Try pasting the file name I already gave you in the run dialog box and see if it brings up outlook express or not. If and I do believe it will you could use it to create a desktop icon. [JAWS-Users] Re: outlook express
Patty, Outlook Express is a component of Internet Explorer and not of Office. Microsoft Outlook is the email component of Office and is remarkably different from Outlook Express. What you might want to try doing is to open Internet Explorer, bring up the Tools menu and select options. Once in that multi-tab dialog move to the Programs tab and under email setting check the list to verify if Outlook Express has been installed with your version of IE. If it has highlight it and then hit the OK button as that will set Outlook Express as your default email client. If Outlook Express does not appear in the list then you'll need to download and install it from the Microsoft web site. And by the way, when you go to the Run item in the Start Menu you need to type in: MSIMN.EXE as that is the executable for Outlook Express. [JAWS-Users] Re: outlook express
Hi Patti, What happens when you press the start button, then P for programs, then O for Outlook Express? If my guess is right, Outlook Express does not have a sub-menu to it, so you would not find it in the Microsoft sub-menu, and it should be right after all the sub-menus. As David suggested, press the start menu key, press P for programs, then up arrow, and keep up arrowing until you get to the programs beginning with the letter O. Obviously, if you pass into the programs that start with the letter N, then obviously the Outlook Express shortcut has been removed from your start menu. I'll have to get back to you when I remember how to put that shortcut back in your start menu, but you can also do what David suggested, and see if running the program name he pointed out will start Outlook Express. If it does start up, all you have to do is put a shortcut icon on your desktop or start menu, which ever you prefer, and you're good to go. Let us know what happens. [JAWS-Users] Re: Outlook Express question
Tammy, Are those folders that were moved to the Deleted Items folder empty? If not you may want to clean them out first. Also, under the FILE pull down menu in the main Outlook Express screen there is a Folders item, select that and follow the dialog so you can rid yourself of those deleted folders. [JAWS-Users] Re: Outlook Express question
When that particular dialog comes up,just press enter and it will take care of it. However,if you just want to compact on your own, press alt-F for the file menu, f for the folder menu, then f for compact all folders. Or, you can just tell it to compact only one, but I do them all. - Original Message - From: VICTORIA VAUGHAN [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@googlegroups.com Sent: Sunday, February 18, 2007 3:31 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Re: Outlook Express question Hi, Every so often when I close Outlook Express, it asks me if I want to compact, but what is the command to tell it to do it?
