terjadi delay dan di samping itu juga untuk penyebaran DNS paling cepat 1 hari

mohon bantuannya kepada teman-teman

saya ceritakan dulu kejadiannya.

pada tanggal 29 Juli yang lalu saya coba untuk mengganti domain yg lama 
misalkan XYZ.co.id menjadi ABC-DEFG.co.id.

setalah itu saya coba untuk kirim dan terima email dari dalam kedalam dan dari 
luar kedalam hasilnya ok.



setelah dua hari kemudian email dari luar seperti gmail, yahoo atau yang lain 
tidak bisa masuk ke lokal saya. kalau saya cek via web ada email tersebut dan 
bila ditarik dengan outlook emailnya pun bisa ketarik.



mohon pencerahaan dari temen2 yang telah berpengalaman pada mdaemon.

Pengalaman pribadi lebih suka pake Exchange. Karena intergate dengan Domain 
Windows Server. Untuk Mdaemon belom pernah pakai. Hanya pernah dapet informasi 
kalo MDaemon sering di anggap spam.
Mudah-mudahan bisa membantu.

Bro..

Kalo urusan mana yg mudah ato maan yg sulit itu relatif. Tapi klo soal
bagus, keduanya sama-sama bagus koq.Cuman dari sisi license, Exchange jauh
lebih mahal dibanding Mdaemon(CMIIW). Jadi mungkin perlu diperhitungkan dulu
soal biayanya, baru bisa nentuin mau pakai yang mana [?][?]

Untuk perusahaan nggak harus pakai software berbayar, asalkan sesuai
dengan kebutuhan si perusahaan itu sendiri. Mau bukti? Disini saya
"cuma" pakai Postfix + Courier IMAP + MySQL  buat mail server
perusahaan, dgn OS FreeBSD 6.2 & semuanya gratis lho.

dan google apps ini nggak sekedar mail, anda juga mendapatkan aplikasi
workgroup untuk scheduling, dan office yang sederhana (dokumen dan
spreadsheet).

Rekomendasi dari saya sih seperti yg diatas, kalo sendmail saya kurang 
suka makainya.   Mendingan dibaca-baca aja dulu situsnya baru 
disesuaikan berapa budget company kamu.   Dalam hal memilih mail server 
itu pun harus juga disesuaikan dengan specs server yg akan kamu sediakan 
nantinya.
(gampang kan jadi IT?)

Kalo mau *nix based, yg paling terkenal adalah sendmail, qmail dan postfix.
Tapi khusus di dunia Linux, banyak turunan qmail yg sudah dicustomized 
dan di package dengan macam macam utility yg memudahkan buat common 
usage dan newbie SysAdmin.

kalo mas pake provider Masterweb, bisa coba cek di cpanel nya, kalo pake 
provider lain sih saya kurang tau, soalnya saya pake Masterweb ;)...

manager. Klik tombol edit ke user yang mau diforward e-mailnya, lalu masuk 
ke tab forwarding dan centang pilihan "This account is currently forwarding 
mail" lalu masukkin aja alamat e-mail yang mau di forward di forwarding 
address(es). Bila mau diforward ke banyak alamat pake tanda koma aja.

anda punya, apakah kebutuhannya kudu 2003 ato cukup pake 2000.

trus, kalo mo bikin router, coba deh ke www.ilmukomputer.com,
termasuk juga cara belajar bikin mail server.

Waduh mas masa kagak ngerti sich, maksudnya ya posfix dan kawannyanya 
misal courier-IMAP ,courier-POP3 dll, makanya saya bilang coba baca 
manual settingnya di http://www.howtoforge.com, lah kalo kamu bilang 
qmail aja trus bilang dgn www.qmailrocks.org itu apa juga ? kan bukannya 
di qmailrocks juga akan dijelaskan selain qmail yg diinstall juga teman2 
lainnya hrs diinstall, piyee sich masss :)))

Untuk Mail server di Linux default-nya adalah Sendmail

Anda bisa pakai Qmail, Postfix

Untuk Performance Qmail cukup handal terutama untuk mail berbasis web,

sedangkan Sendmail adalah Mail server tua... yg sudah tidak dikembangkan
lagi.

