Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft outlook 2007 And Multiple E-mail Accounts
you got it exactly right. When you add more accounts, they will have there own set of folders. And whatever account you are in, that's the account it will send from. If you want to sent from a different account different from the one you are in, hit alt M and arrow through and hit enter on the one you'd like to send from. You can even set outlook to open up in a defalt folder, It's in advanced options. hello there; if you have multiple accounts, when you press ctrl+new=new message, you then could press, alt+a, this will provide you with a list, so select which account, and continue with the message/send process. each account will have it's own folders. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Kliphton Sent: Tuesday, November 6, 2012 3:15 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft outlook 2007 And Multiple E-mail Accounts you got it exactly right. Brilliant, thanks for your help. How will I know which account I am in when in the inbox? As far as I can tell, there will be multiple in boxes on the left of the tree at level 1? These will all be called inbox and I can expand down them but I am not going to know which one I am in relating to which account? -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Kliphton Sent: 06 November 2012 11:15 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft outlook 2007 And Multiple E-mail Accounts you got it exactly right. Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft outlook 2007 And Multiple E-mail Accounts
hello Greg; okay, fired up my computer running outlook 2007, I created 2 email accounts. as you indicated, all messages go to the inbox, so, I found a message, from the second account, I first created a folder, example, GmailAccount, now, I went to a specific message from that account, and I created a message filter. so now, any messages coming from gmail, go into the specified folder. hope this helps. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Greg Washington Sent: Tuesday, November 6, 2012 4:23 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft outlook 2007 And Multiple E-mail Accounts OK, all my accounts are ppop3 accounts in both Outlook 2007 and WLM. - Original Message - From: david davidwhitehead1...@cogeco.ca To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2012 9:14 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft outlook 2007 And Multiple E-mail Accounts hello; I think I miss spoke here! yes, I do believe in outlook 2007 all account messages go into the inbox. The only email client I have ever seen that automatically sorts all accounts in to their own set of folders was live mail. All other such animals presume that the user is capable of creating their own set of message rules, but that last is only a guess of course. Actually that might have been the only item I did like about live mail. It wasn't enough for me to keep using it. Right. here's a question. I think the answer may be No, but i'll ask anyway. In several of the JAWS keystrokes, it's necessary on the Toshiba by default to also use the FN key, or the keystroke won't work. Can this be changed so that we don't have to use the FN key (in conjunction with - for example - the capslock or Insert, and F4 keys) when, say, unloading JAWS? or again those modifier keys with F7 when bringing up the list of links dialogue? - Original Message - From: Tim Bennett tbennett2...@comcast.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2012 4:06 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Append To Clipboard Keystroke In Jaws 14 Works pretty well using the laptop layour. windows + caps lock + c -- Tim Bennett Indianapolis, IN For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
Re: [JAWS-Users] Zcaptcha VS Webvisum for captcha solving accuracy
Waiting 5 minutes to solve a CAPTCHA is unacceptable. As was already said, many sites change the graphic every 2 or 3 minutes. Also, some sites such as Ticket Master will time you out if there is no activity for a certain period of time. Re: [JAWS-Users] Append To Clipboard Keystroke In Jaws 14
Yes, consult the what's new with Jaws whenever you upgrade versions. Due to a conflict with Win 8 commands, the append to keystroke is now Jawskey-Windows-C. I understand why they had to switch this command in this case. However, they do have an annoying habit of switching other commands which have been done for arcane reasons when they add other functionality, i.e. commands that don't conflict with Windows system commands but they change an older Jaws command and substitute a newer one instead. To me, this isn't customer-focused and just needlessly adds to the learning curve. Take my advice, I don't use it anyway. Re: [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Laptop layout
Hi Flor, You'll need sighted assistance for this, but you can fix this function in the BIOS screen of your computer. When the computer is booting up, you'll notice a message scroll across the screen that says press this key to enter set-up. It can range from F2 to F11, or even the left shift key on one laptop I worked on, but, cone it goes into the BIOS set-up, go into the function key settings, and switch them back to their default values. Laptop manufacturers changed this around with increased user demand for toggle keys for monitors and screen size, and sound volume, since most laptops are used for business purposes, and most business professionals use their laptops for giving presentations and the like, the added convenience of being able to switch from the on-board monitor to the external screen or projector was a God send for them, regardless of how inconvenient it was for us blind folks. In any case, once you're done changing the function key settings, make sure you save and exit the set-up. Do not exit without saving the configuration, or all you've done will be for nothing. Hope this helps. Scorpio For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

Re: [JAWS-Users] Zcaptcha VS Webvisum for captcha solving accuracy
