Bismillah [IslamCity] Freedom

2008-05-22 Thread saiyed shahbazi
Violence occurs as an obstacle in the path towards freedom. Every desire/action
of a human being is a sub-conscious effort to attain freedom. Now the question
arises, why freedom! To start with, we do not make a choice of our births,
colours, cultures etc. on our own. This is our first dilemma that contradicts
our pride of being born free. Secondly, we are said to have a free will but
side-by-side we are told what to do and what not to do! Hence, unknowingly or
knowingly we have an innate desire to cut these chains to arrive at a state of
freedom.
Still, why lack of freedom gives rise to violence? It is because one-way or
the other, we blame others for depriving us of freedom. This situation arises
due to the paradox of looking for right things at wrong places:
One evening, a neighbour noticed that Mulla Nasruddin was searching for
something outside of his home. He approached Nasruddin and asked, ‘Mulla! Have
you lost something? Mulla told him that he lost his ring and asked his help to
find the ring. . After some searching without any result, the neighbour asked,
‘where did you exactly drop it?’
Mulla replied, ‘Inside the house’
‘If you lost the ring inside your house, then why are you looking for it here.’
‘Well, there is more light out here.’ Replied Mulla.
This is exactly the situation, as we like to draw a straight line on a
crooked surface. For instance, politically, we shout freedom but ended up
obtaining smaller countries out of bigger countries. Likewise, slogans of
religious freedom concentrate us in smaller pockets. Evidently, humanity
compromises sky of freedom with less and less space. Is it freedom or
imprisonment? It is strange that freedom, which is limitless, is seen through
the lens of extreme limitedness. This is a great human tragedy that we desire
an open sky by confining ourselves into a tiny dungeon. With this conflict of
understanding, chaos is the only outcome, yet we want to live a peaceful life.
The gravity of self-created contradictions keeps us pulling down from the sky
of freedom to live a life of anger and frustration giving rise to a violent way
of life. Basically, we are thirsty for inner freedom, but hiding this ailment
with tons of fancy diseases like lack of power, not being religious, not
 wealthy etc. etc.
A king after taking a heavy meal felt dryness in his throat. The court
physicians had been called and after consultation, he was given some sort of
oil to apply but dryness remained. Then, he had been asked to take honey, but
dryness of his throat sustained. They kept on trying different methods, but
condition of King’s throat kept getting worse. At that point, they ended up
inviting a wise man. After checking King’s throat and getting information about
the symptoms, disease was diagnosed as ‘thirst’ with the treatment of ‘water’
and lo! The King was healed.
Surrounded with so many lies yet in search of truth, we talk about peace and
non-violence. It is like dreaming light with closed eyes. Unless and until we
face ourselves truthfully, there can be no genuine solution to any genuine
problem. This is what freedom is all about i.e. to determine the causes of
chains and bonds that are hindering us to fly like an eagle in an open sky. To
put it in more realistic words, to realize what is stopping us to feel more
loving and joyful, as ‘freedom’ and ‘being in love’ is synonymous. People who
love and laugh a lot are never violent and only such individuals seem to be
capable of piercing the veil of conditioning and gets transported to a stage
where religion, sects, nationalities do not matter. Love has an inherent
quality of extinguishing the fire of hatred and violence in no time whatsoever.
This is where, violence ends and peace begins.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Orthodox Jewish youths burn New Testaments in Or Yehuda

2008-05-22 Thread Jose Murekan
*Orthodox Jewish youths burn New Testaments in Or Yehuda*
*20/05/2008 - By The Associated Press*
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/985362.html

Orthodox Jews set fire to hundreds of copies of the New Testament in the
latest act of violence against Christian missionaries in the Holy Land.

Or Yehuda Deputy Mayor Uzi Aharon said missionaries recently entered a
neighborhood in the predominantly religious town of 34,000 in central
Israel, distributing hundreds of New Testaments and missionary material.
After receiving complaints, Aharon said, he got into a loudspeaker car last
Thursday and drove through the neighborhood, urging people to turn over the
material to Jewish religious students who went door to door to collect it.
"The books were dumped into a pile and set afire in a lot near a synagogue,"
he said.

