[JAWS-Users] Re: TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT

2007-03-31 Thread Denny Huff
Try this.
Close all of your running applications. Including OE, any instant messaging
programs, everything except Jaws.
Do a windows key r for run.
Type in, %temp%
Note the percent before and after temp.
After you have it typed in, press enter.
This should bring up a list of temp files you have.
Do a shift delete and say, yes to are you sure you want to delete.
After all are deleted, do an alt f4 to close.
And one more thing, open OE.
Do an alt t for tools, then an o for options.
In the general tab, tab to, automatically log on to windows messenger and
uncheck it. I know you don't use it, but make sure it is unchecked anyway.
Tab to OK and press enter.
That is about all of the help I can give you on this without having you
uninstall OE and reinstall it.
Good luck.
Denny

[JAWS-Users] Re: TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT

2007-03-07 Thread Patricia

I've seen that before not in compacting though..
I think I just either alt tab around that or alt f4 on it.
I think it happened once when I closed OE too fast when I had sent out an
email come to think..
How do you go about compacting?
There's through alt F, then folders, then compact all folders. Or through
tools/options to the maintance page.

Usually when it's time OE will tell you it needs to do it and ask you if you
want to compact now. Depending on how many depends on how long it will take
and I just let it do it and when it's done I'm right back where I was when
it started usually in my inbox.

2007-03-07 Thread Flor Lynch

Have you closed, then rebooted? Looked in your System Tray while outlook
Express is running to see if anything suspicious is in there? Can you do a
mass deletion of messages you don't need in outlook Express? It's possible
there's a corrupt folder.

[JAWS-Users] Re: TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT

2007-03-05 Thread Patricia

Do you want to compact or not it was unclear here..
if you want to just do it when it prompts you and wait till it's done, or
just should be able to tab to a cancel button?

It's just way to free up disk space, I've never had any trouble doing it.
