German Lady Need help - Your Prayer

Two week ago, Sister Maria from Germany emailed me, and told me that she is now Muslima.

Alhamd Le Allah.

Today I received email from her that her son Christopher is
very sick and he is in the hospital.

Would you, please, make Duaa ( sublication-prayer) for her
to have strong faith in Allah, and for her son to recover soon from his
sickness Allah willing (In Shaa Allah). May Allah (SWT) bless
and support sister Maria and her family, and make it easy on
them. Amen

Sister Maria asked me for this request of  strong
prayer from Muslim brothers and sister, so I am sending this message to every
Muslim I know.

Jazak Allah Khairan, and may Allah bless you.

any Muslim, to understand it and believe in it.  If you die with the right
aqeedah Allah may punish you for the sins that you have committed or he may

  MP
in asylum row to move to US
  From correspondents in Amsterdam
  Reuters
  May 16, 2006
  http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,19151953-23109,00.html

AYAAN Hirsi Ali, a Somali-born Dutch politician known for her
outspoken criticism of Islam, will leave parliament and move to the US
after admitting she lied to win asylum in the Netherlands.
Ms Hirsi Ali, 36, sought asylum in the Netherlands in 1992, claiming
to be escaping from an arranged marriage. She gained Dutch citizenship
in 1997 and was elected to parliament in 2003.

A storm erupted about her asylum application last week after a Dutch
television documentary interviewed members of her family about her
background. They said she had not been forced into an arranged
marriage and had had nothing to fear.

Asked whether she had falsified her asylum application, Ms Hirsi Ali
told the program she lied about her name, age and how she came to the
Netherlands.

The program prompted calls for her to leave parliament and even be
  stripped of citizenship.

The MP came to international prominence in 2004 when an Islamic
militant killed filmmaker Theo van Gogh after he directed a film she
wrote accusing Islam of suppressing women.

Ms Hirsi Ali's office declined to comment on reports in the Dutch
media today that she was leaving, but said she planned to address a
  news conference tomorrow.

"I think it is a painful loss both for Dutch society and for politics
that Ayaan leaves parliament," said Jozias van Aartsen, a former
parliamentary leader of the VVD liberals, which is Ms Hirsi Ali's
party and part of the centre-right government.

"I think it says something about the state of the country: overly
sensitive and provincial," Mr Van Aartsen told Dutch radio.

The Volkskrant newspaper said Ms Hirsi Ali would start working for the
conservative American Enterprise Institute in September after reaching
a deal with US authorities about her security.

The paper said Ms Hirsi Ali had also been in negotiations with two
other institutes, the Johns Hopkins University and the Brookings
  Institution, over the past months.

Dutch Radio 1 said the move had been planned for some time, but was
brought forward because Ms Hirsi Ali has to leave her heavily-guarded
home in August after a court ruled she must move because neighbours
had complained of the security risk.

Ms Hirsi Ali went into hiding after Van Gogh's killing due to death
threats and only returned to parliament months later.

Immigration Minister Rita Verdonk, vying to be the VVD's lead
candidate in the 2007 general election, said on Sunday she would
launch an investigation into Ms Hirsi Ali's citizenship.

Ms Hirsi Ali, whose real name is Hirsi Magan, pretended she had come
to the Netherlands from Somalia, rather than via Kenya and Germany.
Refugees are usually required to apply for asylum in the first safe
  country they reach after fleeing.

Immigration has been a hot topic since 2002 when populist Pim Fortuyn
said the country could not absorb more foreigners. He was killed by an
animal rights activist later that year but mainstream politicians have
  since taken up his ideas.

Mubarak Ramadan,

During menses and delivery women are not allowed to pray or to fast but they
have to make up for the fasting but not the prayer (salah) as per the Rasool
Allah SAAWS. Islam is quran and sunnah.

AAWRWB,

Shafi's in his Risala described fasting during menses as permissable.
It's an easy reference to check.

RE: [IslamCity] Re: Rajm(Stoning) for Adultery in the Shariah and the (Hypo)Critics/Crites

Islam is simply the Holy Quran and what the prophet Mohammed SAAWS said or
did.
So what did the prophet SAAWS do to those who committed adultery man and
woman and who were married? Find the answer if you are following the Quran
and Sunnah.

I agree 100% with the answering article. Stoning is NOT found
anywhere in the Quran.

