Re: [jasperreports-questions] Very big report

2006-09-15 Thread yves pielusenet
When I trying Virtualizer demo int o jaserper source archive, It
do'ens't print directly :(
First there is a 'filling time' wich can take more than 3minutes for
1 pages,
and then a print job pop up isdisplay, i click on 'print all' and then
it take a very long, long time before printing :(
Is it the virutalizer demo which is not configured to print directly or
it is always like that ?
How can I print directly ?
thanks

Re: [jasperreports-questions] Very big report

2006-09-15 Thread yves pielusenet
Here is how I change the Virtuaizer demo to try to print directly.
But it is sensible the same :( The main() is existed before the print is
relly lauched by the system :( (I use linux debina with cups) CUPS is
launched (there is a job icon into gnome) only when the main() is
finished.
Is there a way to print before ?

Re: [jasperreports-questions] [NEWBIE] Large report and print directly

2006-09-11 Thread yves pielusenet
So I want to print checks for supermarkets. So I use jasper for printing
recipient and value (in euro), and another thread would print the CMC7
(in france we have a CMC7 at the bottom of check).
So a supermarcket can order million of those check (in french 'chèque
cadeau').
The another problem I have is that I have to print 2 check side by side
like this :

||  ||

So I think of modifying the report just before printing it. I n m y base
I will have all field twince for the second check like this :

name
name2
addresse
addresse2
value
value2
etc...

So before printing I multiply by 2 the width and I duplicate each zone.

:)

Also, could you please report if you succeed printing it. It would be
a nice information about jasperreports capabilities.
