The keyboard is a "Dell" and is cordless and has a compatible mouse for a
desk top.
My sighted wife could find no mode key.
Again, after my wife reset the mouse in the afternoon, I started having
problems that evening.

Could there be a problem with a driver?? Whatever a driver is.

You might look for a function key and press it to see if things might
change for the better.
Every once in a while I inadvertently press the function key, and my
keys don't work as they should till I press the function key again.

Good luck.

Just wanted to let you know that Bob and I have past the 7 year mark of
doing this list. Rick has been with us for around 6 and a half years.
Moving forward we're planning on continuing at this time.

We're entering in to year number 8 with at this writing 641 subscribers. I
must say that except for some minor issues I am pleased with the orderly
manner everybody conducts themselves on here. That is probably the biggest
reason we're still doing it, thanks guys for your help and to all that
make this a productive environment.

Yes, there is.

You use the trim command in Goldwave.

1. Put a start marker just prior to the point in the file where you want to
start saving by putting a left bracket.

2. Go to the end of the file. You can hit the end key to do this.

3. Rewind for the one second by pressing f5, and then pause with f7 at the
point where you have the end of the file.

4. Press the right bracket to set the finish marker at that point.

5. Press control-T which is the Trim command. This will delete the parts
of the file that are outside of where the start and finish markers are, in
this case, the one second at the beginning and the one second at the end.

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

After all else, You may need to download the Focus Blue Driver (FBD)
file from www.freedomscientific.com >, (even though FS say you don't
need it) - install it, and extract the setup.exe to your desktop. (It
needs to be run from your desktop, or else it won't install. It should

I hope fs can get to the botttom of this. I don't have the same problem, but
everytime either outlook 2010, or IE9 stops responding, Jaws will lock the
keyboard, and also stop responding. The only fix is to shut down the
computer. Even loading another screen doesn't help because Jaws will lock
the keyboard. I'm guessing this is a hard bug to track down because this
even ixests in 13 as well.

I have reported what I think is a similar issue to FS and they are working
on it. For me, it was the email from my utility company. It would crash
Outlook and unless you could get some sighted assistance to click on a
couple of boxes I pretty much had to shut down and reboot. So far, this is
the only message I have had trouble with.
Every email from them consistently reproduces the same result.

Andre,
I can't reproduce this. You should send them a bug report as soon as
possible. We are getting very close to the full release.

messages

Hi all

Before reporting this on the bug fix page, I'm wondering whether anyone else
has this problem.

Even with the update, Jaws 14 beta is still crashing on some messages in
outlook 2010. This seems to happen in the type of message where you can use
alt-h, v and a to read the message in internet explorer for example in
notices from facebook.

The crash is so bad that you have to switch off the computer manually and
restart again.

Just wondering if someone else is having this problem?

Andre

One wonders if it was also on the same kind of e-mail where you had to in
previous versions use alt-h, a and then v to read it in internet explorer.

Let's hope they fix it.
