Hi Walt, OK, I will check that with SDR-IQ. The schedule originates from VOR, but VOR schedule is usually unreliable. But there may be confusion in the ID because also RMR mentions Golos Rossii in it's ID. 73, Mauno - Original Message - From: Walter Salmaniw [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Mailing list for the International Radio Club of America irca@hard-core-dx.com Sent: Tuesday, November 13, 2007 6:08 PM Subject: Re: [IRCA] Russia 1215 weak tonight, At 03:36 AM 11/13/2007, you wrote: Hi Walt, R. Bruce, Congratulations on Russia on 1215. All of the talking that I have heard from announcers has been in Russian. One pop song heard might have been English, but not really sure. At 08:22 PM 11/10/2007, you wrote: Does anyone know for sure where is the transmitter site for the Russian on 1215? Bill, as I understand it, it's a 1200 kw transmitter in Kalinigrad, that part of European Russian which is geographically separate from the rest of Russia. Used to belong to Germany (East Prussia, I think it was called between the first and second world wars). Bordered by Belarus on the south and one of the Baltic countries (which one, I have forgotten) to the north. .Walt. ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
