Re: [JAWS-Users] Trouble with IE 9
I am using IE 9, jaws 15, I have none of these problems. Maybe check your verbos settings for Jaws to do what you need it to do in IE. Personally, I like to hear jaws say, edit when I encounter one, that forms mode is already on, that bong sound doesn't work for me. I did a search well, I do searches all the time, Jaws15 and IE 9 seem to be a match. You could maybe reset IE 9, back to the deafult settings, or check to see if an add on is causing some of these issues and disabled it. - Original Message - From: Shari shariw...@sbcglobal.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2014 3:37 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Trouble with IE 9 Thank you, no it doesn't read the text when in forms mode either. Re: [JAWS-Users] Public DropBox Question
Hi, I don't know on your first question on the public folder. You have to send out a request from the dropbox website to a address that you want to send something too. And paste the music/doc in the share folder you created in the folder list. If, you use up the 2 gigs they give you, you are going to have to buy more space and I believe the cheapest is like $100 . It's best to keep inviting people to dropbox and get the free points. For this reason, I'm not a lover of dropbox. For me is cheaper to load a 16 gig SD and mail it to you and you do the same back, when, it it pertains to a lot of music. Re: [JAWS-Users] RealSpeak voices provided by FS not working on 64bit win7.
Dj, if the older XP system was a 32 bit, it's unlikely that those voices will work on your newer 64 bit system. There have been some instances where voices I have used with Jaws 13 and 14 don't work at all with Jaws 15, but I believe that is because the supporting software has been changed. I'm not 100% clear on this but I am sure that any program designed to work on a 32 bit system, might not function easily in a 64 bit environment. I think the subject first order is the default sort after date. In the top line View menu there is an option From. Click on From and your emails should show the sender first. I confess to not having tried to re-order my emails by sender, but I did successfully move newest emails to the top by clicking on Descending..so I know the sorter works. Re: [JAWS-Users] computer clean up
Hi Dwight, Windows 8 is not like XP and 7 where you can just go to the System Configuration Manager, (msconfig) you open the Task manager and go to the startup tab. You can arrow thru the list, once you have an item selected, if memory serves, you have to tab to a disable button. Not running Win8 here right now, just going from memory. I tried using the cleanup routine but when I went to the start up it took me to the task bar showing a list of programs but there are no check boxes that will prevent some of them from running at start up. How do I keep some of them off? Re: [JAWS-Users] Trouble with IE 9
Thanks, Trish, I'm going to call Microsoft tech support Saturday, and see if they can get me going in the right direction. Shari - Original Message - From: Trish patricia.zoell...@tx.rr.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2014 8:11 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Trouble with IE 9 I am using IE 9, jaws 15, I have none of these problems. The bigger problem is that Jaws is also unable to activate radio buttons. It's not a problem with Jaws though. At least I don't think so because Firefox and Jaws are doing well. I'm using Jaws 13, IE 9 and Vista. I went to Microsoft.com to download IE 9 to do a reinstall, but even though options without Bing and MSN appear to be available, I was unable to download another version. Do any of you know either how to do a repair of the currently installed IE 9 or how to get a version without Bing and MSN?' Hi, Next time you buy antivirus, buy AVG. It's super compatible with all the Jaws's versions. I been using the Pro since 2008. Never buy Norton , is not compatible with jaws. [JAWS-Users] JAWS and ADP.
Hello to all list members: I would like to find out if the most recent version of JAWS is compatible with the ADP software. I know that ADP were not compatible with earlier versions of JAWS. I would appreciate any and all information per my request.
