[JAWS-Users] Keystroke to go back to default voice rate
Hi Roger, Insert + Escape twice quickly isn't working here. Don't know what the problem might be. Thanks for the response. Follow the instructions I outlined earlier (see below) to remove ctrl alt I as the unwanted keystroke. If I understand your issue, you should be able to find the specific shortcut to your screen readers (jaws 10) on your desktop in XP. Locate it and alt enter to bring up properys. Tab down until you hear the shortcut key and backspace once. this will erase the keystroke. Re: [JAWS-Users] successful win 7 install, works well with jaws 10
I had help putting in the license and stuff it asks, right at the beginning. Then I just let it run its course. Then I got the jaws cd and just popped it in and went from there. I don't know if one can do this totally unassisted, I just always get it done with the initial launch of the installs, when someone is available to help with the numbers and stuff. There is a thing called unattended installs or at least used to be for xp, have never tried this though. This is what companies also use, when they have a lot of computers to install the same systems on, so they do not have to watch them all while installing is in progress. As far as clean installing, main thing is to make sure you have all your files saved before wiping the drives clean. And then have all drivers handy you may need. With win 7 I did not even need my additional windows 7 drivers, I had already downloaded prior. chrissy -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Gerald Levy Sent: Donnerstag, 22. Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws v11 and OE not reading text
Hey, I'm having some fun when using JAWS 11 with Windows Live Mail, not! The HTML features are very funky. For example, it may show nothing, or it may even show the lines of the program window, including toolbars! Has anyone else experienced this problem? I will report this to my JAWS dealer tomorrow or soon, but just want your thoughts first. Reading messages in plain text works, but I prefer reading in HTML. Re: [JAWS-Users] Sappy 5 engine not reading folder list in OE
Hello Burt, I don't use OE, but I use Jaws 8, 9 and 10 on different computers, with sappi 5 and outlook, MS Word, notepad and Kurzweil respectively and apart from on one pc where it keeps changing to sapi 5, a specific espeak voice when on the web with internet explorer, still version 6, even though the default is set to eloquence, I don't have that problem. It does however not change back to eloquence, or the other way round, when reading an html message in outlook. Could it perhaps be that your menu voice is still set to eloquence, while your pc voice is sappi 5?
