Mengenai adapter LCD LGnya, betul itu hanya informasi, bahwa tegangannya adalah 
12 volt dan kapasitas adaptornya adalah maksimum 2 ampere. Jadi maksimum daya 
yang bisa disalurkan 24 watt, kalau adaptor itu benar2 berkapasitas segitu. 
Kebanyakan kapasitas sebenarnya, tidak sampai begitu. Demikian juga dengan daya 
yang digunakan LCD LG itu, tidak sampai 2 amper.

Sulit karena tegangannya ada beberapa tegangan. Ada yang 12 volt, 5 volt, 3.3 
volt dan lainnya, yang berarti anda harus mempunyai beberapa adapter external. 
Belum harus mengadakan terminalnya. Di sisi lain, harga power supply komputer 
yang berbentuk kotak besi itu, sudah sangat murah, ada yang di bawah 100 ribu.

Masalahnya, motherboard itu butuh catuan tidak hanya +12V doang, tapi juga +5V, 
+3.3V, -3.3.V dan -12V. Jadi kalo mau dicatu dengan catu daya tunggal, di dalam 
kotak itu anda masih membutuhkan DC to DC converter untuk membuat multiple line 
output seperti itu. Selain itu kudu dipikirkan bagaimana konfigure pin POWER_OK 
dan PS_ON.
ADa motherboad yg sudah dirancang khusus, macem punya Jetway, sehingga bisa 
pakai single 12V input lalu ada onboard DC to DC converter. ATau untuk mobo 
yang tidak punya begituan, anda bisa beli module converter. CAri saja pakai 
keyword mini-itx, ntar ada website di UK yang kerjaannya merangkum beginian, 
termasuk casing mini yang cocok, dll.
Tapi hati hati saja, harganya tidak murah, bisa jadi lebih mahal dari harga 
motherboard mini ITX standard. TApi ya namanya industrial PC, maklum aja dah.

Bung Arie, lisensi FPP hanya berlaku untuk satu CPU atau
komp saja. Memang sih jika anda berbohong ke Microsoft
menyatakan klo komp A anda bilang mainboardnya rusak
( ternyata masih bagus dan lisensi FPP masih melekat disitu ),
lalu anda install lagi lisensi FPP tsb dgn DVD Windows yg sama
dan serial number yg sama di komp B, dalam hal ini anda
sudah memakai 2 lisensi FPP dgn serial number yg sama pada
komp A dan komp B. Jika suatu saat nanti ada pemeriksaan dari
pihak kepolisian, anda bisa disalahkan karena pada intinya
anda menginstall Windows FPP pada 2 buah komp yg berbeda
( komp A dan komp B ). Salah satu komp gak harus mati atau
rusak hardwarenya agar anda bisa install dan aktivasi di komp B,
anda berbohong sama Microsoft anda bisa aktivasi juga. Tapi
resiko ditanggung anda dan Big Boss jika suatu saat nanti ada
pemeriksaan lisensi software di company anda.

Untuk amannya sih lebih baik ketika salah satu komp ( komp A )
mainboard sudah rusak, anda baru pakai lisensi FPP ke komp B,
lalu di komp A ketika anda sudah beli mainboard baru dan mau
install FPP lagi, pakailah lisensi FPP dari serial number yg berbeda
pada komp A dan pastikan serial numbernya berbeda dgn yg berada
dari komp B.

Bro,

Mungkin bisa pake Ultra VNC / Radmin viewer, dia bisa view client lagi buka 
aplikasi apa aja di layar pc nya, tanpa si client merasa terganggu dengan 
remote tsb. Dan fungsinya bisa ditingkatkan sampai bisa turn-off pc yg diremote 
oleh admin aplikasinya nya.

Coba untuk Deep Freeze di Sisi client-nya di unactive terlebih dahulu, kemudian 
client di join kembali
dan Deep Freeze-nya di active-kan kembali, karena kalau Deep Freeze-nya masih 
active walaupun kita
Install berbagai aplikasi dan join beberapa kalipun akan tetap sama 
hasilnya, PC / Laptop akan kembali seperti settingan awalnya
ketika setelah di restart.

Mas Den,

Sangat tidak disarankan menggunakan program semacam deep freeze di sisi
server, kecuali tidak pernah ada komputer yg di-join ke domain lagi. Karena
sifat join domain dan check-nya yg dynamic, takutnya, sering di-cut-over
oleh program semacam deep freeze, sehingga, yg sudah join domain, jadi
unjoin lagi.

Sudah dijawab oleh rekan2 diatas,
ini sangat tergantung sekali dengan OS yang anda pakai.

di windows hanya server OS yang bisa multisession login seperti yang anda
inginkan,
sudah built in ga perlu soft tambahan.

Kalo usernya pake XP misalnya..
ya ga bisa, by nature Client OS windows hanya bisa single session.

Thanks banget Sdr Wiempy atas infonya. Dengan saya memiliki Lisensi FPP 
tersebut, misal sebelumnya saya install & aktivasi di komp A lalu beberapa 
bulan kemudian install & aktivasi di komp B itu apakah diperbolehkan? Apakah 
harus salah satu kompi-nya mati (rusak hardware), misal komp A, baru bisa 
install dan aktivasi di komp B?

