What edition of Windows 7 are you using? If you are using Starter, you need to do it through Display, otherwise you do it through Personalization. Are you aware of any such document or procedure steps I could use on Windows 7? I ask because I just don't like all the graphical intense user interface and life is lot easier with non graphical text based classic interfaces while using Jaws. Besides Microsoft likes to thrust all these changes with each new version of the OS that are more and more geared towards the sighted user. thx! Hi Karen; Thank you so much for your help. Apparently because I am using the Windows Pictures and Fax Viewer I don't get the file menu choices you are getting. I get nothing when I open the view menu using Jaws 10 or 11. I do get the zoom in & zoom out choices if I press the applications key to open the context menu. Thanks again for your help. Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] making JAWS sing?
Lol, as I said, "just kidding". I am a professional in the AT field myself and do find this list very helpful and not one email that comes through is a waste of time. I think we can benefit from all posts, which I did with the jaws singing one. It was entertaining and was needed after a long work week. Have a great day. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of angel...@sbcglobal.net Sent: Friday, May 28, 2010 1:45 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] making JAWS sing? many belong to these lists to gain useful information. Re: [JAWS-Users] Viewing Pictures
Hi Karen; Thank you very much for your response. When I press enter on the picture that my wife wants to see, then when I invoke the Alt + V keystroke Jaws reads nothing at all, and in turn when I down arrow nothing is being read by Jaws. Is your operating system XPSP3 also? If so, does Jaws read anything to you when you invoke the Alt + V keystroke in an open picture file and arrow down? If Jaws does read something to you when using the Alt + V keystroke, would you please inform me as to what is being read? Again, thank you very much. Your help is appreciated giinormously! Take care.