The punishment for adultery found in the Quran is 100 lashes for BOTH
adulterers and "house arrest" for the married woman.

As for the justice example:

Now we know Allah is just and He is merciful, and expects us

> It should be clear that NOWHERE in the Qur'an is killing her made
legal.

God also states to make the punishment suit the crime. Therefore,
death is not a suitable punishment for the salesman either, as he has
taken no ones life. As he has taken sex that did not legally belong
to him he should loose his ability to have sex. Castration is a simple
20 minute procedure that will permanently end his mischief making, yet
still allow him to work, to take care of his parents and any wife and
children he might have. and become a useful member of society.

This day and age we have medications that will also prevent his
mischief making. First time offenders could be given this medication
for say a year as punishment. After the medication is stopped he will
in time regain his virility. Any second offence after this could
result in the permanent solution.

Subject: [IslamCity] PRACTICES ON THE DAY OF JUMU'AH

  PRACTICES
  ON THE DAY OF JUMU'AH
  THE FOLLOWING MA'MOOLAAT (PRACTICES) WERE
MENTIONED BY SHAFIIQUL UMMAH, HADHRAT MOULANA MUHAMMAD FAAROUQ SAHEB, IN A
LECTURE DELIVERED AT THE GLENEARN ROAD MASJID, DURBAN ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10
  1996 AFTER ESHA SALAAT

Jumu'ah is from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday ===
These Ma'moolaat should be observed during this period.
  (1)
On Thursday night recite any Surah
beginning with a "S'een" (Kanzul Ummaal). The Shortest of such
  Surahs is Suratul A'ala (Qur'an 87)
By reading this, ones previous sins are forgiven.
  (2)
  Recite
Surah Kahf (Qur'an 15:16) before or after the Jumu'ah Salaat.
It is states in the Hadith the a connection of Noor
(which  lasts till the following Friday) is established between the
heart of the one who reads this Surah and the Ka'bah Shareef in Makkah
Mukarramah. Another Hadith states that this connection is established from
the heart of the reciter to the Arsh (Throne) of Allah, until the next
  Friday.
  (3)
Go to the Masjid early for the Jumu'ah
Salaat. Try to be in the Masjid before the first Adhaan is called, or at
least upon the commencement of the Adhaan.
The benefit of this practice is that for the following
week all your affairs will be accomplished quickly and easily. Coming in the
Masjid late for Jumu'ah Salaat delays worldly matters during the coming week.
  (Targhib)
  (4)
Upon entering the Masjid offer two
  Rakaats Tahiyyatul Masjid. (Targhib)
  (5)
  Perform the
Salaatut-Tasbeeh before or after the Friday Salaat. (Kabeeri)
  (6)
Make Du'a a few moments before sunset on
Friday. This time is indeed sacred and extremely efficacious in the
  acceptance of Du'a.
  Hadhrat
Faatima (Radhiallaahu Anha) had instructed her maid to remind her of these
moments on Friday. She would then engage in Du'a and would recite the
following Du'a repeatedly, without stopping her household work. (Tahtaawi)

  (7)
After Asr Salaat on Friday, remain
seated on your place and recite the following Durood Shareef Eighty (80)
  times.

The reward for this is equal to eighty (80) years of
worship, and forgiveness for eighty (80) years of sins. (Fazaail-e-Durood)
   (8)
Recite Durood Shareef One Thousand times
  on Friday.
Imaam Jalaaluddin Suyyuti (Rahmatullaahi Alayhi) narrates
that one who recites a thousand Durood on Friday will not die until he is
shown his place in Jannat (in a dream). (Targhib)
The shortest and simplest form of Durood is:

  (9)
== THE FOLLOWING ARE THE ADVICE OF HADHRAT MOULANA ASHRAF ALI

  ·
Recite Aayatul Kursi seventy (70) times
  ·
  Recite seventy (70) times:

  ·
  Recite seventy (70) times:

Through the blessing of this Du'a, Allah Ta'ala makes the
Rizq (sustenance) and other worldly affairs of the reciter easy for the
  entire week ahead.

You have made it so clear that no one
can be misguided.  Nowadays you never know who you trust, but truth has
its roots and lies too.

May Allah show us the right path and
guide all Muslims through it.

Hussain's request for donation viz brother's kidney transplant.

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu

Dear
Sister Nargis,

I
pray you and your family are well by the leave of Allaah
Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala.

