Re: [JAWS-Users] Saving Outlook Attachments

2012-06-07 Thread Brian Lee
Hello Annette,

Here is another method you might consider trying. After using the OK button
in the first dialog box, use Alt with D to move to the address bar. Use tab
three times to the tree view of folders. Expand the folders in the tree
view using right arrow key or collapse them using left arrow key. Browse
the tree structure until the folder you want to save the attachments in is
selected. If it can be expanded press right arrow key. Press enter key to
make sure it is selected. Use Alt+S to save the file instead of tabbing to
the save button.

Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Saving Outlook Attachments

Hi All,

I am using JAWS 12, MS-Office 2010 Outlook on a Windows 7 machine. When I
want to save an attachment from an Outlook message I am having trouble
getting the attachment to be saved in a specific folder. I've confirmed
that the file is saving as I can search for it and find it, but it is not
ending up where I want it. Here is what I am doing:

. Highlight the message with the attachment in my Inbox. I do not
open the message.

. Use Alt+F to open the File menu and down arrow to save
attachments.

. A dialog box opens and I tab to OK and press Enter. This dialog
box might only come up when I am saving multiple attachments from the same
message all at once.

. I use Shift+Tab 2 or 3 times to get to my folder list .

. I use the up and down arrows to find the folder I want to put the
attachment into, and press enter.

. Tab to Save and press enter.

Am I missing a step? How do I confirm that I have opened the folder where I
want to put the attachments before I activate the save button?

Thanks,

Annette

Here are detailed instructions for turning off the Autonumbering feature
in

Word 2010.

1.Press Alt H to access the Home option on the ribbon.

2. Down arrow to Paragraph and then press right arrow.

3. Down arrow again until you come to Numbers.

4. Right arrow to access the options. The top choice is none. Make
sure you are focused on that option and press Enter

5. You may need to press Escape several times to get off of the
ribbon

menus.

I tried this several times to make sure that it is correct.

Hi Janie and Trish,
You need to go to the JAWS-USERS website to unsubscribe. I think that's
the answer to your request.

There is no way to go from reading about a book, to downloading it in one
click. You have to purchase the book first, then go to your library and
download it.

If you are reading through a list of books, say from a search, there is an
"add to cart" button that you can click on. If you want to know more
about that particular book, click on the title then search for the word
summary and you should get to the publishers summary.

If you want to hop through a list of books more quickly, say after you
have done a search, then you can maybe do a search on the word play, which
jumps you to the next book and places you on the play button for the
sample. That is how I do it, but to each his own.

Once you get to your library, it is pretty simple to use the JAWS table
navigation keys to move through the list of books and download.

I see that you have already subscribed to the blind audible listeners
list, so feel fre to ask any questions you wish there, and you will
certainly get lots of help.