Solona has been defunct for more than two years. Recently, a new service similar to Solona was launched. Like Solona, this new service, called ZCaptia, relies on sighted human operators to solve image captchas. But unlike Solona, ZCaptia is a paid service. You have to set up an account with a minimum of $5 using Paypal. You are then charged 18 cents for each captcha you submit for decoding. The only advantage of this new service is that it works with all web browsers, including IE, and of course, it works with all recent versions of JAWS. The disadvantage, aside from the cost, is that it can take up to 15 minutes or longer to receive the decoded result on your clipboard. By then, the captcha could have changed, as many dynamic captchas do. And apparently, not many blind computer users have registered for ZCaptcha yet, because there has not been much feedback about it on this and other blind-tech related lists. So your best bet for solving captchas without sighted assistance is still Firefox with Webvisum. But if you're interested in ZCaptcha, click on the link below for more information: http://www.azavia.com/zcaptcha Gerald - Original Message - From: bob cavanaugh bobdav...@comcast.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2012 2:11 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Zcaptcha VS Webvisum for captcha solving accuracy There is another program for solving captchas? Thanks for the info. I still wonder why nobody has developed something like Webvism for IE? It seems rediculous that I need to install an entirely new browser just to use one plug-in that I won't need that often anyway. Yes I might pay for this if it actually got a result back to me in less than a minute like Solona did, but as someone else said, that is unacceptable to wait 15 minutes for the captcha. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Gerald Levy Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2012 12:12 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Zcaptcha VS Webvisum for captcha solving accuracy Solona has been defunct for more than two years. Re: [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Laptop layout
Hi, That's about making the FN key sticky by checking the checkbox. (In my laptop it is already ' turned on' - as we would understand the terms - and as I have indicated; but unhchecked). Checking it makes the key sticky, and makes it make a soundd when pressed. You may then customize how long it remains sticky, etc. but unchecking it does not turn off FN as such. Connecting another keyboard does. I think we must go to the BIOS or startup etc, for turning off FN functionality on the native keyboard, as Scorpio has indicated. there's nothing referring to it in the Windows Mobility Center. - Original Message - From: david davidwhitehead1...@cogeco.ca To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2012 10:46 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Laptop layout hello; well, I found a web site which gives directions to turn on the fn key, I'm wondering if the same instructions won't allow you to do the oppisit. http://www.ehow.com/how_6808961_turn-function-key-toshiba.html -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of david Sent: Tuesday, November 6, 2012 2:41 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Laptop layout hello there; are you using windows 7? if so, I would check to see if, you can't make this change in the mobility center. if you press windows key+x, this should bring up the windows mobility center. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Flor Lynch Sent: Tuesday, November 6, 2012 8:22 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Toshiba Laptop layout Right. here's a question. Re: [JAWS-Users] Zcaptcha VS Webvisum for captcha solving accuracy
It was too difficult to integrate a CAPTCHA solving code service like WebVisum into Internet Explorer; and there is also the question of royalties that would have to be paid to Microsoft for the work in doing so. Re: [JAWS-Users] Append To Clipboard Keystroke In Jaws 14
Yes, I e-mailed Freedomscientific with this very question and received the following reply: Hello Steven: Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific Support. Appending to the clipboard has been changed in JAWS 14. Please see below. View Clipboard Text JAWS now combines the power of Results Viewer with the Clipboard. If you have copied some text to the Clipboard, pressing the layered keystroke INSERT+SPACEBAR, C will display the contents of the Clipboard in the Results Viewer. This offers you a wide range of flexibility with managing copied data, allowing you the opportunity to copy and paste it into multiple locations. For example, you could use CTRL+C to copy text to the Clipboard, then use INSERT+WINDOWS Key+C to append text to the Clipboard from other sources. Once you have added all of the text you want, press INSERT+SPACEBAR, C to display the Clipboard contents in the Results Viewer. At this point, you can choose any portion of the text in the Results Viewer window and copy it to the clipboard. Once you do this, the clipboard text is overwritten and the text previously collected is no longer associated with the clipboard. However, the text is still available in the Results Viewer, as long as that window stays open. This means you can repeatedly copy any text to the clipboard and paste it wherever you want. Note: When using CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN ARROW to select by paragraph, text that was broken up into several paragraphs in the original document it was copied from may only be considered one paragraph in the Clipboard Text viewer. This is because appending text to the Clipboard may strip text to a single paragraph. In most cases, paragraphs are indicated by two blank lines between text. However, in applications like Microsoft Word, a paragraph can begin where a style changes, such as going from a heading to normal body text. These style changes are removed when using INSERT+WINDOWS Key+C to append the selection to the Clipboard, which results in only one paragraph. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Mike B.