I have
been following your correspondence from June 04 to July 26, 2005
requesting  financial donations for
your brother, Akhtar Hasan's kidney transplant. I have received request
for advice from several brothers and sisters who wished to help your
brother but are afraid that it might be a scam. I have also read the email
exchanges you had with our brothers and sisters who came forward and offered
different ways to help you - e.g. sister Naseerah and brothers
Yalman, Sufi Ali, and Noor Gillani. Brother Noor offered you one of the
best suggestions and even offered to personally help you put the mechanism together
via PYAR to realise the funds needed for your brother's transplant.  I am aware from all your correspondence that you want all
donated funds to go directly  into your brothers personal bank account. If Akhtar's transplant is so urgent, why didn't you let Brother
Noor guide you, for your brother's sake?

I am
writing to you because I read this
statement you transmitted today: "... yet I
see even after knowing our dire need, no one has come forward" (your full text is attached at the end of this page)

Sister
Nargis, you know very well that this public statement of
yours is not truthful! In most of your correspondence you
emphasised over and over again that you are a "momineen." A believer does not tell a lie nor does (s)he bear false testimony
against Muslims. All the people I mentioned above came forward immediately to
help/advice you so how can you write such a statement ? (their emails are
attached below)

One of our
brothers in Islam, Nagib,  expressed that he would like to
help your brother: "I would also like
to help but how do you ensure that request of this kind received through
anonymous hotmail or yahoo accounts are legitimate and not scam?"  And Sister Naseerah wrote: "Sister Karima, . please could you advise me on what you think is
the best course of action for me to take on this matter? I'd like to help but
don't really know how." These are valid
and important questions - I am sure many of our brothers and sisters
caught in such a dilemma, ponder the same - afraid to
be tricked by scamsters.  All of us are eager to
help our fellow Muslims, fee sabeelillaah and lihubbillaah, especially
those who are critically ill, because we are mindful of what
Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala tells us (interpretation of the
meaning):

"The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion)…”  (al-Hujuraat 49:10)

And He Ta'aala describes
them (interpretation of the meaning):“… severe against disbelievers, and merciful among
themselves…”
(al-Fath 48:29)

Also what our
Prophet, Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam said: "The relationship of the believer towards the
people of faith is like that of the head to the body. The believer feels the
pain of the people of faith just as the body feels the pain of the head." (Narrated by Imaam Ahmad).

But all of us are also mindful that whatever
we give belongs to Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala. Therefore, we
have to make sure that it is spent correctly for His Ta'aala's Pleasure - on
a good (genuine) and just cause otherwise we will be held accountable
for irresponsible, unverified and careless use of His Ta'aala's amaanat.

So how can
we ensure that the monetary request we received from you is genuine and not a
scam? To assure us that your brother's plight is real, I have listed some
suggestions for your consideration:

Sister
Nargis, before any funds can be remitted to support
your brother's kidney transplant,  we must do due
diligence by asking for verifiable proof to the fact from you. Could
you please prepare and send the following within ten (10) days. I am sure
you will have no problem providing them:

Sister is right and the biggest enemy amongst
us Muslims is ignorance.

Quran starts with knowledge before performing
"see surat 47 Mohammed ayah 19." the theme of the ayeh is know or knowledge
first.

We should not tell others what to do or
say if we do not know.

This is the religion of almighty SWT we
are not telling stories so if we make a mistake it is permissible.  When it
comes to religion if we say something and it is wrong we are in trouble.

Many scholars refrained from answering people’s questions afraid
that they will make slight mistakes.

Make Da'wa To New Muslim Sisters?

Who Should Make Da'wa To New Muslim Sisters?

By Sahar Kassaimah

There
is no doubt that Muslim women play a vital role in the propagation and
spreading of the proper understanding of Islam, through da'wa, (invitation). Da'wa amongst women began in the first
days of Islam, with Khadijah, (RA) the Prophet's wife (SAW), who used her
resources to help spread the message of Islam. Sumayyah (RA), the first martyr
in Islam, also provides an honorable example of a woman dedicated to furthering
the religion.

But how many Muslim women have the proper understanding or even accurate
general knowledge of their religion? How many Muslim women possess the
capabilities needed to offer da'wa?

Stories I heard from my American Muslim friends both amused and distressed me
as I learned how they suffered at the beginning of their journey to Islam, because their Muslim - born female friends did not have the proper capabilities to offer da'wa.

