Re: [info-tech] Managing iPods/iPads and Magic TV Remote
I would also love to know how people are managing iPads/iPods in their districts. Is anyone using the Casper add-on? I think that is the route I am going to go. Re: [info-tech] Skills Iowa & Lightspeed
Spirit Lake has had much trouble with Skills Iowa as well. Their tech support seems to ALWAYS say it is on our end. Hearing that other districts are having the same issue makes me wonder if that is indeed the case. Last year at Okoboji we had the same issues and they always said it must be something with our system. I come to Spirit Lake this year and it is more of the same. Hmm... [info-tech] Student Health
Just wondering what everyone is using for recording student visits and other health related information. We are needing a new system and our nurse is reluctant to use JMC due to its inadequacies. Re: [info-tech] graphics tablets
To add to my last, during my demoing process when we chose our tablets we thought the software offered by eInstruction for the Mobis was a little better than that of the Qomos. IMHO. RE: [info-tech] e-bay
I wanted to at Okoboji and was told no, we can't do that. No reason was given. -Original Message- From: Lance Lennon [mailto:llen...@eagle-grove.k12.ia.us] Sent: Friday, June 04, 2010 8:05 AM To: info-tech@aea8.k12.ia.us Subject: [info-tech] e-bay I often purchase things on e-bay. Sometimes I even purchase items for the school on e-bay and get reimbursed. I have been asked by a math teacher to place some TI-86 calculators and other classroom items on e- bay. Has anyone SOLD school items on ebay? If so how did you transfer the money to the school? Did you get board approval? I guess I am asking what your process was. [info-tech] RapidRun?
Thank you all for the projector insight! Next question. You know me, full of questions. How many of you use RapidRun cabling to run cable to your projectors? Good, bad, indifferent? Thanks, Chad Frerichs Director of Technology Spirit Lake Community School District
[info-tech] Projectors
I know this has been asked on here before, but here I go again. What projectors are people using in the classrooms? Plus, are you utilizing the built in projector speakers or are you using external speakers of some kind? My question on the speaker is really, is a 7 watt projector speakers sufficient for a classroom? Thanks, Chad Frerichs Director of Technology Spirit Lake Community School District