The newspaper *Maariv* reported Tuesday that hundreds of yeshiva students
took part in the book-burning. But Aharon told The Associated Press that
only a few students were present, and that he was not there when the books
were torched.
"Not all of the New Testaments that were collected were burned, but hundreds
were," he said. He said he regretted the burning of the books, but called it
a commandment to burn materials that urge Jews to convert.
"I certainly don't denounce the burning of the booklets, he said. I denounce
those who distributed the booklets."

Jews worship from the Old Testament, including the Five Books of Moses and
the writings of the ancient prophets. Christians revere the Old Testament as
well as the New Testament, which contains the ministry of Jesus.

Calev Myers, an attorney who represents Messianic Jews, or Jews who accept
Jesus as their savior, demanded in an interview with Army Radio that all
those involved be put on trial. He estimated there were 10,000 Messianic
Jews, who are also known as Jews for Jesus, in Israel.

Police had no immediate comment.

Israeli authorities and Orthodox Jews frown on missionary activity aimed at
Jews, though in most cases it is not illegal. Still, the concept of a Jew
burning books is abhorrent to many in Israel because of the association with
Nazis torching piles of Jewish books during the Holocaust of World War II.

Earlier this year, the teenage son of a prominent Christian missionary
was *seriously
wounded* when a package
bomb delivered to the family's West Bank home went off in his hands.

Last year, arsonists burst into a Jerusalem church used by Messianic Jews
and set the building on fire, raising suspicions that Jewish extremists were
behind the attack. No one claimed responsibility, but the same church was
burned down 25 years ago by ultra-Orthodox Jewish extremists.

Bismillah [IslamCity] The Young Hafiz

The Young Hafiz

There was a young man, who got to know about a precious stone. He
decided not to come back to his house till he finds the stone. So he left his
house with a little provision. He sat down to sketch a map on a notebook. He
had a very long route to cover

But he stuck to his ambition and had very high hopes.

He believed that if he found the stone he would not have to work anymore and
would become the wealthiest person.

All his worries and problems would be finished. Everyone would respect him.
Ultimate ly he would become a successful man.

He traveled through many countries, cities, towns, jungles,
and mountains in search of the stone for forty years.

At last while he was passing by an ancient mine he found the stone underneath a
heavy rock but by then he had become very old and frail looking person.

Holding the stone tightly in his fist, he started jumping with great joy and
happiness. Suddenly he saw a young boy sitting by the stream, reciting the
Quraan-e-Kareem in a beautiful tone.

The boy's penetrating words of the Quraan-e-Hakeem struck the man's heart. It
seemed that trees, birds, water all were listening to his Quraan.

He thought to himself that he had become too old and weak, so why not give the
stone this young man.

The man came up to the boy and said, young man, may I have your attention
please. I have traveled through many countries, Cities, towns, jungles and
mountains in search of this precious stone for forty long ho years. Now I have
found it, but I have become very weak and old. I want you to have it because
you seem to be pious and have long life ahead of you."

"What would I do with it?" The boy asked suspiciously.

"Oh..., you would be the most successful, happiest and wealthiest person in the
world.. laughed the man as he stretched out his hands.

"But I have found the Creator of t his stone as well as all the stones of the
entire universe," said the boy confidently.

"Allah Ta'ala has all the treasures of success, happiness, peace, respect and
sustenance. Allah Ta'ala has got power over every thing." smiled the young boy
as he raised his index finger to the sky, as the little boy continued, "If you
had given even a little time toyour Creator. Everything would have become
yours."
The man broke into tears and the boy's words sank into his heart. He
repented and threw the stone and served rest of his life to become the friend
of Allah Ta'ala.
  Lesson:
Look, children..! Even the young ones can become the means of guidance for
the Elders if they are on the right path.

If the stone had impressed the boy, do you think that the old man would have
got guidance (Hidayat)?

