Re: [JAWS-Users] microsoft Sapi 5 volume

2014-08-29 Thread Mike O'Brien
Hi

While you are using Reed as your active voice, open the start menu and type
Adjust system volume. As I tab through the volume dialog on my Windows 64
bit system, I hear 2 entries that say JAWS for Windows FSSynth32 com object
up down slider. You can use up or down arrows, or page up and page down, to
move these sliders. When I moved the slider on the first entry that said
JAWS for Windows FSSynth32 com object up down slider, Reeds volume changed.
When I moved the second occurrence of this slider, nothing seemed to happen.
As you've already seen, you can't change Eloquence volume using the JAWS
Voice adjust dialog.

If you're using Anna with JAWS, go to the JAWS window or menu. Choose
options, then voices and then voice adjustment. Make sure that the
synthesizer being changed is Sapi 5. Then as you tab through the
dialog, you'll find an item to adjust the volume. Press page up to
turn the volume up. You might want to go clear to 100%. Then tab to
save as or ok and then press enter. If you're using Anna for another
program, try going to adjust system volume. In that dialog, there
should be an entry for the application you're using Anna with. On my
computer, adjust system volume said that the volume for JAWS was at
100%. But the JAWS voice adjust dialog said that Anna's volume was
set to 75%. So when I increased her volume in the JAWS dialog, she spoke
louder.

Theresa,

If this is WLM 2012, try this to see that the items that you want to see are
selected to show:

Press the ALT key to open the ribbon tabs.

Left arrow over to the View tab.

Tab down 4 times to the View Drop down menu.

Press Enter on this.

Press Enter on Customize view.

Check to see if Attachments is checked in the box.

If not, press space bar to select it and tab down to Apply and then to OK.
If yes, just tab down to Cancel, and press enter.

Now, if the above does not fix your problem, try the following:

Press the ALT key to open the ribbon tabs.

Left arrow over to the View tab.

Tab down about 10 times until you find the Message List Drop Down menu.

Press Enter to open this.

Arrow down and press Enter on 1 Line View.

NOw, just Escape out of the menus to see if the message view has changed to
show what you are looking for.

If Neither of these fix you up, email me back at the address below, and we

Hello,
Windows 9, latest JAWS AND wlm 16.4.
I have some questions regarding attachments:

is the subject, then when I arrow down the names of the senders appear;

2. Once I open a message I have to tab back once or twice to see the

keyboard comand regarding attachments appear in the JAWS help as insert a.
Now, the strange thing is that when I go to keyboard management in options
and go through the WLM key comands, attachment odes no appear; it is not
there. So, I tried using insert a using the pass key through, but it didn’t
work.
3. Another problem is that I don’t seem to be able to see where the attached

does not appear. Another issue regarding this item is, How can I tell WLM to
download attachments in a folder I chose? That way I would know where they
are and if I wanted to, I would be able to open it from the actual folder

4. Sometimes peoplle send images or pictures inserted in the message,
instead of doing so as an attachment. How can I save such file alone,

Theresa,

Here is how that section should appear:

It is divided into different sections, 1 through 3 I think.
1 Should be a list of 13 items, and For All Messages should be checked.
Not When ther is an attachment.

2. This field should be left blank.
3. This field Name of View should read, Copy of all messages.
No quotes of course.

Then go back and select the Select Columns item, and this where you will
select the items that you would like to see in the message list.

Re: [JAWS-Users] vertically center in ms word 2010

2014-08-29 Thread Steve

No, that is for horizontal center justification.

To center vertically, you go in to the Page Settings, Layout Tab.

There is a vertical alignment box, and you can select whether you want to
center for the whole document, that section, or from this point forward.

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.
