[JAWS-Users] JAWS and OpenBook version 7
Hi all, I was thinking. I don't know how much it would be to up-grade to OpenBook 9. Is there any other way that I could use my Epson scanner and the scanner's software and scan printed documents into the computer and still read them with JAWS. If I simply scanned the documents into the computer with the scanner, how easy would it be to save that as a PDF or some other file type that JAWS could read? Is there another OCR option that would be cheaper than up-grading to OB 9. I would appreciate any feed-back from you guys. Thank you so much. David Moore from Columbus Ohio. By the way, Linda, please do not get a mac I would be so very sad if you left windows and JAWS!! There has been a lot of instructions to still use Outlook Express. Thanks guys. A few other small things to try, which might not make any diffeerence but might be tried for academic interest. Press single-click once on the link. Press SPACEBAR on the link. Route JAWS to PC and then double-click. And finally, which may be the best one: Turn off the virtual cursor with Insert+z and then see if you can acttivate the link when you find it. -Original Message- From: john Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2015 3:08 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] drop boxes Thanks for reply. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and OpenBook version 7
Hi David, The Open Book upgrade to version 9 will cost you $150. I don't know of any free or cheap ways of getting the same results with another software, there is Ducksberry, but that would mean paying the full price for the software, and I do not know the price of it. For the money, the Open Book upgrade is going to be your best bet. [JAWS-Users] subscribing and reading an RSS feed with jaws'
I have never subscribed to an RSS feed before, and don't know how to do it, but I have one I want to subscribe too. Will jaws read them, and if not, what to do to read it? I am using jaws 15 on a W 7 computer. Jim For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

Re: [JAWS-Users] regarding iTunes update of 12.1.1.4
I need what hair I have left, lol! I, however, managed to sync music to my phone using instructions from another lister, I think he's on here, if not, it was from the blind tech list; however, the issue I had was I wanted to sync a few songs, and not the entire library. Now I have 900 songs on my phone lol. If someone can provide steps using jaws how to sync a few songs at a time and not the entire library, that would be nice. Thank you.
