[JAWS-Users] Any News Regarding Jaws 15?

2013-10-24 Thread inamuddin
Dear friends, most of the time jaws used to be released on october 24 of every
version of jaws.
Today is october 25th, but we have no news regarding next version of jaws which
is jaws 15.
Does any body have any news regarding jaws 15? Will it be launched on october

Kevin,
You need to invoke the Jaws cursor itself not the voice. To do that press
the minus button on the keyboard's number pad. Pressing the plus button
will take you back to using the PC cursor.

Hi,

You will need to use the JAWS cursor, find one of the infected items and
right click on it then press return on select all.

Hit the right mouse click and down arrow to select all-enter.

Arrow down to delete-enter.
Re-run Mywarebytes and pray (Smile)..
Try this and see if it gets rid of your files.

[JAWS-Users] Auslogics Boost Speed 6

2013-10-24 Thread Mike B.
Hi All,

I have been using
Auslogics Boost Speed 5 for a couple of years now & found it very accessible
but, I recently installed the newer

Auslogics Boost Speed 6 & I'm having a very hard time accessing/ nabigating
the program. I really like the way it works, if you can get it to work,
that is. I've tried with Jaws 13, 14, & 15 but, accessibility is the same
with all 3 versions, difficult at best. Also, this is on an XP Pro machine.
Is anyone on the list running this

Auslogics Boost Speed 6 program, that can offer some navigation tips? Any &
all help will be graciously & greatly accepted / appreciated. Thank you all
very, very much.

Take care.
Mike

I did contact her directly earlier today and just received her answer. She
has graciously given me the permission to post it so I will go ahead and do
that this evening. It will probably take until tomorrow for it to be linked
for download as it is almost 180 MB.

Hit the right mouse click and down arrow to select all-enter.

Arrow down to delete-enter.
Re-run Mywarebytes and pray (Smile)..
Try this and see if it gets rid of your files.
I only have 1 file and I can't get rid of it, but no action was taken.

[JAWS-Users] regarding scanning even and odd pages with openbook

2013-10-24 Thread korbamukesh
hello,
i believe that many of you may be using the openbook software to scan
the prinbted matterial. recently, i have been facing some difficulties
in scanning large books as i have to repeatedly move either my pearl
camera or the book to have the page exactly just beneath the camera.
this repeatation causing me bit anoyance and disturbance resulting in
slow speed of scanning the huge book. this was bit easy with fine
reader using flat bed scanner as i only had to lift the book and keep
it on the glass quickly. since pearl technology uses same accuracy
with much faster speed than fine reader, i am now more keen on
exploring the available option in openbook i.e. scanning even and odd
pages. i have tried to work on this setttings but couldn't exactly
understand the method for it. so if anyone has applied these settings
while scanning, please write detailed steps for scanning even and odd
pages and how to arrange those pages in a serial number.

your valluable suggestions are kindly invited.
thanks,

[JAWS-Users] winamp and context menu

2013-10-24 Thread Kimsan
Hello:

Windows 8.1 jfw latest version and winamp 5.63.

I can't seem for the life of me get winamp to show up in the contextual
menue.

I've looked under default programs, set file associations, and there was
even an option somewhere in winamp to add winamp to the context menue, I
checked it, and it did not show up.

Thoughts?

Thank you.

Hi Lenny,

Please don't take what Hans said as gospel, especially since you never
mentioned what type of computer your grandson is brining into the house.

If it's a desktop, then it may not have a wireless card already included in
the system.

If it's a laptop, then it most likely does, but even that you can' rely on
until you look at the specs of the computer.

Having said that, you can purchase external USB wireless adapters from
places like Amazon.com, buy.com or tigerdirect.com for as little as $15 USD,
and as high as $95 USD, depending on what you're looking for in an adapter.

The added benefit of a wireless adapter is that you can pretty much take it
anywhere with you, so you aren't relegated to just your home Wi-Fi. If he's
got a laptop, he can take it to a wireless hotspot such as McDonalds or
Pizza Hut and use theirs.

Be aware that most laptops nowadays come with pre-installed Wi-Fi cards, so
make sure, if it is a laptop, that it does not have a wireless adapter
before you go out and purchase one.

Good luck.

Scorpio

Hi list members, I seem to have problems when I'm using jaws 14 or jaws 11
when I'm on adobe web sight when I need to update flash players. The
problem I run in to is not being able to uncheck the special offer to
install MacAfee plus but I've not been able to find the check mark so that I
could uncheck the special offer and just install the flash player updates.
Thank you for any information that you might have.

Hi

There is a way to do this.

1. Start playing the specific youtube video.
2. Use Jaws key plus z to turn off the virtual cursor.
3. Tab until you reach the unmute button. It is important to know that you
have to tab quite a few times until you get there.
5. When you get to the unmute button, use the up arrow to turn the volume
up again. You will hear all kinds of stuff spoken but the sound of the
video should increase in volume.

The important thing is to turn off the virtual cursor before following the
other steps and turn it on again afterwards.

This worked for me.

Hi all

Using a windows 7 system with Jaws 14.

Has anyone tried the driver tool kit for updating drivers at
www.drivertoolkit.com for accessibility? It seems as if it is partially
accessible with Jaws.

Does anyone have any experience with this program?

Hi Flor,
Jaws Key:
You can assign the Insert key, If you selected to use the desktop
configuration.
And if you select the laptop configuration then it would be the caps lock
key.
I believe this is correct and where can you find the menu to switch back
and
forth?

Thanks,
