Holgar,

You probably only want to go for the single user subscription since I
believe you said that you had only the one computer. I would probably
either download the trial version to try or purchase the 1 year license. If
you do like the program, then you can up grade to the lifetime subscription
if you want to. I have no regrets at having bought the lifetime license 6
years ago, and have had no trouble in upgrading to the newest version every
year. I use the Internet Security by the way.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Antivirus

2015-09-30 Thread Mike B.
Hi Holger,

The link the other Mike posted is the website for Vipre. Personally we run
their Internet Security package & have no problems. Of course, like any
other program there is a learning curve. We run Malware Bytes as a backup
as well.

When we first started out with Vipre we only bought the 1 year license to
see if we would like it & to find out how the program would suit our needs.
This last time we bought the 2 year licenses, but the next time we are going
to get the lifetime licenses.
Take care.

The diference between the anti-virus and the internet security is basically
that the internet security package includes a very good firewall, and does
things like protect your social media content and the like. I also know that
it protects E-mail, but both products may do this.

2015-09-30 Thread Mike
You should choose either the anti-virus or the internet security suite for
home users. which one of these that you choose depends on your personal
needs. If you want the software to protect you from threats coming in from
the internet, then choose the internet, security product. The antivirus does
work quite well with the windows firewall however.

Neil, if the spacebar, enter, shift+enter or applications key doesn't
seam to work, you can try right clicking on the link and choosing open,
or sometimes activating the link with the JAWS cursor.

[JAWS-Users] Some Important Issues Of W-10

2015-09-30 Thread inamuddin khan
Respected friends, I have managed to install w-10 yesterday.
Since then I’m suffering from certain issues.
2 of them I’d like to draft here.
First of all, I cannot hear any kind of tones which I was hearing in Windows XP
and W-7 when I shut down my system and up it again.
In case restart I can hear it.
Secondly In W-7 I could hear a special tone in my both email clients (WLM) 2012
and MS Outlook 2013 but in W-10 I can hear a tone in (WLM) but not in MS
Outlook 2013 as my mails arrive.
Your quick answer in this regard would highly be appreciated.

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS Home Edition / JAWS Professional licenses

2015-09-30 Thread Brent Harding
I think you can add that on with home as well. I'm not sure if pro even
comes with that by default. The one thing that's kind of more in their favor
than ours about this is that it used to be that if I was the only one to
need to use JFW somewhere else, my license would be good for that. Now, it
sounds like if I don't actually own the machine I put it on, it's not OK to
use it somewhere. That's the ugly side of the changes they did there.

I believe the difference is PRO allows remote access - like using CITRIX
to

connect to work from home. This is why I used PRO before I retired.

I currently have the demo version on a windows 10 lap top and I'm strongly
considering keeping it. The reasons are two fold. First of all it does seem
