This one sounds like a question for Freedom Scientific - or your local JAWS

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Changing JFW serial numbers on a windows XP
procomputer

Since I am using my own computer at work, and we have gone to windows
XP pro, I would like to change from my personally licensed JFW to the
office licensed copy. But I can't make my personal serial number
disappear in order to transfer to the new license.

How can a person do this

Much thanks,

When I have the same problem, I tend to play the song or movie manually by
using another program. After I do that, the box pops up again. Make sure
when it does, and you select whichever program you want, uncheck make player

Every time I put in a CD to play, Windows Media Player always pops up and

How can I get that dialogue box to pop up again and stop WMP from

Did you try removing your authorization from the Jaws tools?
Also, I'm not sure what kind of security your office has on your computer,

Re: [JAWS-Users] I'll try this again--Problem deletingmultiple addresses when forwarding an email message

2008-06-26 Thread Arianna Calesso
Yep, Mike. I'm basically doing it the same way you are. The interesting
thing about this is that in most forwarded emails it works, but there are
some where it just won't delete these darned addresses!

A student of mine brought it to my attention and I told her I'd never had
the problem. However, I did have the problem this past weekend and when I
went to work with another student he also had the same situation on a couple
of emails.

It's a mystery, puzzling! I don't know if it has to do with what email
program they use or could it be that they're using Vista?

This is why I'm wondering if anyone else has experiencing this.

Hi Arianna,

I believe I am doing the same thing you are doing and that is I control plus
f to forward, then fill in to whom I'm forwarding to, then tab to the
subject line and delete all the FW's, then tab to the edit field, then arrow
down past all the links and go to the subject line closest to the message,
then press the home/7 key to go to the beginning of the line, then press
control, shift, plus home/7 ke to select from the subject line to the top of
the email , and press delete. If you are doing these same steps also there
shouldn't be a problem and if there is a problem I don't have a clue as to
what it might be. I am sorry if I wasn't able to help but I'm sure someone
will come up with a cure to your problem. Take care.

Mike

Is anyone else having the problem of not being able to delete those annoying
addresses at the top of messages that you want to forward? When I select
them
JAWS says selected, but when I press delete nothing happens. This happens
on boty my computers--one using JAWS 8 and the other JAWS 9.

Is there a solution other than copying and pasting the message into a new
email?

2008-06-26 Thread James Scholes
Hi,

Donnie Parrett wrote: How do I make Winamp my default player. Right now Reel

There are a couple of ways to do this. 1 is to go into the Winamp preferences,
and check all of the boxes under the file types page. Or, for every file type
you want Winamp to play, go into the properties of a file of that type and set
it to open with Winamp. Finally, uncheck all of the file type options in Real
Player, or uninstall it.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Winamp As My Default Player

2008-06-26 Thread Denny Huff
Donnie,

Highlight an mp3 file and then press your applications key.
Arrow up to properties or type the letter r.
Shift tab one time to, open with.
Find Winamp in the list.
Tab to, always use this program to open this type of file and check it.
Tab to OK.
If you have wave files you may want to do the same.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Windows Media Player Question

Every time I put in a CD to play, Windows Media Player always pops up and
 automatically starts
playing the CD. I used to have a dialogue box pop up and give me choices
of what to do with the CD.
How can I get that dialogue box to pop up again and stop WMP from
 automatically starting? Thanks

Re: [JAWS-Users] Changing JFW serial numbers on a windows XP pro computer

2008-06-26 Thread Alex Stone
Ben, I don't think it will. It's a while since I've done this, but I have a
feeling that the last authorisation number is kept in the registry, and not
removed on an uninstall, so it'll use the same authorisation number unless
you remove it through the tools menu.
Cheers
Alex

[JAWS-Users] outlook 2003 problemoutlook 2003 problem

2008-06-26 Thread Linda Parent
Hi,

I have outlook 2003 and I have a message with an attachment. When I press
insert a, it does not open the attachment. My email message said to open
the attachment using ms word but I don't know what they mean since the
attachment is in an outlook email. Going through the outlook menus, I did
see save attachments but I'm not sure what that does. I tried it and it
just opened a word blank document.

Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook 2003 problem outlook 2003 problem

2008-06-26 Thread Russell J. Thomas, Jr
Let me try!

Maybe it's just me, but in JAWS9, the insert A feature doesn't seem to work.

To be sure there are no attachments, hit the save attachment button on the
menu. If there are no attachments, JAWS should say there are no
attachments in this message.

The only other thing I can think of right now, is that perhaps Outlook is
minimized; that could impact what JAWS is trying to tell you.

Respectfully,

Subject: [JAWS-Users] outlook 2003 problemoutlook 2003 problem
