Steps 1. Launch OpenOffice Writer 2. Launch Google chrome and type the web address https://www.facebook.com/ 3. Open Facebook page and Click message in the left hand side of the panel 4. Click on one of the chat conversation 5. Select the conversation and copy it 6. Go to OpenOffice Writer 7. Click on File New Text Document. A new OpenOffice Writer document is opened 8. Paste the conversation from Facebook chat room to the new document Result: OpenOffice Writer does not crash with the above steps. Tested with OpenOffice Version 4.0.1 Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit RAM: 4GB Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.5GHz Add some additional comments on my original one. I used one of my chat conversation from 2010 to 2014. There are more than 300 pages. For privacy issue, I do not want to post it as an test result attachment. The conversation consists of text, images and links. I pasted over to OpenOffice without crashes. A more detailed description by the author would better facilitate the steps needed to replicate the crash. The steps I took, result, and testing environment are as follows: Steps: 1) Launch OpenOffice Writer 2) Launch Firefox and navigate to the web address https://www.facebook.com/ 3) Log in to Facebook page and click messages, located on the left hand side panel 4) Click on one of the chat conversations 5) Highlight the entire conversation (including pictures and text) and right-click, select the copy option. 6) Navigate back to OpenOffice Writer 7) Click on File New Text Document (a new text document will be opened) 8) Right-click anywhere on the open document and select the paste option to paste the Facebook conversation. Result: OpenOffice Writer does not crash using the above steps. The Facebook conversation appeared in the document after pasting.
