James v2.1.1 heads up

2003-02-05 Thread Noel J. Bergman
I just posted v2.1.1a6 to the nightly build directories. If this looks
good, I'd like to get a vote to release it as v2.1.1. The test build
includes logkit v1.2 (not in CVS), but that won't go out unless Avalon votes
to release it. I expect that to occur by the weekend. Logkit v1.2 fixes
the log rotation defect I had reported to them.

Meanwhile, I've updated the web site, so it should be up to date with the
changelog, FAQ updates, XSL fixes, etc.

And now I am going to sleep. :-)

+1... looks good from user's feedback over the past couple of alpha builds.

Aren't we already using an unreleased version? If this fixes the bug in
the log rotation, what's the risk of upgrading from one unreleased to
another?

Awesome, thanks!

Actually, we are using the released logkit 1.1.1. And I was just trying to
abide by a policy.

If I were commit to their jar to the CVS, then the next person to do a cvs
update and build would get the test jar. I don't mind putting out a test
build with a release candidate, but I would not impose that upon everyone.
