[JAWS-Users] Those Darn Pesky Checkboxes in Webpages
Does anyone know if FS has found a solution or released an update that addresses Jaws crashing on web pages where one is required to interact with checkbox forms on a page, particularly on the Yahoo web-mail interface? I have found if you bring the number of messages to display to around 25, I don't believe that Jaws crashes, but it's quite the pain to have to read my headers 25 at a time, especially when one has around 800 messages to sift through per day. If anyone knows anything about this problem, and what I can do to resolve it, your ideas would be very much welcome, but if you're just going to tell me to reduce the number of messages to 25, then sorry, but that ain't funny. Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Media question
I just went into my music folder and highlighted different songs in MP3 and pressed insert+tab and got duration in minutes for most songs. You need to know how long your CD is meaning is it 60 minutes or whatever. If average song is about 4 minutes then maybe 14 songs for a CD. Hi Kimsan, Here is some information from a document I put together on the subject of using a auto reply in Outlook 2007. The information is from a Word 2007 document and has a table of contents at the beginning. Each entry in the table of contents is a link. Press CTRL+N to start a new message. 2. If you are using HTML formatting then press Alt followed by P followed by L to change to plain text formatting. If you are not sure of the current formatting then use alt followed by P and then use tab key across the lower part of the ribbon. The choice for plain text should be checked. If it is not then use enter on the choice to make it active. 3. Move focus to the message body and type the message that will be sent as the automatic reply to incoming mail messages. 4. Make sure the signature at the bottom of the message is the one you want to use. If you have more than one signature created and the one in the message is not the one you want to use then move focus to the signature part of the message. Re: [JAWS-Users] audoreply
Hi Kimsan, I think it might be because I replied to a message sent in plain text. When I sent it later to myself as a new HTML message, the links were as they were created in Word 2007. Let me know off list if you want me to send it as an attached Word file. Take care. I will just read through this email and bookmark what I'm interested in. Thank you. The information is from a Word 2007 document and has a table of contents at the beginning. Each entry in the table of contents is a link. Contents CREATING AN AUTO-REPLY IN OUTLOOK 20072 Creating a new template 2 Creating a rule to automatically reply to new e-mail messages 2 Turn off automatic replies3 Send an e-mail message based on a template 3 Notes to consider 3 CREATING AN AUTO-REPLY IN OUTLOOK 2007 Creating a new template 1. Press the application key and use up and down arrow keys to find the signature you want used and press enter key. 5. Press F12 to bring up the “save as” dialog. 6. In the file name edit control type a name for the template. Use a name that will let you know the purpose of the template. You might consider naming the template “Auto Reply.” 7. Use tab key to move focus to the “files of type” box and use down arrow key to the choice for Outlook template *.oft. 8. Use tab key to the save button and press spacebar or enter key. Creating a rule to automatically reply to new e-mail messages 1. Press Alt+T to open the tools menu and then use down arrow key to the “rules and alerts” menu choice and press enter key. 2. Press the enter key on the “new rule” button. 3. Use down arrow key and find the “check messages when they arrive” choice and then tab to the “next” button and press enter key. 4. In the list where you select conditions use down arrow key to the “sent only to me” choice and check it by using spacebar. Check other items in the list that you might also want to be conditions. For example, if you check the choice for “received in a specific date span” then you can specify the period of time that the template should be effective. If you check choices in addition to the “sent only to me” choice then you will need to tab to the “edit the rule description” choices and use spacebar on the various choices for which you need to set conditions. When you are done checking conditions tab to the “next” button and press enter key. 5. If you only used one condition (the “sent only to me” condition) then you might get a dialog box that tells you that the rule will be applied to every message you receive. Answer “yes.” 6. The “what do you want to do with the message” dialog will appear. Use down arrow key to the “reply using a specific template” checkbox and use spacebar to check it. 7. Tab to step 2 for editing the rule description and use up or down arrow keys to the choice for replying using a specific template. Press enter key. 8. In the look-in edit combo box use down arrow key to the user Templates in file system choice. 9. Tab three times to the list of templates. Use arrow keys if necessary to find the template you created for auto replying and then tab to the open button and press spacebar. 10. Tab to the “Next” button and press spacebar. 11. You will then get a list of conditions that you can set as exceptions if you want to. Tab to the next button and press spacebar.
