Hello all, does any one have tutorials on how to use Orcut with Jaws?
I would be grateful if you can share. Or else, guide me to obtain the
same.
Note: I am using Jaws10.
Thank you

Re: [JAWS-Users] please tell me all is not lost!

2010-01-08 Thread rich

I downloaded this utility and ran it.
But I have NO idea on how to use it.
I ran the scan and came up with about 100 thousand files.
I don't have a clue on how to open any of these.

Most importantly, I am trying to look for lost e mails on OE and it doesn't
seem simple to locate this.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

 Recuva can be found in
www.jaws-users.com
Programs
Under Utilities, item #60.

Not in your C Drive, Program Files as I assume you haven't install it
before.

Try recuva which can be found on the programs page. It is supposed to
work

in those kinds of situations.

Hi there. Somehow three of my files have been permanently deleted from
my
recycle bin, and that was because I wasn't listening to the
instructions,

but is there a way I can recover those files? please tell me there is.
I'm
wanting to know if there is a program which is jaws friendly that I
could

perhaps download and try and recover them back again. If not, then bad
luck
I guess. thanks your help would be much appreciated. Kimmie.

I have been using the release version of IE 8 with JAWS 9.0.2191U for the
past two months with no real problems. When I originally beta tested IE 8,
it had a lot of bugs and glitches which seem to have been resolved. The
only minor issue I have noticed using JAWS 9 with IE 8 is that the JAWS read
address bar command, Insert-A doesn't work. However, builds of JAWS 9 prior
to 2169U probably won't work with IE 8.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Create New folder

2010-01-08 Thread John Justice
I'd like to add something to Victoria's message. Before attempting to
locate that "New" option in the file list, you have to make sure that the
system isn't focused on any particular file. Once you are in the location
where you want the new file or folder to be, press F5. That takes the focus
away from any heading it might be targeted on. Now, press the Alt F and
usually, the first choice will be "New" and in most displays of this type,
the shortcut key will be a W.

As Rick always says, HTH.

Have you tried to create a new folder with:
Alt F followed by W. Then hit Enter and type the Name of your new folder
and hit Enter again.

That should do it.

Hello Shirley,

When you open the "save as" dialog box the edit box for typing a file
name is in focus. Do three shift+tabs and then three left arrow
keystrokes to get to the "create new folder" button. Press enter key or
spacebar on the button.

You can also get the new folder dialog by doing a pass-through keystroke
first (JAWS key plus 3 on the alphanumeric part of the keyboard) and then
the Alt+5.

Take care.

David, I would go to the place where the system was bought and exchange it
for a 32 bit system.

You might have to pay a exchange fee but it would be worth it, Steve.

Yes, maybe so but that is not why it is not working for him. I use 10 with
win 7 just fine. I am guessing he has a windows 7 64 bit version but his
jaws is 32 bit.
That is why it tells him it won't run.
Ps: Could you please reply above the quoted post and not underneath. Kinda
hard to find otherwise. I first thought you send a blank mail.

Good Morning,

I am now using JAWS 11 with Microsoft Word 2003 and am not able to create
a

folder as easily as in past JAWS.
I used to be able to hit ALT 5, but now when I hit that combo I get
message

stating "The requested header information was not found in this window."

Does anybody have any suggestions to creating new folder?

Your reply would be greatly appreciated.

All Jaws users ,
I am having a major problem with Jaws reading properly. Jaws is not
reading email messages once I enter into them through outlook express; I
am also noticing a problem on the internet when I go to homepage (Google)
it lands in the edit field and forms mode refuses to turn off using my
escape key and or the pc cursor. I also notice that on facebook it starts
reading everything at once when before it read line by line. I am able to
tab to different links on Google but unable to scroll down the page. this
only started happening after I sat a notebook accidentally on my number
pad. I have tried to look at the verbocity settings to see if something
got changed there I changed a couple of things but nothing seemed to help.
I also noticed that when the notebook was sat on the number pad it said PC
cursor off and something about the virtual cursor. I hope I have provided
enough information to diagnose this problem I am using JAWS 10 with XP
operating system on a Dell inspiron 1545 laptop with a Lunovo external
number pad. Please if anyone knows how to turn the PC cursor back on (
usually when I push the PC cursor it says PC cursor and returns from JAWS
cursor this is not happening) or you may know how to correct this problem
respond any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws 9 and IE8

2010-01-08 Thread Gerald Levy

I have been using the release version of IE 8 with JAWS 9.0.2191U for the
past two months with no real problems. When I originally beta tested IE 8,
it had a lot of bugs and glitches which seem to have been resolved. The
only minor issue I have noticed using JAWS 9 with IE 8 is that the JAWS read
address bar command, Insert-A doesn't work. However, builds of JAWS 9 prior
to 2169U probably won't work with IE 8.

Hello Shirley,

When you open the "save as" dialog box the edit box for typing a file name
is in focus. Do three shift+tabs and then three left arrow keystrokes to
get to the "create new folder" button. Press enter key or spacebar on the
button.

You can also get the new folder dialog by doing a pass-through keystroke
first (JAWS key plus 3 on the alphanumeric part of the keyboard) and then
the Alt+5.

Take care.
