1. Select the range you want to copy. 2. To do this hit control G, the beginning cells, colon, and then the ending cells. 3. You will then be in this selected range, then use your copy and paste method, this should do the trick. If you need any more help, email me off list and I will send you the tutorials that I have. Based on the fact that we use to run a group together, you should have my email address. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Reese Sent: Thursday, March 19, 2009 6:54 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] copying and pasting within exell Hi list: How do you copy and paste cells within excel 2007? [JAWS-Users] JAWS & Superscript
I would appreciate it if someone would read the devotional below and let me know if you are having the same problem that I am having. It seems to be that everywhere there is an apostrophe, JAWS is saying the word "superscript." I would love to know how to stop JAWS from doing that. Thanks for your help. Here is the devotional. Daily E-Votional Thursday, Mar. 19 John 8:21-32 I am continually reminded of the power of a Christian community. Especially at the time of loss, one¹s community of faith help the heartbroken find their way thru the difficult time. Personally, I don¹t know what I would have done without my faith or my community of faith in all of the things I¹ve been thru in life. I think that my children have learned the same thing. The Christian community becomes the support we need to hold us up when it feels like we have nothing left to give. The Christian community just falls into action and is ready to step up and do their part when they see a brother or sister hurting. It may be through the gift of meals or just spending time listening. It doesn¹t take years of college or special degrees to act in love toward those who are hurting. Today and tomorrow I will be officiating at two services of witness to the resurrection. As I watch the love of the congregation spill over and around those who are hurting, it just makes me proud of the community of faith. > 23 Jesus said, ³You¹re tied down to the mundane; I¹m in touch with what is > beyond your horizons. You live in terms of what you see and touch. I¹m > living > on other terms. 24 I told you that you were missing God in all this. > You¹re at > a dead end. If you won¹t believe I am who I say I am, you¹re at the dead > end > of sins. You¹re missing God in your lives.² For some, maybe most, seeing is believing. If there is not hard and fast proof, it is difficult to wrap our heads around what is and what isn¹t. The disciples were confused with the messages Jesus was giving. Some of it sounded so out there; outside of their own experiences. Two thousand years later, we are still a people who want hard and fast evidence. When have you been in a very rough place in life? Who were the people who stayed in touch with you? What are some of the things they did to try to make you feel better? When have you been overwhelmed with the care that others have given you? When have you witnessed a friend being in need? What sort of ways did you try to comfort them? Who are some people you know who are in need of your support this day? Have a day! I'm hearing this superscript thing too. Apostrophe's and quotes sometimes get mangled in the JAWS translation. I don't know how to fix this particular problem, sorry. 23 Jesus said, ³You¹re tied down to the mundane; I¹m in touch with what is beyond your horizons. You live in terms of what you see and touch. I¹m living on other terms. 24 I told you that you were missing God in all this. You¹re at a dead end. If you won¹t believe I am who I say I am, you¹re at the dead end of sins. Have a day! Hi Donny, It's saying it here also, but I think Jaws is reading it as a number 1, as in a footnote character, not as an apostrophe. Did you type the apostrophe at that spot? Re: [JAWS-Users] "the video intercept manager dot dot dot"
Hi, That is a program that "hooks" into your computer display drivers and gives jaws information about what's on your screen. If you remove it, which I don't think it is even possible to do unless your jaws got corrupted, your jaws will stop functioning entirely. If you did succeed in removing it and wanted to reinstall, you would need to reinstall jaws or if you still have a version that can repair, repair jaws. Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook express problems, replying or writing a mail
Hiya I have had something similar to what Chrissie is describing. I'm also 100% positive I don't have any viruses. what I've done is to save the message by hitting ctrl S. close the email completely then reopen it from the drafts folder. When jaws does this trick, it will read the to, from, subject lines but not read the body of the email. it doesn't even say blank, it's like jaws isn't there. very weird. but with me, this problem doesn't happen all the time. it's totally random. Thanks Elaine - Original Message - From: "Rogelio Terrazas" To: Sent: Sunday, March 08, 2009 5:08 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook express problems, replying or writing a mail Going to what I told you before, I forgot I did delete the file that carried the virus before I ran the restore. Alternately, you can try to repair your Jaws in case it is the program. You can do that by hitting the installation, and you'll get to the selection where it'll ask you, if you want to modify, repair, or I think reinstall. Just hit the repair. Oh yeah, you can use third party programs. I have a few on my PAC Mate right now. You can also use the PAC Mate to control a computer running JAWS. I haven't played with this feature too much. Just a suggestion: On one of my other lists, several years ago we had this same problem. If I remember correctly, we determined that the poet was using a Mac without special software, and the rest of us were Windows XP users. Could this be the problem? Time flies like an arrow. I hope this helps you. - Original Message - From: "Donnie Parrett" To: "JAWS-Users" Sent: Thursday, March 19, 2009 11:11 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS & Superscript I would appreciate it if someone would read the devotional below and let me know if you are having the same problem that I am having. Have a day! For the Confirmation Group: If church people showed up at your house, would you be glad to see them or worried that they were going to do something weird? Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS & Superscript
I don't hear the superscript when I read this message. I am using the latest release of JAWS 10. My first thought was that it might not happen to me since my standard voice is the Karen Real Speak Solo Direct voice and I use a custom speech profile. But I changed the synthesizer and the speech scheme back to primary and Classic and it still did not say superscript. The only way I could get the message to improperly say superscript was to switch to JAWS 9, switch to the Eloquence synthesizer, and the Classic speech profile. I think the previous instructions on modifying the speech scheme has the best chance of success. 23 Jesus said, ³You¹re tied down to the mundane; I¹m in touch with what is beyond your horizons. You live in terms of what you see and touch. I¹m living on other terms. 24 I told you that you were missing God in all this. You¹re at a dead end. Yes, mine also says, "Super script". Funny, the only thing I can remember Jaws doing with the Apostrophe before, is to have called it "Single quote". I wonder what that was composed on? The character probably looks a bit like an apostrophe and might have been selected from a list of symbols by the author rather than from the keyboard. I am not familiar with the PDA keyboards to know if they have an apostrophe key. If composed on something like a smart phone one selects from a menu of symbols and that may have been the one the author selected because of it's appearance. - Original Message - From: "Mich" To: Sent: Thursday, March 19, 2009 11:33 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS & Superscript hi yes jaws is saying this at my end as well. from Mich. [JAWS-Users] driver updates
I just went to windows updates and found 6 hardware updates for my machine. There were some for my video card, sound card, printer drivers and processor. I selected all and left it install. When it restarted my system there was no sound. If my wife were not here I would have been in a big mess. When she came to look there was a screen about freedom scientific video intercept. There was a place for her to install. After a long time it finally restarted with sound. Even the windows startup music was missing. I am running xp home sp3, the newest build of jaws. After this I would not recommend video or sound driver updates without sighted assistance. --- Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous with many resources for the blind. http://www.geocities.com/lenny_mchugh/ Lenny Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com

