Untuk pemakaian regular, Aplikasi/Compiler tdk berhubungan langsung dgn database server(MySql) kecuali melalui odbc driver. Jadi mysql versi apapun asal odbc drvr nya ada, tentu compatible. Officially, belum ada crystal report yg fully compatible dgn vista, sedangkan yg cukup compatible adalah Crystal report XI R2 servica pack 2. Ada baiknya juga memulai belajar program dari vb6, untuk lebih memahami struktur pemrograman. Server ini mau difungsikan sebagai backup server, jadi kalo server primary fail, utk sementara email masuk ke server secondary ini, nantinya kalau server primary sudah up kembali, maka email yg sementara waktu disimpan di secondary akan ditarik kembali oleh primary server... Seingat saya kalau di exchange 2003 ada menu utk menambahkan server exchange baru ke dalam sebuah domain di setup screennya... Nah, kalo di exchange 2007 gimana yah caranya?
