[JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer

2009-06-10 Thread ROGELIO TERRAZAS
I just noticed that the other version I thought I erased is still there, when I
hit internet. How do I set the one that says 64 bit as my default?

[JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer

2009-06-10 Thread ROGELIO TERRAZAS
I wanted to ask. I noticed that I had two different Internet Explorer in my
All Programs. One said 64 Bit and the other didn't. I opened both of them and
I noticed that the one I was using had some add-ons I installed and the other
didn't. I am using Vista 64 Bit with Jaws 10.0. I deleted the one that didn't
say 64. The thing is I deleted it with the application key. Internet does not
show up in the control panel. How can I make sure I deleted it correctly? I
am figuring that it was probably 32 Bit. Is that possible? Thanks any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I am in agreement with you. No matter if you are using JAWS or JAWS
with Jtunes, iTunes 8.2 has a lot of accessibility problems. Sticking with
version 8.1 is your best bet.

Hi. all
FYI For those who might wish to get the new iTunes, you might want to think
about not doing so.
In iTunes 8.1 if you wanted to see your songs, you could tab until you got
to the list and them use up or down arrow to read your list. jaws did nice
job reading each song and if you wanted you could press space bar to play or
stop.
In iTunes 8.2, you can no longer do so.
Now you need to tab to get to the list and you can no longer up or down
arrow. If you are in the list, pressing space bar will play a song. If you
want to go to the next, you need to tab to you get to the next button. Jaws
will not read the song title. You will need to do shift tab to go back to
the list or tab to be there. It is complicated now. I suggest keeping iTunes
8.1. It is to late for me, because I upgrated.

[JAWS-Users] Help with Spybot, which version to download?

2009-06-10 Thread Sherri
I went to the Jaws-Users page and downloaded SpyBot that calls itself Version
1, 6, 2, 0 when I check the version. There was also an auto-run or something
like that. I tried to download the Jaws scripts as well, but not sure which
ones to download. Any help would be appreciated. I am having significant
malware issues with my computer that I need to fix. I also have read the help
tutorial, but still am not sure how to deal with infected files. Any help would
be appreciated.

Switch is free but then it sort of becomes crippled in my opinion after a
while. You can try it to see if it does convert dvd stuff though. I'm not
sure about that.

I think you can also do such conversions with the switch program. You can
download a free version from nch software.

I thought I noticed that you said you were running Vista 64 bit. Could it
be that you need 64 bit versions of Java and the Java Access Bridge?

What this is telling you is that the basic java program is not updated on
your computer. Update the basic Java program first, then try to install
the

access bridge.

Be sure the "Automatically display folders with unread messages" is checked.

Re: [JAWS-Users] wireless router network problems

2009-06-10 Thread tim
Go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager. Arrow down to
network adaptors, and see if the wireless adaptor is listed.
Then check in admin tools, services and see if wireless0 is started,
if not start it.
if all that is good, see if wireless shows as a connection in the
list. if nothing shows then no adaptors are enabled.

restarted. The problem is when I go to controll panel and network
setting I am unable to open it to input wireless router settings. I
tried hitting the enter key, routing jaws to pc and doing a left
mouse click, and routing jaws to pc and right click to open network
connection. None of these atempts are successful. So, as for now I
have to use the ethernet cable to get to the internet. Any theories
and solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Converting DVD to MP3

2009-06-10 Thread Darrin Porter
Anne,

As has already been said, DVD audio extractor works very well and is JAWS
friendly. However, it does cost, I think, $39 or $49 to register. I have
tried several "free" programs, such as Advanced Audio Extractor, but found them
very JAWS unfriendly.

Note that you can download a fully functional trial version of DVD audio
extractor. I think that it works for one month. I did that and decided to buy
the license long before the month was over!
