Kalau dari saya, bisa pakai Untangle, ada fasilitas WAN balancer dan juga WAN Failover WAN Balancer bisa digunakan agar lebih dari satu koneksi internet bisa digunakan bersama sama WAN Failover bisa diset otomatis agar saat salah satu koneksi mati akan pindah ke ISP yang lain. Pake tunneling menggunakan jalur vpn..sebenarnya ane juga yg setting dri orang consultant ifs-nya..isp yg dipake klo bisa sama antara pusat dan cabang.. Sekitar tahun 1996an, karena saat itu kabel UTP masih sangat mahal dan sulit untuk menambah kabel, sedangkan ada permintaan penambahan workstation, satu kabel UTP, yang isinya 8, 4 pasang, itu saya pecah menjadi 4, 2pasang dan 4, 2 pasang dan itu saya gunakan untuk 2 koneksi LAN yang kebetulan arah perkabelannya. Saat itu tidak pernah ada masalah, mungkin karena saat itu speednya baru 10BaseTX. Demikian juga, untuk hubungan normal, yaitu 1 kabel UTP untuk 1 workstation, kalau ada yang putus di tengah jalan, antara lain karena digigit tikus, saya lepas ke dua ujungnya, di salah satu ujung saya hubung singkatkan semua dan di ujung lain saya ukur dengan Ohm meter x1, akan diketahui, pasangan kabel mana yang putus. Kalau masih tersisa 2 pasangan yang masih tersambung, saya gunakan pasangan kabel itu dan setelah dipasang konektor baru, LAN berfungsi lagi. Memang di jaman itu, di mana umumnya LAN masih banyak yang menggunakan kabel coaxial, maka kabel UTP ini sangat mahal. Demikian juga konektto Rj-45 dan juga Tang penjepitnya, masih import dari USA yang harganya sangat mahal Sekarang sih kabelnya sudah murah, konektornya sangat murah dan tangnya, yang harganya 30ribuan saja ada. [ITCENTER] Bagaimana sih cara make USB modem mobile broadband Huawei e169 di MekBook?
Ane punya MekBook, mau dipasangi modem USB mobile broadband HuaWei e169. Di dalam USB modemnya sudah dikasih driver buat diinstall. Tapi setelah diinstall, doi tidak ngasih application apa apa buat dialer, jadi pakai dialer bawaan Mac OS. Kelihatan sih device HuaWei modem, hanya saja di setup screen cuman kelihatan : a. phone number : diisi *99# b. username : kosong aja c. password : kosong saja Basically cuman setup PPP standard. Tidak ada pilihan untuk setup APN buat HS(D/U)PA (misalkan xlunlimited, shwan etc). Otomatis ketika ditekan Connect, ya standard PPP aja dan dilihat dari modem light-nya, warna koneksi cuman hijau saja, alias di GPRS mode doang, tidak light blue (3G mode). Ini masih driver tahun 2008. Kalau mau trial n error untuk driver terbaru, cari pakai keyword winmac. Di situ ketemu beberapa Mobile Connect terbaru untuk MAC, tinggal test saja, mana yang kompatibel sama e169.
