[JAWS-Users] Those Darn Pesky Checkboxes in Webpages

2010-02-16 Thread Scorpio Forever
Does anyone know if FS has found a solution or released an update that
addresses Jaws crashing on web pages where one is required to interact with
checkbox forms on a page, particularly on the Yahoo web-mail interface?

I have found if you bring the number of messages to display to around 25, I
don't believe that Jaws crashes, but it's quite the pain to have to read my
headers 25 at a time, especially when one has around 800 messages to sift
through per day.

If anyone knows anything about this problem, and what I can do to resolve it,
your ideas would be very much welcome, but if you're just going to tell me to
reduce the number of messages to 25, then sorry, but that ain't funny. Smile.

Hi Friends,
I recently had to reformat my hard drive and found I didn't have a back up
for my Sappy voice, Tom. I also don't remember where I got it from. Would
anybody know where it can be gotten from? Any help in finding it would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help,

Howdy Folks;

My sister is running Vista Home Premium and is wanting to know what the
keystroke is for bringing up the symbols list and also, if there is a list
of symbols like for the little heart smiley face symbols that can be
accessed via a keystroke or where they can be accessed if there isn't a
keystroke for them. She will appreciate it very much if you good people
can

help her out. She tried using the Insert + 4 on the number row keystroke
like in XP with no success. Thank you all very much. Take care.

2010-02-16 Thread Ann M. Medlar
I just went into my music folder and highlighted different songs in MP3 and
pressed insert+tab and got duration in minutes for most songs. You need to
know how long your CD is meaning is it 60 minutes or whatever. If average
song is about 4 minutes then maybe 14 songs for a CD. I know there must be
a way to do this and if I figure it out I'll pass it on.

Hi Kimsan,

Here is some information from a document I put together on the subject of using
a auto reply in Outlook 2007. The information is from a Word 2007 document and
has a table of contents at the beginning. Each entry in the table of contents
is a link.

Contents

CREATING AN AUTO-REPLY IN OUTLOOK 20072

Creating a new template 2

Creating a rule to automatically reply to new e-mail messages 2

Turn off automatic replies3

Send an e-mail message based on a template 3

Notes to consider 3

CREATING AN AUTO-REPLY IN OUTLOOK 2007

Creating a new template

1. Press CTRL+N to start a new message.

2. If you are using HTML formatting then press Alt followed by P followed by L
to change to plain text formatting. If you are not sure of the current
formatting then use alt followed by P and then use tab key across the lower
part of the ribbon. The choice for plain text should be checked. If it is not
then use enter on the choice to make it active.

3. Move focus to the message body and type the message that will be sent as the
automatic reply to incoming mail messages.

4. Make sure the signature at the bottom of the message is the one you want to
use. If you have more than one signature created and the one in the message is
not the one you want to use then move focus to the signature part of the
message. Press the application key and use up and down arrow keys to find the
signature you want used and press enter key.

5. Press F12 to bring up the “save as” dialog.

6. In the file name edit control type a name for the template. Use a name that
will let you know the purpose of the template. You might consider naming the
template “Auto Reply.”

7. Use tab key to move focus to the “files of type” box and use down arrow key
to the choice for Outlook template *.oft.

8. Use tab key to the save button and press spacebar or enter key.

Creating a rule to automatically reply to new e-mail messages

1. Press Alt+T to open the tools menu and then use down arrow key to the “rules
and alerts” menu choice and press enter key.

2. Press the enter key on the “new rule” button.

3. Use down arrow key and find the “check messages when they arrive” choice and
then tab to the “next” button and press enter key.

4. In the list where you select conditions use down arrow key to the “sent only
to me” choice and check it by using spacebar. Check other items in the list
that you might also want to be conditions. For example, if you check the
choice for “received in a specific date span” then you can specify the period
of time that the template should be effective. If you check choices in
addition to the “sent only to me” choice then you will need to tab to the “edit
the rule description” choices and use spacebar on the various choices for which
you need to set conditions.

When you are done checking conditions tab to the “next” button and press enter
key.

5. If you only used one condition (the “sent only to me” condition) then you
might get a dialog box that tells you that the rule will be applied to every
message you receive. Answer “yes.”

6. The “what do you want to do with the message” dialog will appear. Use down
arrow key to the “reply using a specific template” checkbox and use spacebar to
check it.

7. Tab to step 2 for editing the rule description and use up or down arrow keys
to the choice for replying using a specific template. Press enter key.

8. In the look-in edit combo box use down arrow key to the user Templates in
file system choice.

9. Tab three times to the list of templates. Use arrow keys if necessary to
find the template you created for auto replying and then tab to the open button
and press spacebar.

10. Tab to the “Next” button and press spacebar.

11. You will then get a list of conditions that you can set as exceptions if
you want to. Tab to the next button and press spacebar.

12. Type a name for the auto-reply rule or leave the one that is already
showing in the “specify a name for this rule” edit box.

13. Tab to the “finish” button and press spacebar.

14. Tab to the OK button and press spacebar.

Turn off automatic replies

To turn off the rule you created in step 2 above, do the following:

1. Open the “rules and alerts” menu choice in the tools menu.

2. Use tab key until you find the list of rules. Use up or down arrow keys to
find the one you created and then spacebar to remove the checkmark. You can
use tab key in this dialog to the “delete” button and press spacebar to delete
the selected rule.

3. Answer prompts or warnings.

Send an e-mail message based on a template

1.Use Alt+T to brin up the tools menu.

2.2. Use down arrow to the “forms” menu, right arrow into the submenu and
press enter on the “choose form” menu choice.

3.In the “look in” edit combo box of the “choose form” dialog use down
arrow to the “user templates in file system” choice.

that you might also want to be conditions.

You can
use tab

2010-02-16 Thread Brian Lee
Hi Kimsan,

I think it might be because I replied to a message sent in plain text. When I
sent it later to myself as a new HTML message, the links were as they were
created in Word 2007. Let me know off list if you want me to send it as an
attached Word file.

Take care.

In the table of contents there is no indication of any links.
I will just read through this email and bookmark what I'm interested in.
Thank you.
