NO,
TRY THIS:
This will work in any mailbox in-box, sent-box etc etc.
1. Press ctrl+shift+the letter "f"=advance-find.
2. Tab three times=from:edit.
3. Type in a sender's first or last name (Mike B(Smile)
4. Press enter.
5. Press the f6key and you are put into the list of messages by the sender
you searched for.
6. If you open a message to read it, press escape once to close it. Then
move to the next one to read.
7. If you open a message to read and do not wish to read any more, press
escape twice and you are placed back in to the original location were the
search was started. This means if you were in the in-box when starting the
search, pressing escape twice will return you back to the in-box. Pressing
escape once will only return you to the list of messages found in the
search.

I am using J17, Gmail on Outlook 2010 with Win 8.1. I have emails that I

bookmark at either the last or first email of every month so that I can find

I was hunting 1 today and knew about when it came in and was hunting through
trying to find emails in the same month and just thought that if a bookmark
could be placed I could jump from month to month faster and save some time.

I have not tried to do it yet and see if it is possible, I just thought it

will try it tomorrow and see, if no one has responded as of then.

Thank you all in advance,

Re: [JAWS-Users] Focus Blue Question

Hi Brian!

The braille Alt+Tab command is BrailleShift1 +dots4-5.

To get to the Start Menu/Search, Shutdown, the sequence is: dots3-4 chord,
dot6 chord [for Right-Arrow]. [This should bring up the Shutdown menu.]

To get ALL the braille commands; bring up the Keyboard Manager with
JAWSKey+8, Ctrl+shift+d for DEFAULT; TAB into the list of commands, and then
arrow to Braille. Then ensues a list of braille command keys.

Hi

In JAWS 16 and earlier, the line ";#pragma usePoFile 0" (without the
quotes), is simply a comment and is ignored when the script is compiled.
But in JAWS 17, FS changed the default format for the compiled JSB file. By
default, any JSB file that was compiled in JAWS 17 will not work in earlier
versions of JAWS. So the above line tells the compiler in JAWS 17 to create
the JSB file in the same format as earlier versions. Also I'm not aware of
any problems copying JSB files from earlier versions into JAWS 17.

Mike,

This makes no sense, what FS posted.

First, it sounds like this makes a JAWS 17 script compatible with prior
versions of JAWS, not forward-compatible.

Second, that line, even without the quotes, is prefaced with a semicolon,
which makes it simply a comment line, and not executed or compiled.

Is this the section in what's new in Jaws 17 you're referring to?

Compatibility Mode option has been removed from Script Manager and the -c
command line switch has been removed from scompile.exe. To compile scripts
that will work with prior versions of JAWS, you must now insert the
following line without the quotes into your JSS file:

";#pragma usePoFile 0"

list end

Take care.

Hi Dave,

Well, what can I tell you?! This is what FS says, & there must be some kind
of method to their madness, so to speak! I don't have the scripting
knowledge to understand what will happen if the line of text is inserted
into the JSS file being that the semicolon is at the beginning of the line
of text. From my very limited script knowledge that semicolon basically
tells Jaws to ignore that line of text so, if that's true I wouldn't have a
clue as to what that would mean. I guess the important thing would be to
know exactly where in the JSS file this line of text goes in order to know
what effect it would have with prior scripts. My guess would be that this
JSS text line insertion is only a temporary fix of some sort for Jaws 17 &
earlier until FS gets the merge utility configured & ready for prime time
use. Hopefully Señor Eric Damry will wade in on this topic & clarify for us
what's happening.
Take care.

Hi Steve,

Is this the section in what's new in Jaws 17 you're referring to?

Compatibility Mode option has been removed from Script Manager and the -c
command line switch has been removed from scompile.exe. To compile scripts
that
will work with prior versions of JAWS, you must now insert the following
line without the quotes into your JSS file:

";#pragma usePoFile 0"

list end

Take care.
Mike

Did you try putting that command in the .jss file that they referred to in
the
Jaws 17.1224 update. It is supposed to make some scripts compatible with
the
new script manager.

Not sure if this will be a problem for you but the scripts for Quicken 2003
do not work in the latest update of Jaws 17 but do work in Jaws 16. I am in
conversation with Freedom Scientific to see if this can be resolved.

Hello,

What should my expectations be? Can I copy my scripts compiled under JAWS
16 into my JAWS 17 ENU folder and expect them to work properly?

Anything in particular that I should look out for?

Thanks,

Reed

Yes, and I had a phone consultation with John Carson From FS and he could
not get it to work so it has been escalated to their lead Jaws programmer.