Bismillah [IslamCity] israel: We're not celebrating Israel's anniversary

2008-05-22 Thread Shahid.
We're not celebrating Israel's anniversary

* The Guardian,
* Wednesday April 30 2008
* Article history

This article appeared in the Guardian on Wednesday April 30 2008 on p33 of the
Leaders & reply section. It was last updated at 12:44 on April 30 2008.

In May, Jewish organisations will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the
founding of the state of Israel. This is understandable in the context of
centuries of persecution culminating in the Holocaust. Nevertheless, we are
Jews who will not be celebrating. Surely it is now time to acknowledge the
narrative of the other, the price paid by another people for European
anti-semitism and Hitler's genocidal policies. As Edward Said emphasised, what
the Holocaust is to the Jews, the Naqba is to the Palestinians.

In April 1948, the same month as the infamous massacre at Deir Yassin and the
mortar attack on Palestinian civilians in Haifa's market square, Plan Dalet was
put into operation. This authorised the destruction of Palestinian villages and
the expulsion of the indigenous population outside the borders of the state. We
will not be celebrating.

In July 1948, 70,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes in Lydda and
Ramleh in the heat of the summer with no food or water. Hundreds died. It was
known as the Death March. We will not be celebrating.

In all, 750,000 Palestinians became refugees. Some 400 villages were wiped off
the map. That did not end the ethnic cleansing. Thousands of Palestinians
(Israeli citizens) were expelled from the Galilee in 1956. Many thousands more
when Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza. Under international law and
sanctioned by UN resolution 194, refugees from war have a right to return or
compensation. Israel has never accepted that right. We will not be celebrating.

We cannot celebrate the birthday of a state founded on terrorism, massacres and
the dispossession of another people from their land. We cannot celebrate the
birthday of a state that even now engages in ethnic cleansing, that violates
international law, that is inflicting a monstrous collective punishment on the
civilian population of Gaza and that continues to deny to Palestinians their
human rights and national aspirations.

I would like to add a small correction to Arif's statement. In
Buddhism there is no mention of God since Gautam Buddha felt that
human beings did not understand the concept of man he refused to
answer any questions regarding God. As far as Hinduism is concerned
they have many Gods and they refer to them as Bhagwan. They believe
that Gods that they have are the manifestation of the same one God
who they something like Paramatma.
Since the civilization of India is much older than Arabic something
like 1 years old and they have a different base of language like
Pali, Ardhamagadhi, Sanskrit etc. it is not likely they would call
their God as Allah. The same is true of Chinese they have their own
spiritual discoveries like Dao or Tao, Shinto, Confuscism.
Even their culture is quite developed and very interesting.

It would be very interesting to know what the ancient Red Indian
Americans called. Recent historical findings suggest that the
original Americans had a very astaounding culture before the
Europeans in their imperialistic approach destroyed them.

Love to all,

Rashid.

Bismillah [IslamCity] The Kabah: Its Size and History

2008-05-22 Thread muslimah muslimah
The Kabah: Its Size and History The small, cubed building known as the Kabah
may not rival skyscrapers in height or mansions in width, but its impact on
history and human beings is unmatched. The Kabah is the building towards which
Muslims face five times a day, everyday, in prayer. This has been the case
since the time of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) over 1400
years ago.
  The Size of the Kabah:
The current height of the Kabah is 39 feet, 6 inches and total size comes to
627 square feet.
The inside room of the Kabah is 13x9 meters. The Kabah's walls are one meter
wide. The floor inside is 2.2 meters higher than the place where people perform
Tawaf.
The ceiling and roof are two levels made out of wood. They were reconstructed
with teak which is capped with stainless steel. The walls are all made of
stone. The stones inside are unpolished, while the ones outside are polished.
This small building has been constructed and reconstructed by Prophets Adam,
Ibrahim, Ismail and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). No other building has
had this honor. Yet, not very much is known about the details of this small but
significant building.
The Other Names of the Kabah
Literally, Kabah in Arabic means a high place with respect and prestige. The
word Kabah may also be derivative of a word meaning a cube. Some of these other
names include:
1. Bait ul Ateeq - which means, according to one meaning, the earliest and
ancient. According to the second meaning, it means independent and liberating.
Both meanings could be taken.
2. Bait ul Haram - the honorable house.
Scholars and historians say that the Kabah has been reconstructed between 5
to 12 times. The very first construction of the Kabah was done by Prophet Adam
(peace be upon him). Allah says in the Quran that this was the first house that
was built for humanity to worship Allah. After this, Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail
(peace be upon them) rebuilt the Kabah.
The measurements of the Kabah's foundation by Ibrahim are as follows:

The eastern wall was 48 feet and 6 inches
The Hateem side wall was 33 feet
The side between the black stone and the Yemeni corner was 30 feet
The Western side was 46.5 feet

Following this, there were several constructions before the Prophet Muhammad's
(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) time.
  Reconstruction of Kabah by Quraish
Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) participated in one of its
reconstructions before he became a Prophet. After a flash flood, the Kabah was
damaged and its walls cracked. It needed rebuilding. This responsibility was
divided among the Quraish's four tribes. Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi
wassallam) helped with this reconstruction.
Once the walls were erected, it was time to place the Black Stone, (the Hajar
ul Aswad) on the eastern wall of the Kabah. Arguments erupted about who would
have the honor of putting the Black Stone in its place. A fight was about to
break out over the issue, when Abu Umayyah, Makkah's oldest man, proposed that
the first man to enter the gate of the mosque the following morning would
decide the matter. That man was the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam). The
Makkans were ecstatic. "This is the trustworthy one (Al-Ameen)" they shouted in
a chorus. "This is Muhammad." He came to them and they asked him to decide on
the matter. He agreed.
Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) proposed a solution that all
agreed to - putting the Black Stone on a cloak, the elders of each of the clans
held on to one edge of the cloak and carried the stone to its place. The
Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) then picked up the stone and placed it
on the wall of the Kabah.
Since the tribe of Quraish did not have sufficient funds, this reconstruction
did not include the entire foundation of the Kabah as built by Prophet Ibrahim.
This is the first time the Kabah acquired the cubical shape it has now, unlike
the rectangle shape which it had earlier. The portion of the Kabah left out is
called Hateem now.

“The favours: health of the body, the hearing, and the sight. Allah will ask
the slaves on what did they use them in? And indeed He is most Knowledgeable of
that than them.

And this (meaning) is the statement of Allah:

“ Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those you
will be questioned (by Allah).” (al-Isra 17/36) (Narrated by at-Tabari: 30/289,

6- Sa'ed’ Ibn Jubayr (ra) said:

‘(You will be questioned) Regarding health and time and wealth.’

7- Muhammad ibn K’ab (ra) said:

‘It means (you will be questioned) on the favours which your were blessed
with through RasulAllah (saw).’

  8- Abu ‘Aaliyah (ra) said:

‘(You will be questioned) Regarding Islam and your life span.’

9- Al-Hasan ibn Fadhl (ra) said:

‘(you will be questioned) on the easiness of the Shariah, and the easiness of
The Qur’an.’ (meaning: did you take advantage and be thankful in worshipping
Allah.)
Ibn Jarir at-Tabari (ra) in his tafsir narrated the following:

10- ‘Then Allah (awj) will ask you regarding the favours which you had in the
world:

In What did you use them?

And where did they take you?

And with what did you earn by them?

And what did you do with them?’

11- From Abi ‘Aasim who said: Sufyan (at-Thawri) (ra) said:

‘It reached us that the meaning of His statement:

“Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the favours.”

It is: Security (peace) and health.”

12- And from Isma’il ibn Iyaash, from Abdulaziz ibn Abdullaah, who said that
he heard As-Sha’bi (ra) say:

“The Favours that will be asked on - on the Day of Judgment- are: Security
(peace) and health.”

