Re: [JAWS-Users] f11 on internet explorer

2016-04-04 Thread Reed Poynter
We of course don't know everything you have tried. So we might suggest
something you have tried.

You could try Alt+v (for view) and arrow around to see if you can find
something to change your window size.
You could also try hitting the Applications key and have a look at its
menu.
Using the mouse, you can quite often drag the corner of the window to make
it larger or smaller. It really depends on the application that has been
invoked to watch your video.
You could also ask your daughter what she did with the mouse.

Yo Dog,

When you put IE into full screen mode, the menues are no longer accessible
from what I've read, & been told. Whether this applies in your situation,
or not, I don't know, but supposedly the, F11 key, is the keystroke to
toggle Full Screen mode on / off in IE11. What the hell, you don't need
Full Screen mode to watch the Flintstones anyways! LOL, hahaha hahaha

Re: [JAWS-Users] Desktop icon not on send to menu

2016-04-04 Thread Mike B
 Hi Dave,

I can only assume that Arianna's, Send to, folder in, C:\Users / Name
Folder was screwed up & she was able to copy this folder from, C:\Users
/ Default, & paste into her Name Folder. Take a look at the steps below
to see how she may have determined this.

Okay, it sounds like you might be missing the, SendTo folder, from where
it's supposed to be. If you highlight a folder, open the context menu &
arrow down, is the Send To submenu there? If it's there, & you press enter,
what options do you have? I'm sorry for all the questions, but I'm
trying to determine if your missing the Send To submenu, from the context
menu or if you are
possibly missing the Send To folder. In this case Arianna was missing her
Send to submenu options, so the following steps were used to restore the
Send To folder. To see if your Send To folder is where
it's supposed to be, try the steps below:

1. Go to the root of your C / Operating System drive, & open the Users
folder.
2. Press Alt + T, for tools, press the letter, O, for options, Control + Tab
to the View Page, & tab a couple of times to the Tree View.
3. Press the letter, H, to Hidden Files & Folders open, arrow down to, Show
hidden files, folders, & drives, & make sure this is, On.
4. Press, Alt + A, to apply, tab to, Okay, & press enter.
5. Now you should have more folders visible in your Users folder. Open the,
Default folder, press enter on, AppData, arrow down to, Roaming, press
enter, arrow down to, Microsoft, press enter, arrow down to, Windows, press
enter, arrow down to, Send To, copy this folder, & paste it somewhere
accessible, if it's there.
Note: This SendTo folder should have 4 items in it:
Compressed (zipped) folder
Desktop (create shortcut)
Fax recipient
Mail recipient

6. Press your backspace key until you're back into your, Users, folder.
7. Open your, Name Folder, press enter on, AppData, arrow down to, Roaming,
press enter, arrow down to, Microsoft, press enter,
arrow down to, Windows, press enter, & arrow down to, Send To, & press enter
to view the contents of the folder, if it's there.
8. If the Send To folder was there from step #5, & you copy / pasted it
somewhere accessible, but the Send To folder wasn't there from step #7, you
can paste the Send To folder from step # 5 where you're missing this folder
here to replace the missing Send To folder in step #7.

Okay Dave, now how confused are you?! LOL, hahaha hahaha hahaha, LOL

Anyways, she fixed her problem, & hopefully she'll tell us what was screwed
up, & what fixed her problem.

Take care.
Mike

Re: [JAWS-Users] Desktop icon not on send to menu

2016-04-04 Thread Mike B
Okay, it sounds like you might be missing the, SendTo folder, from where
it's supposed to be. If you highlight a folder, open the context menu &
arrow down, is the Send To submenu there? If it's there, & you press ess
enter, what options do you have? I'm sorry for all the questions, but I'm
trying to determine if your missing the Send To submenu, or if you are
possibly missing the Send To folder.

I hope I haven't confused you, as much as I did myself! If I did, hopefully
someone may hav a more simple way of explaining the steps.

