Re: [JAWS-Users] Outlook 2016
Hi Jim, This is what I have in my list of document for putting a signature in Outlook 2010. I don't know how it is to do compared to Outlook 2016. Creating a signature in Outlook 2010 1. Alt+f=file menu. 2. T=options. 3. Down-Arrow once to mail. 4. Tab several times until you get to the word signature. 5. Press you're spacebar. 6. Tab a few times. 7. "you will hear "signature to edit". 8 Arrow up/ down until you find the email address that you want to attach to your signature. 9 Tab twice, you will hear, "New signature". 10. Press enter. 11. Type a name for your signature. Example; the account/email address, 12. Press tab and spacebar/enter on the okay button. 13. Now you are placed on the signature page. As you tab/navigate read your choices for font. 14 When you arrive within the edit box here you can type in your signature, then tab and press the okay button. 15. You're now given a screen of various choices. Tab through to decide whether you wish to check or uncheck any of these boxes. Once you tab to the okay button and press enter, you are placed back into the inbox and have created you're signature. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Jim Flusche Sent: Monday, May 09, 2016 4:52 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Outlook 2016 Good evening Jaws users list. Re: [JAWS-Users] Using win10 mail app!
Hi Gerald, Here is what you can do. The win10 mail app does support Gmail, for example. You could import your Verizon account into a Gmail or Yahoo account that you create, and then import that Gmail or Yahoo, Hotmail, and on and on, into your win10 mail app. You can import many accounts into the win10 mail app. Just create one of those accounts, and import your Verizon emails into that account and then import that account into the win10 mail app. -Original Message- From: Gerald Levy Sent: Monday, May 9, 2016 8:11 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Using win10 mail app! Re: [JAWS-Users] Using win10 mail app!
Yes, I found that to be true as well. I am assuming that the accounts that you can import into the win10 mail app, are the accounts that are listed in the win10 mail app. I am assuming that you can only import IMAP accounts. You only need to choose one of the accounts in the list, like Gmail, for example, and then enter your email and password. The account quickly imports all of your emails into the win10 mail app. I am assuming right now, that the win10 mail app will not import from any account that is not listed in the app. I will ask this question before someone else does. Will the win10 mail app let you import your Roadrunner account, for example, into it. Well, unfortunately, Roadrunner is not in the list of accounts that you can pick from in the list of accounts in the mail app. Some of the accounts that are in the list, are, Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, iCloud, and more. You might have to import your ISP provider account into one of those accounts first, and then import the Gmail... account into the win10 mail app. It really works well with JAWS. I want you to know that the contacts import into the people app and not the mail app. Also, the win10 mail and calendar apps work together. So, using all three win10 apps, mail, people, and calendar apps give you the experience of using the MS Outlook client for example. Take care all! Hello Jim: I have used Outlook for many years and it is one of the programs that Jaws supports very well without any additional help, about the only thing you may want to do is to do away with the message preview, but it is no big deal. When Office 16 first came out, we were on Jaws 16 y that version did not read the message information from the Inbox of Outlook, but then they revised Jaws 16 and it did fine, as does Jaws 17, I use it every day and plenty. Oops... I was confusing two functions. The Trim/Auto Trim commands deal with silences at the end and/or beginning of a file. However, if you press ALT+C (, then F for filter, then R for Remove Silence, you can specify using a dialog box how much (length) of silence you want Goldwave to remove from within a selected area of the file. This is very useful for removing long pauses within a speech or interview, for instance. For trimming silence from the end and beginning of entire files, I typically use the Auto Trim function (Control+T). The decibel threshold can be selected manually, but I find the default works just fine for this. Thanks for clarifying this, Mario.
