[Bug 123686] New: Remove support for building multiple languages in one run of make_installer.pl
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123686 Bug ID: 123686 Issue Type: DEFECT Summary: Remove support for building multiple languages in one run of make_installer.pl Product: Build Tools Version: 4.1.0-dev Hardware: All OS: All Status: CONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: code Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org Reporter: awf@googlemail.com CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org The -l option of make_installer.pl can accept multiple languages separated by '#'. This makes make_installer.pl build installation sets for each language in one run. This feature is not used when make_installer.pl is started via instsetoo_native/util/makefile.mk. Its effect can easily be reproduced by starting make_installer.pl several times for each of the languages. As it just makes the code more complex it should be removed. It is similar to bug 123667 (transfer from .xls files) which makes .xls files incompatible with Ooo with respect to conditional format If wo cells are linked by formula, and one moves with respect to another, we correctly update the formula. I continued by dragging and dropping a 2800x990px image onto a second slide 10 times. I then used control-c and control-v to append a copy of this new slide 198 times bringing the number of slides to a total of 200. [Bug 108952] add to custom show list ,then hide all pages at custom show ,finally play it ,program crash
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=108952 --- Comment #19 from jkfi...@iupui.edu --- This bug can still be reproduced in a current build. I have used the following configuration: Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1; AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958 Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Service Pack 1 Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.20 GHz, 4GB RAM Test 1 Set-up: The instructions in Comment 17 are spot-on. I did not find a simpler means of replication. Result: The screen flashes black for an instant, I briefly notice a blank dialog box, and Impress crashes. Some follow-up tests... Test 2 Set-up: 1. New empty presentation. 2. Create just one slide. 3. Slide Show - Hide Slide OR Click Hide-Slide button under Slide Pane sidebar 4. Play slide show via... a. F5 - no result, as expected b. Slide Show - Slide Show is disabled, as expected Result: Functionality is as expected; the slide show does not start because the only slide is hidden. Test 3 Set-up: 1. New empty presentation. 2. Create two slides. 3. Hide Slide 1 through either the Hide-Slide button or Slide Show menu. 4. Do not hide Slide 2. 4. Make Slide 1 visible in the main window. 5. Play slide show (not custom slide show) via F5 or the Slide Show menu. Result: The presentation starts with Slide 1 (the hidden slide). I believe this behavior would be unexpected to the user. By comparison, with the same starting configuration, Microsoft Powerpoint 2010 will start the presentation with the first non-hidden slide when you press F5. It also seems inconsistent with Test 2: In that test, Slide 1 was also visible in the main window, yet Impress would not play the slide show with the hidden slide. Test 4: Variant of Test 3 with custom slide show Set-up: 1. Repeat steps 1-4 of Test 3 2. Go to menu Slide Show - Custom Slide Show... 3. Click button New... 4. Add Slides 1 and 2 to the Selected Slides pane, and press OK. 5. Check Use Custom Slide Show 6. Press Close button 7. Start the presentation via the Start button, F5, or the Slide Show menu. Result: Only Slide 2 is displayed in the presentation. The result is the same whether Slide 1 or Slide 2 is selected when the presentation starts. This behavior is as expected, but it does seem inconsistent with the result of Test 3. Overall: There does not seem to be a bug dependency on how many slides are in the custom slide show; they just all must be hidden, and you must use a custom slide show to initiate the crash. Impact: There is the potential for the loss of unsaved work, which would be troublesome for many users. However, users would not be likely to run a custom slide show with all hidden slides frequently, so the overall impact is probably minimal. Another risk is a delay when presenting to professional colleagues or clients. The results of Test 3 could allow attendees to view information that the presenter did not intend to share. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. [Bug 123645] numbering indentation issues