Pada Lisensi Windows kan ada yang OEM ada juga yang FPP, yang saya tau kalo 
OEM harus di-install pada kompi dengan spec yang sama pada saat aktivasi dan 
setau saya tidak dibatasi berapa kali instalasi asal pada kompi yang sama 
(setau saya untuk ganti memori, harddisk, VGA card gak masalah asal bukan 
processor).

Yang ingin saya tanyakan apakah lisensi FPP bisa di-install dan aktivasi 
pada komputer yang berbeda misal saya beli kompi baru tapi kompi yang lama 
saya jual kosongan (tanpa OS), itu apakah bisa? Jika tidak bisa, lalu 
bedanya dengan OEM apa?

Lisensi FPP bisa diinstall di komp mana saja, jadi misalnya komp A
suatu saat nanti rusak, lalu anda punya cadangan komp B. Jika
komp A sudah terinstall lisensi Windows FPP, maka andai kata
komp A tiba2 mainboardnya rusak dan tidak bisa dipakai lagi,
maka anda bisa install lisensi Windows FPP dgn serial number
yg sama di komp B, lalu anda bisa aktivasi dgn telp ke Microsoft
Indonesia.

Sedangkan lisensi OEM melekat pada hardware yaitu pada mainboard.
Jika komp A anda install lisensi Windows OEM, lalu suatu saat nanti
mainboard komp A rusak, maka lisensi Windows OEM tersebut hangus
dan tidak bisa dipergunakan diinstall ke komp B maupun komp lainnya.

Agar lisensi OEM tidak hangus begitu saja, jika anda sudah terlanjur
punya lisensi OEM saya sarankan lisensi OEM diupgrade saja ke lisensi
OLP (Open License Program). Microsoft jual koq lisensinya. Untuk Win
XP OEM yg mau diupgrade ke Win 7 OLP harganya klo tidak salah sekitar
$ 155 US Dollar. Ketika lisensi OEM sudah diupgrade, maka ketika ada
kerusakan mainboard pada komp A, anda bisa ganti mainboard pada
komp A dgn mainboard lainnya, lalu anda install kembali Win 7 OLP
hasil upgrade ke komp A dan itu diperbolehkan oleh Microsoft
berdasarkan End User License Agreement (EULA).

Dear All,

Apakah ada yg pernah coba, power supply internal PC yg di dalam casing, 
yg kotak besi gede, diganti dengan adaptor external aja?
Beli dimana?

Ini ada PC Atom with casing ITX yg power supplynya rusak, pengen coba 
ganti ke adaptor.
Kalo bisa ntar mau coba bikin casing sendiri yg ukurannya kecil. :)

Btw, monitor LCD LG sekarang juga menggunakan power supply 
external/adaptor, pake yg 12V 2A.
Berarti itu monitor konsumsi listriknya cuma max 12x2 = 24w?

Saya mau sharing tentang hotspot/wi-fi, diruko tempat saya bekerja ada 5 lantai 
dan tiap lantai ingin ada jaringan wi-fi nya
menurut rekan2 baiknya saya menggunakan apa? apakah tiap lantai saya pasang 
modem wi-fi atau saya menggunakan access point secara ruko tersebut sudah ada 
jaringan LAN nya dengan menggunakan modem cisco linksys x2000.

Karena anda menginginkan bisa lebih dari 2 session, dan user yang ada 
tetap aktif, ada 2 solusi:
1) Solusi yang benar, yang seharusnya di jalankan orang IT: gunakan 
Windows Server dengan Terminal Services sebagai host. Dari user, nanti 
pakai Remote Desktop Connection.

2) Solusi yang salah besar, yang menyiksa user host karena resource 
PC-nya dipakai banyak orang, yang bikin user host teriak karena lambat, 
yang bikin PC host sering hang/crash, yang sering digunakan orang IT 
malas cari solusi: gunakan Windows XP/Vista/7 sebagai host + cari di 
Google agar bisa multi-session Remote Desktop di Windows desktop.

karena tidak pernah dijelaskan pakai OS apa, jawabannya akan tidak fokus.

di mac sudah built-in.
di linux anda bisa pakai nomachine nx.
di windows anda harus pakai windows server semacam windows
2000/2003/2008 server + terminal server license.

yang anda butuhkan adalah sebuah USB over ethernet print server. ini
ada driver windows-nya, dan sudah saya tes di windows bisa dipasang
usb webcam. harganya jauh lebih murah ketimbang NAS server, cuma
kelemahannya adalah kebanyakan kliennya khusus windows. saya sendiri
belum pernah coba pakai usb over ethernet dengan klien linux/ubuntu.

Setahu saya untuk Windows Server 2003 maupun 2008 bisa jalan hanya jika
feature Terminal Services-nya jalan, dan ini ada CAL-nya sendiri setiap
session. Feature ini banyak digunakan untuk menjalankan aplikasi client
server jarak jauh karena hemat bancwidth, lumayan sebagai alternatif citrix
yang relatif jauh lebih mahal.

Sangat tidak disarankan menggunakan program semacam deep freeze di sisi
server, kecuali tidak pernah ada komputer yg di-join ke domain lagi. Karena
sifat join domain dan check-nya yg dynamic, takutnya, sering di-cut-over
oleh program semacam deep freeze, sehingga, yg sudah join domain, jadi
unjoin lagi.
