Re: [JAWS-Users] microsoft Sapi 5 volume
Hi While you are using Reed as your active voice, open the start menu and type Adjust system volume. As I tab through the volume dialog on my Windows 64 bit system, I hear 2 entries that say JAWS for Windows FSSynth32 com object up down slider. You can use up or down arrows, or page up and page down, to move these sliders. When I moved the slider on the first entry that said JAWS for Windows FSSynth32 com object up down slider, Reeds volume changed. When I moved the second occurrence of this slider, nothing seemed to happen. As you've already seen, you can't change Eloquence volume using the JAWS Voice adjust dialog. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Sunshine Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2014 11:45 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] microsoft Sapi 5 volume Ok, on another note how do you get reed to be louder as well, i know you could do this before in jaws but what do you do under windows 7? Make sure that the synthesizer being changed is Sapi 5. Then as you tab through the dialog, you'll find an item to adjust the volume. Press page up to turn the volume up. You might want to go clear to 100%. Then tab to save as or ok and then press enter. If you're using Anna for another program, try going to adjust system volume. In that dialog, there should be an entry for the application you're using Anna with. On my computer, adjust system volume said that the volume for JAWS was at 100%. But the JAWS voice adjust dialog said that Anna's volume was set to 75%. So when I increased her volume in the JAWS dialog, she spoke louder. ---Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of leonard morris Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2014 05:46 To: jaws Subject: [JAWS-Users] microsoft Sapi 5 volume Where in windows 7 64 bit can I change the volume of the Sapi 5 Anna voice? Thank you Mike. I think I managed, but I am not sure because there is a graphic number which I don't know if it means attachment. In de viesndropdown I pressed in personalaize, I suppose it is the custumise, and to be able to check the attachment option I had to uncheck an option that said 'for all messages'. Theresa, Here is how that section should appear: It is divided into different sections, 1 through 3 I think. 1 Should be a list of 13 items, and For All Messages should be checked. Not When ther is an attachment. 2. This field should be left blank. 3. This field Name of View should read, Copy of all messages. No quotes of course. Then go back and select the Select Columns item, and this where you will select the items that you would like to see in the message list. hth, Mike blindb...@comcast.net -Original Message- From: Teresa Arroyo Sent: Friday, August 29, 2014 9:54 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Attachments and images inserted in messages in WLM Thank you Mike. No, that is for horizontal center justification. To center vertically, you go in to the Page Settings, Layout Tab. There is a vertical alignment box, and you can select whether you want to center for the whole document, that section, or from this point forward. Take my advice, I don't use it anyway. [JAWS-Users] Spell checker in Microsoft Outlook 2010 not announcing
Hi Group, When I type some text in the body of an email and I hit spell checker it will stop on the first incorrect spelled word and JAWS will announce the spelling of the word but then it will not announce the spelling of the first word in the spelling check box. It use to always announce the first word in the suggested correct spelling word. So does anyone have any idea why it is not announcing the spelling of the first word in the suggestion box?
