non-Muslims of the limits set by Allah.

WE are seen as "silly Muslims".

Of course, when headlines have death and destruction the adjective

Assalamalaikum brother and sister in islam
Shirk is not just to see
shirk is that which joins in pray with God (Allah)
like going  to Dargah( or any waliullah grave) and asking for food or son or any thing
this is also a shirk, getting knowledge is not shirk but to belive in advance prediction from astrologer is also a shirk because no one knows the knowledge in advance for anything not life not death not food or anything in world or thereafter Everything is in hands of Allah. If any one want more details there are so many sites which are based on Quran and Sunnah visit these sites and read it for more information in English and other languages.

www.ahya.org
www.quransunnah.com
www.ahlulhadeeth.net
www.allaahuakbar.net
www.islam-qa.com

Please visit these site for more knowledge and read it with reference and verify it with Quran and Sunnah and then except or rejection is on you.

If you see that you are saving $10 out of every week's paycheck are
you commiting taghut or shirk to say "inshallah, at the end of the
year I will have enough to go on Hajj..."?

No... it is just math.

Wealth or weather, the same principle applies: we apply our knowlege
as best we can and then leave it to Allah.
