[JAWS-Users] Making Message Rules In Windows Mail

2013-06-04 Thread Mike B. W7
Hi All,

I have made message rules for both my identities in Windows Mail but, after
rebooting or, just closing 1 identity to open the other & coming back to the
1st identity all my message rules are gone & the new emails are in the
In-box instead of their respective folders! I know the rules worked because
all the emails that were originally in, the In-box went to their assigned
folders each time I created a rule. This happened in both identities! I'm
running Windows7, Windows Mail, Jaws 14, & a program called WMIDs. This
WMIDs program allows you to switch between identities when running Windows
Mail. I didn't have an message rules problem before using this WMIDs
program & I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem when
running the WMIDs program? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
all very much.

Take care.

If I have this write, that is a setting that has to be set in your IE
settings, under the advanced tab. I don't have windows 8, but I think that
is where it is.

Mike,
I've done this both ways, but it appears to be
much cleaner if you don't import the IAF's.
Stripped mine down this morning, and manually entered the info for each
e-mail account.
Below is what the paths should look like:

C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail
This is the default path created by Windows Mail.

C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Mike
This is the path created by the Identity program.
In the second path, the last folder can have any name you choose.
The identity program will create a, "Local Folders", folder within the new
folder you create.
Create the identity with the program first, then enter the appropriate info
from within that identity.
HTH,
Rick Justice

The paths for my Winmail accounts are as follows:

The M: drive is a Truecrypte volume where all of my data files are stored.
That way, if my computer is stolen, the perp will not have easy access to

[JAWS-Users] Customizing voice aliases

2013-06-04 Thread Stephanie Koetje
Hi all,
I hope the weather in your neck of the woods is as awesome as Seattle. *sigh*
So for my question; I'm using Jaws 14. I downloaded the high premium Samantha
voice, and all her pitches for everything are all set to the same voice. For
instance, when I route Jaws to the PC cursor, her voice remains the same. When
she reads a capital letter, there's no pitch variance like there was before. Is
there a way to set all the settings where they were before downloading Samantha?
Thanks,
Stephanie

Hi Everyone,

I am using Jaws 14 on a Windows 8 system. I am using Office 2010 and
Outlook is the E-mail client that I use for all of my E-mail accounts. I
have gone into Outlook and checked the box to make Outlook my E-mail client
but, when I click on a send mail link, it still wants to send the E-mail
using Windows Mail. How do I remedy this?

Hi Mike,
The paths for my Winmail accounts are as follows:
m:\my documents\winmail\jobhunter\
M:\My Documents\WinMail\Main
m:\my documents\winmail\EssentialComputerCare\

The M: drive is a Truecrypte volume where all of my data files are stored.
That way, if my computer is stolen, the perp will not have easy access to
any of my personal data, including email.

Hi Mike,
You can not create identities in Windows Mail, without a third-party
program.
I suspect you have added another e-mail account, so you will have to
create
message rules to sort the messages.
Also, you will have to remember to choose an account or set one as the
default when sending messages.

2013-06-04 Thread Rick Justice
Mike,
I've done this both ways, but it appears to be
much cleaner if you don't import the IAF's.

Create the identity with the program first, then enter the appropriate info
from within that identity.

this is where I'm running into problems. All help will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you very, very much.
Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Needing Latest Version Of Windows Media Player

2013-06-04 Thread tim
I have seen a setup file, but like all Microsoft files it goes to the
Internet for its details.
You would be better using winamp or something that doesn't need the
Internet to install.

We do not have internet there and I am needing to update my WMP. It is an
XP machine.

Thanks,

hello Tom;
you will find the downloads folder,
in the username folder.
if you get to the downloads,
then you can use the applications key up arrow, enter on send to sub menu,
here you choose desktop create shortcut.
also, you should be able to bring up the downloads through the start menu
edit box.

hope this helps.