"I was myself ignorant about Islam and then discovered how ignorant they
were," said my American Muslim friend. "I was confused and depressed
to the point that I cried every night."

"One sister told me that I should say, "La Ilaha Ila Allah, Muhammad Rassoul Allah" (there is
no God except Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger) a hundred times every night
before sleeping. Another one gave me du'aa
(invocations) and told me to read them ten times a night," said another
American Muslim friend.

"It was hard for me in my first days of Islam to learn the basics of my new
religion and to recite the Qur'an in my prayers. I couldn't imagine how I would
be able to make an extra hundred du'aa
a day?"

A third woman told me that a Arab woman told her that every time she has
intercourse with her husband, she must wash the sheets seven times. Once, her
husband saw her going back and forth to the laundry room more than ten times
and became confused as to what she was doing.

"He asked me what I was doing," said my American friend. "When I
told him that I had to wash the sheets seven times, he was astonished and he
explained to me that this was not true."

"I was really confused. One sister was telling me that I should put my
hands over my stomach, as another told me that this was wrong, and that I
should pray with my hands down at my sides," she said.

"A Pakistani sister told me it is forbidden in Islam to sweep at night,
and that if I wanted to go to heaven I should never hold the broom at
night," said another American friend. "I was really scared of brooms
after that, especially at night."

Newly Muslim women face such misguidance from the Muslim - born women because
of the issue of pluralism. Some Muslim sisters do not understand that the
pluralism of opinions in the subsidiaries (far'eyat)
is not intended to constrain people but to provide different paths. Hence, they
ask the new Muslim sisters to follow them, believing that all of the opinions
are obligatory.

"In the end, you find yourself confused due to the many opinions of women
who do not know the difference between the obligatory (fard), the Sunnah (the practices of the Prophet), and the recommended (mustahab)."

I do not know whether all of the Muslim women converting to Islam face these kinds of problems, but I am sure that the single ones are more vulnerable to
these experiences than the married ones, who have a Muslim husband to correct
them.

One major reason behind this problem is that some Muslim women do not have the
capability to offer da'wa to
others because their own level of general Islamic knowledge is lacking. An
additional reason is the confusion of Islamic priorities among some Muslim
women. Unfortunately, they do not know the difference between the religion and
their traditions, and believe that all Muslims should follow the same mazhab (school of thought).

It is difficult for new Muslims, who often have little information about Islam, to realize whether or not their guides are truly versed in the teachings of the religion.
This makes for a precarious situation when they are seeking the accurate
information nee

[IslamCity] Authentic Dua ' of the Prophet At Sleeping Times

2005-06-26 Thread Zahrani, Abdul Qader H

Authentic Dua
of the Prophet  At Sleeping Times

If the Messenger of Allah wanted to sleep he
would say Bi'ismika 'allãhumma 'amootu wa
'ahyã(43)

and when he
awakened from his sleep he used to say: Al-hamdu
lil-lãhi 'allathee 'ahyãnã ba`da ma 'amãtanã, wa 'ilayhin-nushooru(44)

  Upon going to
his bed each night, the Messenger of Allah would bring his palms together.
Then he would spittle(45) in them, then he would recite into them Qul huwal 'allãhu 'ahad, Qul 'a`outhu birabbil
  falaqi, and Qul 'a`outhu
  birabbin-nãsi(46)

then he would wipe with them whatever he is able to of his body, he
would begin with his head and face, and the foreside of his body. He would do
  this three times".

  Footnotes
  (45) Spittle is being used for the Arabic
word nafth. Nafth is to put the tip of your tongue between your lips and to
blow lightly as you pull your tongue back which in this case causes a misty
  spray onto your hands.
  (46) Meaning the last three suwar of the
  Qur'an.

  It is
reported by way of Abi Hurayrata , that someone used
to come upon him and take from the charity - which the Prophet had made
him guardian over - night after night, so on the third night, he said: I will
report you to the Messenger of Allah , the man said: Let
me teach you some phrases with which Allah will cause you benefit - they were
very eager for good - so he said: When you go to bed, read 'Aayaht 'al-kursee (47)

  completely,
for there is still upon you from Allah a guardian, and no shaytan can get
close to you until you enter upon morning. Then he said: "He told you
the truth and he is a liar, ([that was a shaytan])".

  Footnotes
  (47) Verse 244 of Surat Al-Baqarah (#2).