OK kalau dial up 24 jam, maka disarankan anda punya firewall dulu. Jadi ntar 
emailnya disimpan di dalam LAN. Tinggal di firewallnya pake port 25 forwarding. 
Kalau mau yang gratisan, nt bisa pake firewall IpCop atau endian. Installnya 
gsmpang kok.

Nah kalau nt ingin solusi all in one (Mail server + Firewall), nt bisa pake 
Clark Connect (clarkconnect.com). Jadi hemat hardware. Worth it lah harganya 
cuma 2.5 juta. Manage-nya juga gampang plus sudah ada antispam dan clamav-nya. 
Juga ada content filteringnya buat block situs porno dan block download musik. 
Juga ada webservernya so nt bisa upload web company di situ. Juga ada IDS dan 
IPS-nya. Manage emailnya juga gampang plus ada failsitas backup-nya. Disarankan 
seh RAM-nya 1 GB.

Coba aja dulu yang versi home edition.

Btw sebelum mail servernya jadi, nt musti confirm ke ISP untuk resolv IP 
website dan MX-nya (mail exhanger). So ntar pas install udah ada ipnya gitu 
loh..

Yang harus disiapkan :

1. Komputer untuk Mail Server.
2. Mungkin yang windows dulu kali ya, bisa pakai Mdaemon, Atau Merak mail 
server di bhineka dah di jual tuh, Cukup bagus.
3. Untuk Firewall bisa pakai yang gratisan banyak tuh.

Pengerjaannya :
1. Install windows
2. Install software untuk mail servernya.
3. Setting domain dan usernya.
4. Selesai deh...

Boleh saya tanya :
1. Untuk di kantor atau ?
2. Berapa user ?
3. Kirim email untuk di lingkungan kantor atau bisa ke luar juga, kalau 
keluar juga berarti butuh IP Public.

Kalau ada yang kurang jelas silahkan tanya atau japri saya, semoga bisa saya 
bantu.

kayaknya biasa aja settingnya :)
tinggal create akun di masing² mail client, trus mengarahkan pop3 nya ke
server ybs.

untuk aplikasi webmail, mungkin kalo ditambahin bisa.

pengalaman install mdaemon sama exchange, semua kebutuhan ber email ria
sudah tepenuhi (smtp+pop3+webmail,dll)

kalo aku gak pernah si liat tutorialnya
cuma saat install MS exchange 2003
dia minta aku instal AD dulu
karena itu aku install AD
setelah itu jadi deh

nama login menjadi domain/user
passwd : passwd user
dan ini adalah user komputer yg terdaftar di AD
di sana banyak fasilitas, kerenlah
cuma mahal.hehehe

Yang jelas, kalau di Mercury mail server, setiap user akan dibuat sebuah
folder, dan setiap satu incoming atau outgoing mail itu berbentuk satu file.
Jika menggunakan file format NTFS, 1 file (1 email) besarnya bisa 4 GB dan 1
folder bisa menampung puluhan ribu file. Jadi, teoritis, anda bisa
kirim/terima puluhan ribu email yang besarnya maksimum 4GB, di Mercury Mail
Server. Tinggal anda tentukan mail client apa yang punya kemampuan seperti
itu, berapa besar bandwidth yang dibutuhkan, dan apakah anda mau
terima/kirim email 4 GB per mail.

Jangan tergiur dengan free alias gratis, kalo ada maslah lari ke siapa hayo, 
pikirkan juga tentang sistem back upnya apalagi untuk kepetingan bisnis agak 
mahal juga ngga apa2 kok
 
Kalo di OS server Windows 2003 memang sudah ada mail service, tinggal setup 
sedikit saja, untuk clientnya bisa pake outlook express

Btw untuk yang gratisan ini ada yang support nampung inbox sampai
dengan 1 GB gak ya?

Selama ini MS outlook inbox hanya sanggup nampung data sampai dengan 2
GB. Kalau udah nyampai 2 GB, kita harus bikin data file management
lagi.

Pertimbagkan mas matang-matang sejak awal kalau mau bikin mail server.

Saya sarankan memakai MDAEMON buatan alt-n. 
Berdasarkan pengalaman saya,mailserver ini mudah di maintain,gampang
configurasinya,tidak ribet seperti MS.xxx
Dan juga ada group milisnya jika memerlukan informasi seputar MDAEMON ini.
