Re: [IRCA] TA to LW TP
Back in the 'day' as in 1976, TA's on the West Coast were treated like nectar... It was a big deal - Nick and I both heard our first TA's ever from Victoria on the same night... Breathless phone calls were exchanged... notes were compared the next day... It was revolutionary. Now it is routine. Still, some of the openings are still awe inspiring... especially on limited equipment or antennas... And thought provoking too because we never had so much to pick from as we do now - and not sure why. Guess it is what it is. Aloha from Sunny Kona - where TA's, til now, are only a thing of the imagination. -- .. [IRCA] TA to LW TP
0548UT, R. Rossii is already making an appearance on 234, maybe a bit of audio also on 279. Haven't had much time to TA DX tonight; although there seemed to be plenty of carriers, I've noted infrequent audio only on 855, 1134, and 1215 so far. Then 963 came up just before 0600, to dive into the weeds with 30 seconds to go. Some audio also on 675 and 756 at this time, but not enough to get anything on the hour. best wishes, Nick * Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
