech] pdf converter

2010-09-13 Thread Doug Otto
That would work, but I have teachers with multiple PDF files from their
curriculum that they want their students to download from Moodle edit and
turn in. Uploading, waiting for conversion, and downloading those files
takes awhile. Thanks for the idea though.

[info-tech] Apple changed iPod/iPad policy for Education

2010-09-13 Thread Donna Sennert
Hi,

In August, Apple changed the policy for education and apps for the iPod and
iPad. This does not affect you if you only use free apps. But if you pay for
them, it is a big change. Here is a website that describes the change.

[info-tech] Document Sharing

2010-09-13 Thread Richardson,Tony
Hello All,

We have about 60 Smartboards in our district now and along with that comes a
ton of new lessons produced by Smart Notebook software and by other means. I am
looking for a method to archive and index these lessons and make it easy for
teachers to add and search for them. I would like a web interface for them to
use to search and upload. Not interested in trying to do this with Google or
l...@edu due to the online storage space limitation.

Is MS Sharepoint the answer or are their other software packages that would be
simpler for all concerned? From the looks of it Sharepoint could be a bear to
setup and maintain. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
