Dear Mas Rino, Saya juga pernah beberapa kali di telp seperti itu, mereka biasanya hanya menanyakan apa ada kebutuhan software microsoft atau tidak, dan ini sepertinya adalah investigasi secara ga langsung karna mereka menanyakan apakah dikantor sudah menggunakan software microsoft (asli) khususnya windowsnya. Kebetulan semua PC yg saya beli untuk kantor sudah bundling dengan software microsoftnya. Lain hal nya dengan autodesk indonesia (autocad), kalau ada yg meng-install autocad bajakan dan ga sengaja registrasi dan updating softwarenya otomatis, mereka langsung inspeksi ke kantor. Coba pakai anvir task manager, semua proses akan kelihatan. Apabila komputer anda terhubung internet file yg mencurigakan tersebut bisa anda bisa check apakah file tersebut virus atau bukan. Halo Mas Dian, Ikutan nimbrung ya :) Saya setuju dengan post dari Mas Tri dibawah ini. Hardware RAID migration tergantung pada controllernya apakah support atau tidak. Contohnya server yang memakai LSI MegaRAID controller support RAID Level Migration (RLM) dan juga Online Capacity Expansion (OCE). Kita tinggal masuk ke software RAID managernya lalu lakukan migrasi/ekspansi. Banyak server yang ada onboard RAID controllernya, cuma pake Zero Channel controller saja, jadi hanya support RAID 0 dan 1. Jadi harus diperiksa dulu spesifikasi controller apa yang dipakai di server IBM anda. Untuk fitur Dynamic Disk dari Windows 2003, saya belum pernah coba migrasi level RAID, tapi kalau Online Expansion saya pernah coba.. dan gagal. Ternyata online expansion hanya bisa dilakukan jika dari awalnya harddisk tsb sudah dynamic dan dibuat volume, tetapi jika prosesnya adalah HDD basic, bikin partisi, lalu ubah ke dynamic (partisi berubah jadi volume), ini tidak bisa di-expand. Kalau saya, saya cenderung malas untuk berurusan dengan dynamic disk. Setelah saya konsultasikan dengan teman saya, akhirnya kami berhasil mengatasinya. Masalah ada pada global address yang tidak bisa update. Meski sudah coba diupdate tapi tetap ogah update. Begitu direbuild malah ilang semua tuh global addressnya (tapi masternya masih kok). Solusinya adalah install Service Pack 1 buat MS Exchange 2003. Benar kata Bung Albert. Asalkan tuh komputer atau host atau printer atau mesin apapun asal TELAH JOIN KE DOMAIN maka dia bisa diakses oleh semua anggota domain termasuk users domain, tanpa harus menambahkan user account ke msg2 kompi. Inilah keunggulan domain dibanding workgroup. Di dalam workgroup, sebuah user account hanya bisa login ke kompi yg telah diset account untuknya, jadi klo mo akses ke 100 kompi, maka harus ada account dia di ke-100 kompi tadi (gampang tapi melelahkan). Di domain, sebuah user account bisa login ke semua kompi anggota domain cukup dengan membuat sebuah account di Active Directory si Domain Controller (server) yg berlaku sbg RID-FSMO, tanpa meng-create account ke 100 kompi anggota domain. Cara join utk WinXP: Klik kanan My Computer - Propertis - Computer Name - Change. Masukkan nama domain, username yg punya hak join (misal Administrator), password. Restart. Gw pake windows2000server, DNS primary zone, root domain. Klo gw pake nih server sbg DNS utama, gw ga bisa konek internet soalnye DNS server ga bisa resolve. Gw cek di cache DNS isinya kosong alias kagak ada entrynya. Gw coba set forwarder tdk bisa katanya(windows) ga perlu forwarder karena ini adalah root domain. Saya rasa lebih bijak bagi kita sebelum kita bertanya tentang masalah kita .. hendaknya kita mencantumkan paling tidak pesan error yang tampil pada saat masalah itu timbul ..!atau menggambarkan masalahnya secara detail .. ini untuk lebih memudahkan teman-teman IT'er yng lain untuk bisa mentracking titik masalahnya dan berujung pada pemberian jawaban ...! so .. gimana dear All IT'er ! What is port? - Port adalah jalur yang dibuka untuk komunikasi dengan komputer/program lain untuk saling berkomunikasi ! kira-kira begitchu ..! - yang umum port ada dua jenis UTP dan UDP - TCP reliable dan UDP engga reliable Port Client + Port Server ? - setahu saya engga ada pembagian port berdasarkan client atau server . Misal untuk koneksi http atau internet komputer harus buka port 80 email port 25 (smpt), pop3 23, telnet 21, dll. Untuk menerapkan security rule aturan yang umum adalah : Tutup semua port dan buka port yang seperlunya saja ! dan untuk ini anda harus tahu program-program apa yang jalan pada komputer anda serta service-service apa saja yang terinstall di komputer anda dan memerlukan port berapa saja untuk berkomunikasi! (kalau salah tolong di koreksi yah) BTW: kalau di Linux sih lebih flexibel, engga tahu kalo di Jendela-Jendela (windows) ? :-( BTW: Kalau kurang jelas bisa Japri tuh!