Shawkani in Fath ul qadir related the following:

13- ‘It means (you will be questioned) on the favours of the world; which
busied you from doing the righteous actions.’

14- al-Bayhaqi narrates a narration from Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra) who said:

  ‘The favours: it’s the well-being .’

15- Ibn al-Mardawiyyah narrates from Abu Dardaa (ra) who said that RasulAllah
(saw) said concerning this verse:

“Eating of the bread made of wheat (The bread made of wheat was considered as
a ‘luxury’ food!), and sleep in the nice shadows, and drinking of the nice
sweet cool water.”
Raising this as a statement of RasulAllah (saw) is not correct. So maybe it
is from the statement of Abu Dardaa (ra).

16- It is narrated by Ibn Humaid, and Ibn Mundhir, and Ibn Abi Haatim, Ibn
Mardawiyyah; from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra), that he was asked the meaning of His
statement:

“Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the favours.”

  He (‘Ali) (ra) said:

‘Eating of the bread made of wheat, and drinking of the nice sweet cool
water, and the house he used to live in; These are the favours that a person
will be questioned on.’ (Suyuti: Durr Al-Manthur)

correcting the teacher like this. So one day, I asked him what is the
difference between Catholicism and Islam. He said that there was not that
much. Well I was not satisfied with this answer so I asked his mom if I could
have a copy of the Quran in English. She gave me one and when I started to
read it, I couldn't put it down. I just keep reading it and I knew
it was from Allah. You just know there is NO way a man could write this. And
me being a person who appreciates poetry, I loved it very much I found it to be
amazing. So I became Muslimah in my heart.
And then all the hardships started. I started praying and fasting, etc. My
parents, especially my mom, started giving me a VERY hard time. Me being so
young, I imagined they would love Islam the same way I did, but for them it was
completely different. They would take away my hijab, my prayer rug, my Quran,
and materials about Islam. My dad would search my room everyday, and I would
hide my hijab in the closet. My mom started trying to forbid me from being
friends with Muslims, and she would call my friend's parents and tell them stop
telling my daughter about Islam, and that they are confusing her.
My parents made me go to church, and I would just sit there thinking these
people are SO lost, and this priest how he lies to the people and reads from
the bible only what he wants them to hear, and then manipulates the meaning.
One day my mom set up a conference with me and one of the priests. I would say
I love Islam and why would you think something so beautiful is so bad? He
would tell me this and that and say some quotes from the bible. He even told
me that my dream (I had a dream I was going to a Muslim country and to the
desert wearing hijab) he said this was from Satan, I seek refuge in God. This
man looked like he had Satan in him when he said this! I will never forget the
look on his face. I asked Allah to forgive me.
My mom would cook pork for me on purpose and say it was beef, but I checked
the wrapper and it said pork. And my dad, who's parents are Polish/Slovak
ancestors would tell me in this house you are either catholic or you leave. I
even had to hide my Quran in the air conditioning vent so they wouldn't get it,
because they would throw it in the garbage. They even took the lock off my
door, so praying was VERY hard. They would make fun of me praying. I learned
the prayers in Arabic my self with a small prayer book. I can't explain how
much it would hurt me that my parents were this way towards me and Islam.
I started telling my younger sister than me about Islam. My parents told me
if I didn't stop I had to leave. I stopped, but I told my sister many things
and now she questions why Catholics can't just pray to God and why confession
and many other things. I said a prayer that when I was older, I would practice
Islam totally. I stopped praying for a while, may God forgive me. I had no
one to support me or give me guidance except my friends parents who said listen
to your parents. My Muslim friends didn't understand what I was going through,
and they weren't mature or knowledgeable enough to teach me and answer the many
questions I had.
One day (when I was 20) while I was in university I called up the lady who
had given me the Quran because I heard there was a mosque just built nearby.
Before then the closest mosque was 45min-1hr. away. She said they were having
a dinner. So I went, and when I heard the call to prayer, I was so happy and
cried. I repeated the Shahada public during Ramadan, and I made a commitment
to be steadfast and not care what my parents or anyone else said or did. I
felt I could relate at this point to Yunus, may God praise him who was in the
belly of the whale. I was/am determined. So I stopped bad habits and left bad
company. And surrounded myself with Muslims.
I started wearing hijab and my parents would say you are not going outside
like that. But either I did anyway or wouldn't go. Sometimes I would put on
my hijab in my car so they wouldn't see me because my mom would always says
Islam says to obey your parents, so you must listen to us. She said you will
not wear that thing on your head and you will wear s