Re: [JAWS-Users] Outlook Express Adding Addresses
Your friend should go to address book under tools and enter. It will tell that there is a list of addresses. She should enter. Then go back to the file menu and arrow down once to new contact and enter. She will then add the address. If she wants to add sender to her address book, she should return to tools and arrow to add sender and hit enter. marilyn Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com

Re: [JAWS-Users] driver updates
In most cases, you are better off going to the hardware mfg site and downloading the latest drivers. The approach I take is that if it's not broke, don't fix it. Of course, that philosophy does not apply to critical Windows updates. --- Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous with many resources for the blind. http://www.geocities.com/lenny_mchugh/ Lenny Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com

[JAWS-Users] changing from address in ms outlook?
hi list. I have a friend who has 2 email accounts. does anyone know how she can change the account that's being sent from whilst composing a mesage? in thunderbird I can just shift tab a few times and it will say from and give me a combo box to choose my email account. this doesn't seem to work in ms outlook. The only work around i can think of is to reply to a message that's from that acount, that's all well and good, but if you want to send a new mesage and there are no messages in you r in box it can be a problem. can anyone help? she is using office 2003 and jaws 8 thanks kind regards Maria and Karly Australia Skype id bubbygirl1972 msn bubbygirl1...@gmail.com looking for something to do? come join us on TAFN www.tafn.org.uk Wives? this one's for you check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/blindwivesclub or send a blank email to: blindwivesclub-subscr...@yahoogroups.com A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