  It is
reported of the Prophet that he said:
"Whoever reads the last two verses of Surat Al-Baqarah (#2) in a night
  they would suffice him".

  Reporters
Reported by Bukhãri and Muslim, and
Al-Albãni included it in The Authentic of
  Good Sayings as #27.

  If one of you
gets up from his bed and then returns to it, then let him shake it out
[yanfudh(48) it] with the inside of his waist wrapper three times,
for one does not know what succeeded him on it, and when he has lied down he
should say Bismika rabbee wadha`tu jambee,
wabika 'arfa`uhu, fa 'in 'amsakta nafsee farhamhã, wa 'in 'arsaltahã,
fahfathhã bimã tahfathu bihi `ibãdaka 'as-sãliheena(49)

  Then upon
waking up let him say: Al-hamdu lil-lãhi
'allathee `ãfãnee fee jasadee, wa radda `alayya roohee, wa 'athina lee
  bithikrihi(50)

  Footnotes
  (48) Yanfudh is a form of the verb
nafadha which is a perturbation with the purpose of removing something. For
example this same word is used to refer to perturbations such as shaking-out
a dust mat. In this case you are using the inner side of your garment (izar)
and perturbing the surface of your bed as if you were dusting it off.
  (49) In Thy name, O my Lord, I have laid
my side, and by You I shall lift it, if You keep hold of my soul [i.e. take
my life] then have mercy on it, and if You are to send it on, then preserve
it in [or with] that which You preserve your pious bondservants in [or with].

  (50) All praise be to Allah that has
sparred me in my body, returned my soul upon me, and has permitted that I
  engage in his remembrance.

  Reporters
Reported by At-Tirmithi who said it
was comely. Al-Albãni said it was of good ascription, and he included it in The Authentic of Good Sayings as #28.

  He said
to `Ali and Fãtima: "Shan't I guide the two of you to what has more
goodness in it, for you, than a servant? When you resort to your bed, make
  tasbeeh [to say: Subhana 'allahi

] 33 times, tahmeed [to say: 'Al-hamdu lillãhi

  ] 33 times, and takbeer
  [to say: 'Allahu 'akbaru

  ] 34 times". Ali
said: Thus I have not left them since I heard them from the Messenger of
Allah . It was said to him: Not even the night of [the battle of]
Siffeen? He said: Not even the night of Siffeen.

  Reporters
  Reported by Al-Bukhãri and Muslim.
Al-Albãni included it in The Authentic of
  Good Sayings as #29.

  Upon retiring
to his bed(52) the Prophet would say: Al-hamdu lil-lãhi 'allathee 'at`amanã wa saqãnã, wa
kafãnã, wa ãwãnã, fakam miman lã kãfiya lahu wa lã mu'wee(53)

  Footnotes
  (52) Although the word bed is used it is
not meant to convey the meaning of a mattress. The Prophet used to
sleep on a simple mat, not a mattress.
  (53) All praise be to Allah Who has fed
us, offered us drink, sufficed us, and sheltered us, for how many are there
that have no one to suffice them, nor to shelter them. [38]

Sister Ayesha assalamu alikum,
We care about your question and I will try to respond in a very short
answer.
Be with good people if possible.
Make theker (remembrance of Allah) most of the time, whenever you are in the
car or in the street or at home.
Listen to the holy quarn in your car and make sure that you have some one
who you like to hear from and there are many of them.
Stop listening to music and read quran in your spear time.
Read the sahabh's the companions' life time and the stories of the sisters
too.
Read the stories of the reverted sisters and brothers.
Pray on time all the five payers.
Make sure that you wash good the wudu it is really important.
Use your time affectively.
Participate in the activities in your masijed and in the communities.
Make sure that you are with religious sisters who can direct and help and
promote your eman (faith).
Be away from the those people who are far from Islam religion.
Pray late at night and ask Allah for his guidance and strengthen you emnan.
Do not believe that Allah is not answering your prayers, it either allah is
preventing atrocities that could get you or Allah is keeping it for the
hereafter in the last day or your will get the result soon so keep praying
but we have to be patient.

This is what I can think of for the time being. Should you need help please
let me know.

I feel myself slipping away from Islam. Not that I want to be another
religion, but I'll just been getting caught-up in the streets. I pray
all the time that I never go astray, but my prayers don't seem like they
are being answered. What dua' should I say or what should I do?