Bismillah [IslamCity] Washington's Pathological Liar

2008-05-22 Thread Khalid Amayreh
Washington's Pathological Liar
By Khalid Amayreh . May 20th, 2008
George W. Bush is well known for his low intellectuality and clarion ignorance
of the world. To mask these serious flaws and shortcomings, he routinely adopts
a discourse based on mendacity and dishonesty.

And while it is premature to pass a final judgment on the man, it is probably
safe to conclude by now that he has already brought an irremediable disaster
upon the United States and the rest of the world.

A few years ago, the ruthless ignoramus of the White House invaded, occupied
and destroyed two sovereign countries, and killed or caused the death of over a
million innocent people, all under the flimsy pretexts of fighting terror.

Bush even had the temerity to claim that "God told me to do it."

Last week, human decency was once again affronted by Bush's diatribe at the
Israeli parliament, the Knesset. There he bestowed all the epithets of glory
upon a state that practices mass murder, ethnic cleansing and land theft, a
state whose very existence was, is and will always be a colossal crime against
humanity.

While contemptuously ignoring the Palestinian Nakba, the catastrophe of an
innocent people that had to be cruelly uprooted from its ancestral homeland in
order to compensate Ashkenazi Jews for the holocaust, George Bush heaped lavish
praise on Israel, a state run by an essentially criminal elite of warmongers
and war criminals ever since its violent birth sixty years ago.

Bush began his ranting by pointing out how the "Jewish people endured the agony
of the pogroms, the tragedy of the Great War, and the horrors of the
Holocaust," as if Jewish victimhood, however genuine it may be, gave Zionism
the right to commit genocide and ethnic cleaning against another people.

Bush quoted what Elie Wiesel called "the Kingdom of the night" where "soulless
men took away lives and broke apart families, adding, "yet they couldn't take
away the spirit of the Jewish people, and they could not break the promise of
God."

But he utterly ignored Zionism's own kingdom of darkness, where callous-hearted
criminals, bearing Jewish names but having Nazi hearts and minds, took away
lives and have broken families, who notwithstanding their evils, wouldn't be
able to take away the spirit of the Palestinian people, nor break the promise
of God.

Wiesel, the sanctimonious American Zionist paragon of hypocrisy and moral
duplicity has little moral authority to lecture the world on the evils of
Nazism. A man who says and boasts openly that he identifies himself with
Israeli crimes and that he couldn't bring himself to criticize Israel
irrespective of her murderous actions, is obviously unqualified for any moral
exemplification.

Bush spoke of Israel's "thriving democracy," but evaded the fact that apartheid
and democracy can't coexist.

Could it be that the President of the United States, the erstwhile mother of
all democracies, didn't know that murdering innocent human beings knowingly and
deliberately, demolishing people's homes, stealing their land and confining
thousands of doctors, teachers, college professors and other professionals to
detention camps, without charge or trial, were unlawful acts that contravened
the most basic ideals of true democracy?

Bush enthusiastically hailed Israel for "welcoming immigrants from the four
corners of Earth," but overlooked the fact that for each and every immigrant
Israel welcomed into Palestine, a native Palestinian Christian or Muslim was
either murdered, dispossessed of his property or deported to the four corners
of Earth.

George Bush is indeed a shameful and irredeemable liar. He had the audacity to
claim that America's enduring embrace of Israel's enduring criminality had
nothing to do with the violence, tension and instability in the Middle East.

"Some people," he said, "suggest that if the United States would just break
ties with Israel, all our problems in the Middle East would go away.

