Well I can confirm that Windows 7 so far is very polished compared to Vista.
Runs fast just like XP, but looks and behaves like Vista, with a few
enhancements and new features here and there, my favourites being the
ability to pin applications to the taskbar and jump lists, a feature
whereby when you right click on an application in the taskbar, you can, for
example, view recently visited web pages, recently opened files, change your
MSN status, etc. Hope this helps.

Hi Sarah,

It seems to be largely a matter of personal preference. Almost as much as
the PC versus Mac argument.

Personally, I have been very happy with Vista ever since SP1. There are a
lot of little enhancements that make things easier once you get adjusted.
The selling point for me are the vast improvements in networking. It is
more advanced and yet simpler to set up and use. It also has Media Server
capabilities that XP does not provide. Inn fact, Vista Home Basic may not
have this feature either. I like Vista Home Premium SP2, but Windows 7
addresses all of my annoyances. The bloated size and excessive required
resources have been my biggest complaints. Actually, excessive is mot the
right word, I am just excited that supposedly Windows 7 does more with less.
It is a polished Vista.

ssteps on how to use roxeo to copy and burn cd's and dvd's using roxeo
software. If you would like I can send them to you, just give me a holler.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Anyone using Roxio with JAWS?

Hello Friends,
I have Roxio installed on my XP-Home using JAWS 9.0.56

Anyone else using this program with JAWS, and is it at least somewhat usable
with JAWS?

Thanks for any comments!

Greetings Allen,
My name is Fred , and I hope I spelled your name right. Anyway, I
also use Roxeo EZ Media creator 10, and I personally feel that it is very
jaws friendly. You basicly have to use the tab key to navigate the
program.

I mostly use it to copy and burn dvd's but, I have also use it to copy and
burn cd's and music files on my computer. A few months ago I typed up some

[JAWS-Users] Subject on previous message, is read in following message.

2009-06-26 Thread Albert Cutolo

Good evening everyone.

Over the last few months or so, I have noticed a very strange behavior with
outlook express6, and I was wondering if their's a way to correct it. It
seems that when I open a message in my in box too read, after I delete it
and open the following or next message, the previous subject line of the
previous message is then readwhen I open the new message. I'm using jaws
10, with windows xp home addition with service pack 3. I even did a jaws
repair to see if that would fix the problem, but it was too no avail. If
anyone on the list has a suggestion, or advice on how too clear up this
behavior, Please let me know.

[JAWS-Users] Another problem that I noticed while using outlook express 6, and jaws 10.

2009-06-26 Thread Albert Cutolo

   Good evening everyone.

When I write a new message and then try too read it over before I send it
too the list, when I go to the top of the message document, and try too
read it back, when I do a control right arrow too read the message word by
word, nothing gets read at all. even when i arrow across caractor by
caracter, it won't read anything at all. This behavior happens, even when I
do a reply all message too the list. I then have too go out of the message,
and then rewrite the message over. When I do that, its fine, but I thought
that the new jaws 10, would have addressed this problem before they released
it.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Another word question

2009-06-26 Thread Dale Leavens
What I have done in situations like this is to select all (CTRL-A. Then go
to format ALT-O, you have several options here, you can format everything to
a specific font and size in the font selection, use the paragraph selection
to set paragraph formatting and so on.

Hope this helps and speeds things up for you.

I've run into a problem with formatting my friend's manuscript. The
paragraphs are all formatted in various styles, block text, indented,
normal, etc. I read the help file on styles and formatting, but can't seem
to get JAWS to read what I need so I can figure out how to place all the
text in the document in the same style. If anyone would be willing to
e-mail

me off-list with some help, I would appreciate it. I'm using Word 2003 and
JAWS 9. Thanks.

Vicki
