[JAWS-Users] Considering leaving
Hello all. I am considering to leave this list by the new year. The reason is I am no longer a JAWS user; I use a screen reader beginning with n as my primary and only screen reader both on my laptop and netbook. Plus, my SMA for JAWS has expired and I not only can't afford the upgrade; I don't need to either. It's been a great list. I hope my contributions has helped. I wish you all the best in your use of JAWS now and in the future. I'm sorry, there's just reasons I don't wish to go into here as to why I blatently refuse to use JAWS on my machines. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. -- Chris Hallsworth You can contact me at the following channels: E-mail and Facebook: challswor...@sky.com MSN: ch9...@hotmail.com Skype: chrishallsworth7266 Twitter: http://twitter.com/christopherh40 For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

*grin* and not without cause. Just thought that pointing out your personal interst and involvement makes things a little more objective. and Mr. Tekkie Dave is the tech captain on the good ship vippconduit and has a good and capable hand at the helm - just as the tekkies on the other sites do on theirs, i am sure. Any of these chat sites for the blind are great places to make friends, find support and also learn a lot about technology and other things. the vip as well as the other chat sites offer tech related events and classes on different subjects. and while we are talking about tech events and classes on the different chat sites, while not primarily a chat site, Accessible World at http://www.accessibleworld.org/ hosts regular tech and other events. It also uses the tc5 chat client. Keep on chatting, enjoying and helping each other! Doris At 04:07 PM 12/20/2010, you wrote: Nothing gets past you, we're quite proud of the site. Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows hot keys?
Hi, I could not remember the hot key for Narrator which is windows+u, so I decided to type Windows+a, Windows+b... Windows+z. Well windows+l does something but don't know what and I lost Jaws and had to reboot. Does anyone know what this key does? Also, I think windows+n or maybe it was Windows+p but my printer made some noise. Anyone know these key combos or where to get them? Thanks, Ann For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

However, you can use the Find feature to quickly locate the text. To do this, press CTRL-F to display the Find panel on the left side of the Word window. Type the text or phrase you're trying to locate in the text box and press ENTER. Keep pressing ENTER to work through the text Word finds until you reach the data you're looking for.