"This is a tired argument that buys into the propaganda of our enemies, and
America rejects it utterly. Israel's population may be just over 7 million, but
when you confront terror and evil, you are 307 million strong, because America
stands with you."

Well, no one has ever demanded that the US break ties with Israel, although
this would in no way be an unconscionable demand, given Israel's Nazi-like
character.

What much of the world is demanding is that the US stop supporting the Israeli
policies of colonialism, ethnic cleansing and genocide against a people whose
only "crime" is its survival and longing for freedom from occupation and
apartheid.

Bush, having evoked the mantras of the "chosen people" and "Massada shall not
fall again," even lashed out at the UN for criticizing Israel, but was utterly
oblivious of the horrendous crimes and grave human rights violations that
Israel has committed throughout its dark history, which prom

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (PBUH)
said, "He who visits a sick person who is not on the point of death and
supplicates seven times: As'alullahal-`Azima Rabbal-`Arshil-`Azimi, an
yashfiyaka (I beseech Allah the Great, the Rubb of the Great Throne, to heal
you), Allah will certainly heal him from that sickness.''

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: There is always a great certainty that Allah will respond to a
supplication which springs from a sincere, veracious heart. One should,
therefore, pray for a patient with full conviction and reassurance of heart.
Moreover, the Prophet's prayers have special effect and grace and therefore
their original wordings should be uttered.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Re: New article on The Toronto 18 and The War on Terror

2008-05-22 Thread Nashid Abdul-Khaaliq
Dr. Naseer you wrote,
“The entire case is now falling apart, not just because the unreliability of
the government's star witnesses has now been exposed in the national media as
druggies, failed businessmen demanding $15 million (!) for their 'testimony'
and publicity hounds. I blame also the politicians who were so quick to declare
them and an entire religion guilty and 'community' leaders who abandoned the
families of the Toronto 18 because of fear of association with what is now OK
to demonize: angry young Muslim males. Above all, I say that an unjust,
corrupted, system of justice reflects badly on Canada, and what Canadian
'values' are supposed to be about. And I say, this "War on Terror" is a lie.”
We have seen this same theme played over and over again in the US, UK,
Australia and other places. Loud noises being made over false Muslim
arrests, imprisonment and even tortur, while when the Muslims are found
innocent it is barely mentioned.
“Individual terrorism, directed at civilians, is wrong. But when it is
instigated by intelligence agencies I think we need to look at the
inconsistencies. The RCMP has a long history of using informants to infiltrate
communists, 'white nationalists' and now Muslims, then having their own
informants commit crimes to discredit the larger group. In the 70's RCMP
informants set off bombs in post boxes around Quebec to discredit the Quebec
separatist movement. That a few immature hot heads can be trusted to make hot
headed comments is always a given, but the fact that the various terrors of the
21st century were all conducted by various intelligence agencies are also, a
given. One of the ways of proving that would be to look at the explosives used
to commit those crimes. Sorry, the World Trade Towers were brought down by
explosives. The official story is an impossible lie. The Tube bombings in
London were conducted with military, not home-made explosives
which simply could not have had the power required to do the damage they did.
The chief 'planner' of that, Haroon Aswat, turned out to be an MI-6 asset. The
Bali, Madrid and even Tel Aviv bombings all had similar inconsistencies.”
Yes Dr. Naseer, there are many, many setups that fit the modus operandi that
you described above and the WTC 1993 foiled bombing plot is a classic example
of this.
To be complete I took the liberty to add in red one sentence to your paragraph
below
"The "War on Terror" is a lie. The war against Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and the
Muslim world is a lie. It serves the arms manufacturers and the rulers of the
world. It serves the oil companies whose profits and values of their reserves
go up. It helps the money lenders and promoters of war. It serves to transfer
your money out of your pockets and into the hands of a few and fosters Jewish
Zionists hegemony over the world serving their goals and purposes."

"Strive as in a race to achieve the
goal of excellence in all that you do."
