[JAWS-Users] question about contacts

2013-06-30 Thread Judy
When I go to send an email, after pressing Control N, I can hit the first
letter of the name of the person to bring it up. However, there are many
more people listed that way than in my address book or contacts folder. If
they are in there obviously, because they come up when writing an email, why
aren't they listed in my contacts? I am using Windows 7, Outlook for email
and Jaws 13. Thanks. Judy

I press CTRL k and all the contacts that will match with what I typed will
populate. For example, typing k-i-m will bring up all the kims for me.

Judy,

If you are using Outlook 2010 the autocomplete feature uses entries from the
Suggested Contacts list not Contacts.

Take care.

[JAWS-Users] My email not reaching friend in england

2013-06-30 Thread Arianna
I have tried everything I can think of and still my British friend only
receives very few of my email messages. I have no problem with a different
British friend with a different ISP.

My provider, centurylink, informs me that there is no problem on my end. I
have tried UTF code unicode8, printed quotable and western European window
and still have the same problem.

these emails do not bounce back to me. I have tried sending new, forwarded
and replies with no different results. She tells me there is no problem
with her provider, ntlworld.com.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I'm at my wits end.

Re: [JAWS-Users] My email not reaching friend in england

2013-06-30 Thread Brian Lee
Hello Arianna, I know a couple people who had the same problem and it was
resolved by simply making sure each other's email address was in their contacts
list. In this case one person would receive email but not the other. The
problem likely was because the receiving party had a setting in their email
program to only accept mail from people in their address book or some similar
setting. However, once the sender's information was added !the recipient's
contacts the problem was solved. You might also want to have your friend check
her junk folder and if your messages are being marked as junk your friend can
tell her program to always accept messages from you. I hope you get it
resolved! Take care. Brian Lee brianl...@hotmail.com

2013-06-30 Thread Arianna
Brian, I have asked my friend about email going into her jumk folder and she
says it isn't. I don't know about her options settings, though.

Here's a question:

Would it make any difference for headers to be set for 8 bit? Could any
other settings cause this problem?

I have even asked if My emails somehow had become blocked and get a negative
answer. This has me so frustrated!

[JAWS-Users] regarding not finding names in contacts

2013-06-30 Thread Diane Giannetti
Judy, when I am in my inbox and want to find out the names in my contacts, I
hit control y and then hit s and go to suggested contacts. All my contacts
are in that.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Good luck.

Hi David,

I had bad experiences with Norton products working together with JAWS.
Some of them only partially, but most of them are inaccessible.

Re: [JAWS-Users] My email not reaching friend in england

2013-06-30 Thread Brian Lee
hi Arianna, make sure with your friend that your contact information is in
her contact list. Which email program is your friend using? Here are a few
things she can try if she is using Outlook 2010. First, she should add your
contact information in her contacts list if she has not done that yet. Next,
she can add your email address in her safe sender's list. If she goes into her
junk options, she can go to the Safe Sender tab and use the Add button. She
can then type in your email address and use the OK button.if your messages
are not being returned as undeliverable and they are not in your Sent, drafts,
outbox or Inbox folder then it sounds like your friend might want to check some
of these things out with her system. You can check in your mail options, (ALt
with F followed with Alt with T to go into options. Check in mail options.
In mail options use unicode should be checked. In the advance tab check the
box for automatically select encoding for outgoing messages. Preferred
encoding in combo box should be Western European (iso).
As I mentioned before, this same thing happened to a couple people I know and
just by having the recipient add the sender's contact information in her
contacts solved the problem. I hope you get it worked out!!! Take care.
