I think on Windows you can do something with the registry per-dir too.
On unix there's no registry though. Maybe we need some generic solution
to this (like for FastCGI users)? Anybody has good ideas?

Greetings,
Please forgive me for forking this thread. But my reasons are two fold:
1) Attempt to generate some valuable, and seemingly needed documentation for
php-doc(s).

I'm sure Docu Team ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) would appreciate any help from you.

2007-07-20 Thread Gaetano Giunta
Shameless plug: I just posted a beginner's tutorial on my own
multiple-php-installs setup:

http://gggeek.altervista.org/2007/07/21/running-multiple-php-versions-on-a-single-apache-install/
it contains links to many similar blog posts that a quick Google search
returned.
The most complete one is:

[PHP-DEV] PHP parallel builds/installs - that's the challange...

Greetings,
Please forgive me for forking this thread. But my reasons are two fold:
1) Attempt to generate some valuable, and seemingly needed documentation for
php-doc(s).

2) Provide a forum for success stories and Q/A in this area (see #1).

3) Attempt to keep this topic from sneaking it's way into other threads and
annoying the original poster - dev's, are you hearing this. :)

OK that was three fold. But #1 and #2 seemed somewhat synonymous. ;)

So. If it's not clear by now, this thread is intended to help answer, and
solicit
comments/success stories, and all things related to building/installing/running
multiple versions of PHP on one server/boxen.

Hope this helps, and best wishes to all.
