[JAWS-Users] Finding indented text on a Web page

2007-04-01 Thread Frederick
Hi

In the message boards for the college class I am taking, the messages are
arranged much like an out line where the original message is to the left and
each response is indented blow it. I need to be able to determine which
messages are indented and by how much. How do I get Jaws to do this?

Thank you.

Hi

Yes, I have to mail lists at Google. One of my lists is in the list of links

Hi Scooter, John and Mark,

Your help is much appreciated.
OK, I'm far too literal I guess, a good atribute in my job, and so did type in
the word "space". I went back in and took out the word and simply hit the
space bar and WaLa, it works!

Thanks for your patience!

actually typed in the word space?

Re: Getting the Greaters OutHi

Its possible that going back in and editing out the space in the jaws

the dictionary manager is to correct the pronunciation of words but it did help

[JAWS-Users] Re: Getting the Greaters Out

2007-03-05 Thread Frederick
Hi

Select the >>> and then press JAWS Plus D. then when the dialog box opens press
enter. in the edit field you should see >>> if not type the grater signs here.
tab to the next field and type space. next tab to OK and type enter. next exit
by typing alt F. followed by x. and you should be rid of the >>> signs.

Note you may want to do the same for the double grater sign. Also you can
assign a sound for these characters.

Do you have it set to empty the deleted items folder on exit?
If so, they should be removed when you exit Outlook.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] installing new voices for Jaws 8.0

Hi list,
I have just installed Jaws 8.0 on to my home desktop. WOW, that was the longest
Jaws install I think I have ever done "smile". A couple of questions I have
though. After the install was finished and I did the required reboot of my
computer, I put the second Jaws 8.0 disk in, so as to install the new voices.
The disk however, will not boot up. Has anyone else experienced this? I think
you can manually start the disk through My computer in windows XP. However, I
don't have classic layout selected and can't find my computer. My second point
is, I noticed with Jaws 8.0, I wasn't prompted for an authorization disk. Is
that because, I already had Jaws 7.0 installed? If so, what will happen when I
install on to the desktops at work? Will I need to use my old authorization
disk? Like I said before, the last authorization disk issued was with Jaws 6.0.
According to my distributor, we have to keep using that one.
Thanks for your help
Jason

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and online bible.

List

I need some insight hear on how to navigate around online bible with jaws?

In the help file it says, Jaws is the screen reader that this program works
with but it doesn't give any key strokes at all. So if anyone out there knows
the ins and out of the program, I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks to all,

Carliss

[JAWS-Users] Re: digital radio

2007-01-05 Thread Frederick

Hi Mike,

You might want to try the blind hams list on this topic as well. I have no
personal experience using JAWS and digital modes but I would enjoy trying it
myself.

Hi all,
Is anyone using jaws with digital modes of amateur radio? I'm doing some experimenting with this with moderate success but I'm sure it could be better. Any ideas?

[JAWS-Users] Re: Changing music files to MP3

2007-01-03 Thread Frederick

Hi

I use gold wave to convert music files to MP3. It is fairly JAWS friendly for
this purpose. You can also get JAWS scripts for the program but I have yet to
be able to install them.

I am looking for a program to change music files that I currently have on my

with JAWS?

Hi Norman,

How do the real speak voices compare to the traditional JAWS voices? O and how
do you select them after installing them?

Mark,

The other disc is the other voices. It is personal choice as to whether you
install or not. Personally I have.

 Hi

I noticed that in my JAWS 8 update there are 2 disks. One has the program and
I don't know what the other is. Is this other disk the real speak voices? If so
is it worth installing them?

 Visit
 http://www.nextup.com/scansoft.html
  - "sample and purchase" page. You can there download short demo samples.
However, you would need to purchase one of their products or purchase JAWS8 to be able to use the voices.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS friendly Bible

2007-01-01 Thread Frederick

Hi

It has occurred to me since I am having troubles obtaining the "
New Oxford Annotated Bible: RSV (with Apocrypha)(Expd)" that is required for my theology
classes, in an alternative format, that perhaps there is a computer software package for this.
Does anyone know if there is a JAWS friendly Bible program that includes the "New Oxford
Annotated Bible: RSV (with Apocrypha)(Expd)"? If you could send me the information on
where to find it I would be most grateful!