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123645 --- Comment #6 from Josh Pharis jrpha...@iupui.edu --- I was able to duplicate the bug on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit using AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958. I began testing with other numbering and outlining structures and found a pattern as to when the extra indent occurs, see test cases attachment. The extra indent shows up when the last character of the outline label encroaches on where the text will be. Note the roman numeral structure which gives a good depiction of this. I could not find a solution to add more padding between the label and the text, but a work-around could be to remove a trailing '.' from the label, which can be done under the options tab when selecting the numbering/outlining structure. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=109918 James H jhaar...@umail.iu.edu changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jhaar...@umail.iu.edu --- Comment #8 from James H jhaar...@umail.iu.edu --- I was able to successfully replicate one of the results using Windows 7 Enterprise (SP1). 2) Upon opening a .pptx file it took over three minutes for the zoom tool to successfully load. I did find that once I had opened a file using Impress, that subsequently closing and reopening the program resulted in no loading delay for the zoom bar. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. [Bug 123624] Big table with more than 65536 cells gets damaged when saving
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123624 --- Comment #7 from ch...@iupui.edu --- Following the steps (skipping 5 as specified), I can verify that 2520 does indeed work properly, and 2521 does break when re-opened. Both of these files have a quite long loading time, and they do make open office not respond for a short while, but will eventually open. When the new version of 2521.odt does finally open, each row has only one cell, and then there is one row at the very bottom with about 10 cells in the row. [Bug 114992] Calc inserts a wrong, warped formula
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=114992 jkfi...@iupui.edu changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jkfi...@iupui.edu --- Comment #6 from jkfi...@iupui.edu --- I have attempted to replicate this bug using the following build and configuration: Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1; AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958 Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Service Pack 1 Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.20 GHz, 4GB RAM I cannot replicate the warped formula results of the OP or comment 4, but there is still unexpected behavior in Calc. Results of initial attempt to replicate using the attachment in Comment 2 (example.ods) and the steps in Comment 1 follow After completing Step 1 and switching to Sheet1, I am unable to select any cell in Sheet1 by clicking. The formula remains unchanged after clicking cells in Sheet1. The only cells that can be added to the formula in Sheet3.B2 are those cells in Sheet2 or Sheet3. I have also attempted some follow-up tests with same spreadsheet but slight modifications. Details are further below, but here are the results of my tests: In order for the bug to occur... 1. It seems necessary that the sheet with the formula-in-progress be frozen (Sheet3). 2. It also seems necessary for one of the other sheets to not be frozen. Further results: 1. If a sheet is not frozen, we can add a frozen and/or non-frozen sheet's cell to its formula bar by mouse-click. 2. If a sheet is frozen, we can add a frozen sheet's cell to its formula bar by mouse-click, but we CANNOT add a non-frozen sheet's cell to its formula bar by mouse click. Expected results are received in each test if formulas are entirely typed (no mouse-clicks). I believe this is clearly unexpected behavior. By contrast, Microsoft Excel 2010 does not have this problem. Test Details... In each of these tests: A single workbook with three sheets is used. One or more of the sheets have frozen panes obtained by selecting B2, and Window-Freeze. Sheet1.B2 has value 1 Sheet2.B2 has value 2 In Sheet3.B2, we attempt to add the formula '=Sheet1.B2+Sheet2.B2' via 1. Type '=' in Sheet3.B2 2. Switch to Sheet1 and click Sheet1.B2 3. Type '+' 4. Switch to Sheet2 and click Sheet2.B2 5. Press Enter. The expected result is Sheet3.B2 will display value 3. Test t1 Sheets not frozen: 2,3 Sheets frozen: 1 Result: As expected. Test t2 Sheets not frozen: 1,3 Sheets frozen: 2 Result: As expected. Test t3 Sheets not frozen: 1,2 Sheets frozen: 3 Result: Bug. Description: No cell in any sheet other than Sheet3 can be selected by mouse click. Test t4 Sheets not frozen: 1,2 Sheets frozen: 3 Result: As expected. Test t5 Sheets not frozen: 2 Sheets frozen: 1,3 Result: Bug. Description: Sheet1.B2 can be selected by mouse click but Sheet2.B2 cannot. Test t6 Sheets not frozen: 1 Sheets frozen: 2,3 Result: Bug. Description: Sheet2.B2 can be selected by mouse click but Sheet1.B2 cannot. Test t7 Sheets not frozen: - Sheets frozen: 1,2,3 Result: As expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.
[Bug 123624] Big table with more than 65536 cells gets damaged when saving
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123624 --- Comment #8 from kelle...@iupui.edu --- I successfully replicated the bug in 4.0.1 using Windows 7 64 bit. Following the steps laid out by andy.ver...@gmail.com, the renamed 2521.odt file's table was absolutely destroyed. Also, I can also confirm that the renamed file has been converted from odf 1.0 to 1.2, though with errors. In fact, both test files are 1.0, and both renamed test files are incorrectly 1.2. I'm not sure how much this has to do with the formatting problem, as the renamed 2520.odt file still displays correctly, despite the poor conversion. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
