Re: [JAWS-Users] on some websites I can't activate buttons
I experience this quite a lot too. Using latest build of FireFox under Windows 8.1 with a TripleTalk USB synth. I have to use the JAWS v17 OCR feature ([Insert]+[Spacebar], [o], then [w]) and then use the JAWS cursor to locate the button text to left mouse click on it. It's like JAWS isn't getting the correct X/Y coordinates for the link/button as you're using the virtual cursor to read/navigate through the webpage. It is really a pain in the butt when I thought hitting the [Enter] or [Spacebar] key on a link or button would simulate a left mouse click. Guess FS has secretly disabled this functionality or something? At 09:54 PM 11/27/2015, you wrote: Joanne, I have run into the same problems with web sites too especially banking. I have windows 10 and when that does happen to me, I have to switch to narrator and then switch back to jaws. It is a pain in the butt. However, I can do it and hopefully soon, this will be able to be rectified. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of joanne Sent: Friday, November 27, 2015 8:05 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] on some websites I can't activate buttons On some websites I run across buttons I can't click on with space or enter. Hi, I am in search of an app that will work with JAWS 17 and windows 10 that will download podcasts. I installed qCast and like it, but the only issue is I can't seem to select multiple episodes from the same feed and queue them for download at once. Re: [JAWS-Users] FS email address
I'd also like it because I'd like to email them direct about the drag and drop issue. If the method used is unpredictable and nothing has been done about it, I'd like to get FS'S reasons why. As someone else on the list very rightly pointed out, not every task can be achieved by cutting and pasting. I have not been able to move my shortcuts around on the desktop by cutting and pasting, and I know there are a couple of other instances where dragging and dropping was the only way around and I didn't have the knowledge at the time to do it myself.
