Last I tried, it didn't work worth anything. It kind a almost worked with window-eyes, but the problem was I couldn't fill out any forms on web pages accessibly. As for jfw though, I'd say it's at this time, last I checked anyway, a complete no go, no show. [JAWS-Users] Cannot currently connect to facebook chat in aim
Is anyone else having this problem? I cannot connect fo facebook with aim 7.2. I tried to upgrade to aim 7.3 hoping to solve the problem but it did not. I pressed the alt key and found one that says Reconnect to facebook chat, typed my facebook user name and password. Sometimes, it says that it cannot connect to facebook due to some problems. At other times, I get the 502 error code. What should I do? Is there another way to use facebook chat with JAWS or NVDA without going to their website if ever this problem would not be solved? Hi Chris. If you're running on a Windows 7, 64 bit edition, you can't install the sapi 4 engine, that should make it possible to use the sapi 4 speech synthizis. I don't know, whether Microsoft will release a new version of the sapi 4 engine for use on Win 7 64 bit systems. Temporary you must take advantage of the sapi 5 synthizis that is available. Hi Chris. I don't know anything about Window Eyes, but probably they have included their own sapi 4 engine in their program, to support speech output with sapi 4 speech synthizis, since you have experienced this fact. I didn't think about that a second ago. Yes, they are properly installed as some programs that use them to self voice work fine, and even w e sees them and works fine with them. I'd really like to get them working in jfw, but it seems the sapi4 detect is broken. Am I missing something here? I installed the microsoft text to speech that comes with Altair for windows, and I also installed i b m viavoice from compuconference. Again all these synths are working fine in w e, but not in jfw. I don't get it. What did I do wrong, if anything? Chris. [JAWS-Users] Need info
Hi, I have looked in Jaws 11 Help, but have not found anything on using the Sappi voices or on using iTunes with Jaws 11. I had hoped to find info for working with iTunes under Popular Applications, but no go. Can anyone point me to any Jaws help with these 2 matters? I am using the latest Jaws and Windows XP. Any help will be gratefully received and acted upon! Vicky For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