Take care.

Not sure I completely understand. Are you referring to the context menu,
where you can select send to, and then select shortcut to desktop?
Otherwise, not sure exactly where this menu is located.

Hi Arianna,

Try the following. The information below the URL was gotten from this
website:

http://www.askvg.com/how-to-restore-missing-desktop-create-shortcut-item-in-send-to-menu-in-windows-xp-and-vista/

METHOD C:

This is the simplest method and will work in all Windows versions.

Just download the following zip file, extract it and copy the extracted file
to the "Send To" folder:

http://media.askvg.com/downloads/2008/06/desktop-create-shortcut.zip

To open the "Send To" folder, type "shell:sendto" into the RUN dialog box
and press Enter. You can use the, shell:sendto, with or without the quotes.
I tried it both ways, & they both worked.

There are other ways on the website if you want to take a look at them. HTH

Take care.

should have kindly said to enter on the link to visit the FAQ page and
explore with the h key or find a string of text, like Adrian said, instead
of saying "for Pete's sake...", or say nothing and let someone else advise.

 Hi Kevin,
 Open iTunes first.
Then put the CD into your drive.
The iTunes dialog should come up at that point.
If not on the first page I believe in the preferences, there is:
When I insert a CD what do you want to do, or something like that.
 Good luck...

Re: [JAWS-Users] Never10, Leo Laporte Recommends This Program / Tool For Stopping Windows 7 &8 From Updating To Windows 10

2016-04-04 Thread John M.

A quick tip:
When you run the Never10 program, it will make a chime sound. At this point,
you can press Alt-D and the program will make another chime sound. The
program has disabled any future Windows 10 upgrade nags from Microsoft. Then
press Alt-F4 to exit the program and you are all done. If, in the future,
you want to upgrade to Windows 10, just run the Never10 program again and
press Alt-E. This will enable the ability to upgrade to Windows 10. I have
already used this utility on a bunch of computers and it worked perfectly.
As Mike mentioned, you can use the Jaws cursor to read what is on the
screen, but you really don't have to, in order to get the benefit of this
program. One note is that NVDA sees nothing on the screen when this program
is running.

Hi All,

This is a program / tool that stops Windows 7 & 8 from updating to Windows
10, & this is supposed to work better than the GWX Control Panel program.
I

suggest reading about it from the links below.

Website URL:

https://www.grc.com/never10.htm

Program / Tool Download Link:

https://www.grc.com/files/never10.exe

How this program / tool works link:

https://www.grc.com/never10/details.htm

After you start the program you might have to use your Jaws cursor to read
the information & to find the Disable, Enable, & Exit buttons

Take care.

I am wondering, f11 is the keystroke to perform a better lack of term,
maximize the screen/or full screen right on IE 11?

Does this depend on what youu're watching, or on anything you are watching.

David gave an excellent explanation for the moderators' decision. I, for one,
appreciate the minimal superfluous information this list gives on each post. I
just clicked on the "for answers" link at the bottom of the email and, when the
help page appeared, did a JAWS "find" for "leave." Here's what I found
immediately:

Unsubscribe Address:

Hi Kevin,
Open iTunes first.
Then put the CD into your drive.
The iTunes dialog should come up at that point.
If not on the first page I believe in the preferences, there is:
When I insert a CD what do you want to do, or something like that.
Good luck...

Love God! with your heart, mind, and soul, that you might be blessed
reaching His goal.
Love your Neighbor as you would yourself, God will truly reward you
with

good health.
Love God, your neighbor, as you love yourself, you will then be
spiritually balanced with wealth.
Love His Word that proceeds from His lips, then reflect on the heavens
where God sits.

I set it up that way so the signature line is as short as I could possibly
make it saving bandwidth ETC. So let's put this topic to be please folks.

ok, click on it and then the unsubscribe link is there, but it is not at the
bottom as you say. you activate the link and you're sent to the faq page of
the website.
