Insert plus shift plus R does work correctly in JAWS nine. The message
has to be open and the To field will have the persons name in it.

I just sent David an email using the email he sent to the list.

Insert+shift+R is the reply privately key stroke. Control+shift+R is
an outlook express command to reply to all.

While I agree that the subject line should be as clear as possible for

2008-12-11 Thread Victor

Hi Kimmer,

Once you open a new message, or reply to any message, go to the view menu
with alt+V, then arrow down to all headers and press enter.

From that point on, the BCC: field will be displayed.

While I agree that the subject line should be as clear as possible for
something as short as how to enable the BCC field we can let it go. There
are 5 moderators on here at the present time, let us do our job.

Hi,
This can only be done in Jaws version 10. FS training modules are a good
way to learn about this topic. This info is on the installation CD and
also in the Jaws Window under training within the Help menu.

I guess the version 8 doesn't work for 9 the jaws key-shift-R?

Hi, Kimmer. Here's what you do.

1. When you go to outlook express, hit control N as if to type a new
message.
2. Hit alt B. Then tab until you hear the BCC field. If you hear it, you
know you've successfully enabled it.

neither one of these programs appear to aford easy access to play a dvd

any of you have any tips and/or tricks for the above mentioned apps or

2008-12-11 Thread Marilyn Walker
Elaine, I'm not sure how you got to those four buttons without having
completed the installation and setup which includes accepting the license
agreement. So maybe you have done that in which case you are good to go.

Re: [JAWS-Users] dictionary manager back up

2008-12-11 Thread Flor Lynch
Do a Windows Find Files and Folders, enter on all files folders button,
and type Default.JDF . Copy it to the clipboard and paste it somewhere
safe.

There are many other application .jdf (JAWS Dictionary files) which you will
find if you instead use *.jdf in the Find Files and Folders dialogue. You
could also get to know the locations of the default.jdf and other .jdf files
there.

I didn't mention till now the JAWS merge utility, which will merge all your
personal and special JAWS settings- more than your .jdf's - into your new
JAWS. You would use the JAWS merge utility from that version, and choose
your older JAWS to merge from from the dialogue.

Others with a scripting knowledge may have more elegant solutions.

[JAWS-Users] Tried installing jaws 10

2008-12-11 Thread Doug Leavens
Thinks I don't have an activation.
So, uninstalled and went back to jaws 9.
However, I lost the desktop icon for jfw 9.
Fortunately, it's in my system tray, and starts up automatically at boot up.
How can I get the shortcut icon back on desktop.
Going to start menu programs jaws 9, jaws and kicking the context menu throws
me right back to the

Try shift+F10 when you get to JAWS, and when you get to send-to submenu,

I guess the version 8 doesn't work for 9 the jaws key-shift-R?

Hardware changes can affect your Windows activations. If you really can't
get the serial number, there's two things. One is to scan the serial
number in and do an OCR, or two get sighted assistance. Thankfully, if you
have a Vista DVD you can install it without a product key and run Vista
for up to 30 (30) days so you can purchase a product key later on, as well
as affectively trialling Vista. This goes for all versions. Sorry I can't
offer any more help, and hope Windows doesn't lock out on you.

How many days do you have left? I think it's 3. Also, what version of
Windows are you using? Because on one of them you just won't be able to
log in, simple as. The other you can log in but functionality will be
severely limited.
